Chapter 4 - Signal and Danger

Edis leaned in with interest, eager to learn more about the T1 Iron Rod Swarm. "Infer, tell me more about the T1 Iron Rod Swarm," he requested.

Infer began to explain, his voice resonating with a tone of authority.

"The T1 Iron Rod Swarm is a formidable creation, designed for tactical superiority through sheer numbers."

These machines are equipped with simple yet effective weapons and powerful plasma thrusters., each measuring between 3 and 4 meters in length."

Edis nodded, absorbing the information. "What makes them unique?" he inquired.

"In addition to their numerical advantage, the T1 Iron Rod Swarm employs a strategic approach to assassination," Infer elaborated. "As they close in on their target, each machine is capable of exploding and attacking the enemy ships via kinetic force., maximizing their effectiveness in eliminating threats."

"Each iron rod has a T1-level small particle bomb, which is enough to cause ten diameters of explosion."

Edis furrowed his brow in contemplation. "So, they're not only numerous but also deadly at close range," he remarked.

"Exactly," confirmed Infer. "Their combination of numerical superiority and precision targeting makes them a formidable force on the battlefield."

Edis mulled over the implications of such a weapon. "Their strategic versatility could prove invaluable in various scenarios,"

"Indeed," replied Infer. "The T1 Iron Rod Swarm offers a potent solution for both offensive and defensive operations, providing a versatile tool for maintaining security and exerting influence."

-

Edis thought for a while and smiled.

"How much energy and mass are needed to produce a T1-iron rod?" he asked.

A few seconds later, Infer replied to him.

"With 1 energy and 1 mass point, 10 units of T1-Iron Rod Drones can be created."

Edis pondered for a moment and looked around. Plans for the future were quickly forming in his mind.

After a short while, Edis took action once a specific idea had formed in his mind.

"Infer, use 5 energy and mass points to create T1-iron rod drones."

With Edis's command, Infer sprang into action, and within a short time, 50 Iron Rod Drones began to materialize before his eyes, standing in rows of two at a height of 5 meters above the ground.

"They look really good." Edis said.

True to their name, the iron rods were cylindrical bars with a thickness of 1.5 meters and a length of 3 meters.

At their tips, there was a black area resembling a camera lens, with a red light in the center of the black lens.

"Infer, the control is in your hands, isn't it?" Edis asked.

Infer responded within a few seconds.

"Yes, Host, the computing power I possess is sufficient to control millions of simple machines like iron rods, each exhibiting different behaviors simultaneously."

Edis nodded in agreement and said it to himself with a smile on his face.

"In the future, creating Android robots that look like humans to avoid feeling lonely makes sense. Not only can I assign tasks to them, but I can also create an image of civilization."

Meanwhile -

In the bustling control room of the Kriz Race, a species of humanoid creatures, aboard their spacecraft "Kriz Cruiser One," a woman among them turned towards the commander, Eflor. With a concerned expression, she spoke up, her voice cutting through the hum of activity in the bridge.

"Commander Eflor, we're detecting some unusual signals emanating from a moon within the ED-1 star system," she reported, her tone tinged with a sense of urgency. "It's unlike anything we've encountered before.

The signals appear to be fluctuating in frequency and intensity, suggesting some form of activity or communication. We should investigate further to determine the source and nature of these transmissions."

Eflor paused, deep in thought. "Receiving a signal from a moon within the 'Dark Space' star system is unexpected," he mused aloud. Taking a deep breath, he turned his head towards the woman providing him with information, named Arian, and began to speak.

"Arian, you're suggesting that we take action on this matter. But if the individuals sending the signal are indeed dangerous, what should we do?" he inquired.

Arian swallowed lightly, thinking to herself, "Commander is testing me."

"Commander Eflor, I believe that both Kriz Cruiser One and Two are in a good defensive position. If the other party adopts a dangerous and aggressive stance, I'm confident we can handle it," Arian responded.

Eflor smiled and nodded in agreement. "A simplistic mindset, but acceptable."

Turning his head to the right, Eflor addressed a red-haired man named Marles before continuing, "Marles, how long will it take us to reach the signal's location if we don't waste fuel unnecessarily?"

Marles, serving as the navigator of Kriz Cruiser One, began to make calculations on the computer panel in front of him. After a brief moment, he replied,

"Commander Eflor, if we chart a course and refrain from using ion motor technology, we can reach the signal's location within 2 weeks."

Eflor took a deep breath and spoke,

"We'll proceed towards the signal, and at the same time, Arian will attempt to send a counter signal and establish communication. Let's see who the signal senders are. Hopefully, they're not pirates."
