Arc 2 Chapter 2.2 ( Interstellar Beast World )

Two weeks later , Duan Xiaoli and Lai Xiurong should have been asking for Hu Jie's hand already . However , Zone did not request for Hu Jie in front of his parents and that plot disappeared .

Duan Li met Hu Jie at the past . When the cute Duan Li lost himself in the amusement park , a kind hearted kid brought him to the guard house and made a request to call Duan Li's parents who were still seeking for Duan Li .

It was Hu Jie who brought him to the Guard House . Duan Li never met a kid like him because he had always stayed at home being pampered by the Duan parents. 

Recieving a single goodness from a kid made it unforgettable for Duan Li . Zone somewhat disdained Duan Li for being foolish .

Sipping on a chocolate milk tea quietly a woman with a wavy hair suddenly blocked his path . Zone paused on sipping and moved his eyes to the woman's countenance .

The woman had a faint blush on her cheeks seemingly flustered by just standing in front of him . Although he is somewhat irritated he still flashed a gentlemanly smile . " How may i help this beautiful miss? "

The woman seemed surprised at first before blushing again . " I-i am Shiela , your ex girlfriend at high school . "

Hearing such familiar name , Zone went stiff as his eyes moderately widened . Violence flashed within his eyes before it quickly disappeared as if it never happened .

Coincidentally , Shiela was also the name of this Duan Li's ex . Such coincidence , it made Zone suspicious about the connection between him and Duan Li .

" Oh! You're Shiela , i almost didn't recognized you . You have become more beautiful ah? I'm somehow regretful 'bout the break up hmm. "

Shiela indeed looked slightly similar to Shiela aside from her hairstyle and eye color.  Base on the characteristics Zone have observed within a minute.  She must be a feline just like him . A cute leopard .

Finding his stare upon her body.  Shiela blushed quickly and stammered.  " Duan Li , i-i still like you until now . "

" I like you too "

Shiela's eyes widened as her heart beat quickly . " R-really? "

" Yeah , shall we date? "

" Sure! I mean... Yeah! "

Zone chuckled and patted her hair . " I missed the time we spent before.  I really regret that I did not treat you better than how your moonlight treated you. If i had successfully removed that man from your heart back then.  The break up would have never happened.  "

Zone's eyes seemed to have passed through her . And he was not talking to Shiela that was in front of him , but the same Shiela he dated before and the reason of his death . 

Shiela did not noticed this but teared up when age heard his statement . " I'm sorry , i regret it ,i regret Duan Li . "

" Shhh , it's ok . It was also my fault that i was unable to divert your attention from him to me.  I wish , we could start again and redo the happy things we had done before , is it ok Shiela ? " Zone hugged Shiela with an affectionate face while patting her back .

Yet the moment Shiela was unable to see his face , Zone's eyes flashed a hint of cruelty and disdain before it quickly changed back to remorse and regret. 

His lips went down and kissed her temple before hugging her again.  Shiela thought that she successfully seduced Duan Li and was so happy that she couldn't help imagining her life of riches.  While Zone was thinking of how to play with her feelings , playing an affectionate regretful boyfriend and dump her later on .

Zone dragged Shiela out of the mall and started dating like normal couples.  They even took a selfie together and tagged each other on social media .

However , Shiela was unaware that Zone was only fooling her for the sake of his interest and mischievous thoughts.  Zone didn't even realize his own change .

" I must make her the most cute and lovable lover to present my parents . This gold digger must be trained . Trained... Yeah , aren't we just dating for our own interests? What's the matter ? " Zone thought about for some minutes then smiled after he confirmed that nothing's wrong with his thoughts .

Exiting his bathroom , Zone wiped his hair with a towel while his lower part was wrapped . Sitting on the bed , he slowly comb his silky hair and clicked his tongue in satisfaction .

A notification flashed on his phone . Zone picked it up and saw that it was his doll girlfriend .

Shiela : have you already eaten?

Zone : Not yet

Shiela : Go eat now

Zone : Let me eat you then .

On the other side , Shiela screamed internally and blushed furiously .

She immediately typed : Pervert!

Zone : Hehe

Shiela cussed and wondered why did she not noticed how arousing this guy was . Then suddenly a photo was sent to her by Zone.  She clicked and saw that it was the half naked selfie of Duan Li who just came out of the bathroom .

Blood flushed to Shiela's head as heat started coming out of her temples like an evaporating boiling kettle .

" Kyaaaaah!!!! "

Shiela screamed and started jumping up and down in excitement .

Zone closed his phone and went back to his own business and change his clothes . He pressed on his phone again and change Shiela's nickname.

Jiro plopped his tired body on his king sized bed in exhaustion . He had just finished meeting his ministers and correcting some of their mistakes . Most of his works were still half done and Jiro was already this stressed , no wonder he didn't like attending the daily meeting of the emperor and ministers in his past life as a general . He just wanted to fight .

[ Master , should i present to you your Mission right bow? ]

Jiro hummed in agreement before sitting up properly .

[ Mission Introduction : The main protagonist of this world is Duan Li of the Duan Family which were reknowed for their gorgeous beauty . Currently , Duan Li was reborn and his main goal was to make Hu Jie's heart to break for the same reason , betrayal .

Your mission is to prevent Duan Li's mind to completely go astray and keep him from becoming more of a sociopath . You can do anything as long as his empathy comes back and learn how to love again.  ]

Jiro snorted and didn't dwell on Doze's ominous words and turned back to hit his head on his pillow and closed his eyes .

" What time are we on the plotline.  "

[ There's no plotline , the plotline were only based on what happened before the time was reversed.  The reason why i can't give you the plotline was because i , a mere system is not a prophet who can see the future.  ]

[ Moreover , due to Duan Li's rebirth there might be gigantic changes that will occur . ]

Well Jiro really can't blame Doze about that . Doze was never a god to begin with and fictions are different compared to the reality  .

Moreover ... Jiro suddenly couldn't help but massage his temple in stress . It is because his subordinates started urging him to choose an empress and consorts . The original owner of his current body was just the same as his former self , an asexual who was never sexually attracted to neither male nor female ,hence there had been no concubines living inside the vacant palaces around the main palace .

Jiro lifted his face and looked through the window , there he behold the vast space in the sky as numerous stars twinkled faintly .

" If you learned that you're wife's no longer a virgin . Will you feel upset? " Jiro asked curiously .

Zone's eyes turned cold . " Of course , what's mine should be mine . It mustn't be touched by someone else."

" What will you do to her? "

Zone chuckled . " Kill her probably? "

" ... "

" ... That's kinda ruthless yeah? But i just don't want my partner to have already been touched by others . Others might not have concerns about it , but it upsets me imagining that my partner had once been intimate with someone else before i arrived at their life. "

" But what if ... You truly love her ... Will you tolerate the fact that she's no longer virgin . "

"I don't know ... I'll get there once i fall inlove with someone . "

Recalling that memory in their youth , Jiro sighed sarcastically . Zone does not want a lover who was no longer pure .

No wonder he was turned off . Maybe Zone thought that he really had sex with the girls he fakely dated at the time he learned of Zone's feelings for him and felt that Jiro was disgusting .

A month had passed as Shiela gradually fall inlove with Zone deeply , intoxicated with his charms and fiction like personality .

Shiela hugged Zone tightly as she opens her mouth while Zone feeds her popcorn . This is their lovey dovey time and Shiela couldn't get full with this . Zone's body is so warm and comfortable that she doesn't want to let go , coupled with the fact that her boyfriend is rich.  Shiela felt like her life is going on the happy path .

She kinda feel guilty though , even though Zone is good to her . She ... Still flirts with her flings outside . But Shiela doesn't worry about this as she would never let Zone find out about her cheating .

" Full? " A gentle voice entered her voice vibrating within her ears . Shiela blushed and nodded .

" But I'm not full yet . "

Shiela stammered " Th-then eat more "

Zone stared at her unblinkingly as if she was his only world . " Then let me eat you "

Shiela immediately hit Zone and escaped to her room and locked it . A coquettish voice echoed throughout the room . " Hubby! You pervert!! "

Zone chuckled in amusement and drink a chocolate hot drink . His previous gentle eyes turned stoic and nonchalant while he sipped .

If Shiela have been more perceptive earlier , she would have noticed how strange Zone's eyes were . He stared at her eyes without cutting off eye contact , he didn't even blink as if he's reading her and at the same time watching her silly reaction everytime Zone flirts with her .

It was creepy and Shiela was oblivious . She didn't even noticed that she was dating a sociopath . Who was known for their deceitfulness , manipulative and lack of empathy .

If a psychiatrist learned of this , he or she would surely lit a candle for her .

The doorbells suddenly rang as a voice resonated . " Duan Li , open the door.  "

Zone stood up and slowly walked to the door . Opening it , Duan Jiayi's figure entered his sight .

" Oh brother? What makes you come here? "

Zone opened the door wider and let the man inside.  He closed it after Duan Jiayi entered and guided him to the living room . This apartment was bought by Zone as Shiela and his private place . Where they could freely flirt and act lovey dovey . Just like a normal couple who lived under the safe roof . Shiela was so happy when she learnt of this and even gave Zone a deep kiss .

" I came to visit to remind you the annual banquet at the Palace . The emperor would make an appearance during that day. So all beastmen have to attend , moreover you could also pick some suitable marriage partner there . You know , mom has been anxious to get a grandchildren already . "

Zone was about answer when a head popped out of a room . Shiela blinked her eyes . " H-hubby "

Zone moved his eyes to the aide and saw the grievances within her eyes . He chuckled coldly and smiled gently at her .

" Come here "

Shiela cursed inwardly , how dare that foreign man pursuade her boyfriend to pick someone at the banquet to marry? She's already here , why look somewhere else?

Smiling sweet yet with a hint of grievances , she pounced on Zone and buried her head on his chest .

Knowing the woman's thoughts , he patted her back gently while smiling helplessly . " Don't worry , I'm not planning on marrying someone else asides from you.  "

Shiela sniffed and looked up to him from his chest . " Really? "

Zone didn't answer but just stared at her with bent eyes.  Shiela foolishly smiled and buried her head again to his chest.

Watching the two lovey dogs flirting in front of him . The bachelor old man , Duan Jiayi felt his eyes stinging from pain . " Looks like mom and dad will be expecting a grandson or granddaughter soon.  "

" Yeah " Zone nonchalantly answered .

" Then I won't spend more time here , it seems like you still have plans on flirting with each from morning to night . "

Duan Jiayi stood up and chuckled in amusement.  Zone shook his head and spoke " Silly , go ahead I won't be guiding you out . "

Duan Jiayi nodded and exited .

" You know , i think ... Curing a sociopath is impossible . "

[ Nothing is impossible in this world , master ]

" But based on my knowledge about psychology . Psychopathy and Sociopathy can't be cured. "

[ You mean , the medical knowledge of that world's era? ]

" Don't tell me that in the future , humans had developed medicine to cure psychopaths or sociopaths.  "

[ I didn't tell that there's a medicine that can cure APD , but there are some techniques used by the psychiatrists from the other advanced world that could return a sociopath's empathy . However , their deceitfulness and nature to manipulate someone still remains.  ]

" That's fictional "

[ ... Well , it's fictional because in your time.  It has yet to develop in your world. ]

[ Try dating a sociopath , you'll surely enjoy it.]

" Are you insane? Dating those mental disturbed abnormal people could be quite dangerous you know ."

[ Just enjoy it though , as long as you learned how to cope up with sociopaths . ]

[ Moreover , wasn't Zone a sociopath? ]

" He's not completely a sociopath yet.  "

[ No , he already became one . You just didn't noticed . ]

That's the truth Jiro always wanted to deny . Because he knows , that sociopaths couldn't love .

And they only see their partner as their own possession , a thing , or an object to be manipulated . They only do things that quenches their interest and expectation .

Sociopaths would only want to be loved , and they never know how to love . They could only 'love' by immitating people and do it to their own partner .
