Treatment.

A while later.

After calming down Lena had guided jack into properly wrapping the cloth. Her left arm was a bit of a lost cause with what they had to work with, but if they do find a mana-hospital all should be good.

"Can't we really do anything about it?" The boy asked.

"We might, but I have no idea." Lena replied.

She had made a DIY arm sling, but more than that was nowhere in her expertise.

She is sitting up with her back leaning on a tree trunk. The boy had went back and brought the bag he had left behind.

"So.... what now...." The boy asked hesitant.

"We keep moving. after all, not like there's anything else to do." Lena said trying to carry herself only to fall to her knees.

"With your shape? We will end up dead in seconds!" The boy exclaimed.

"haaa... haa..... That might be true...." Lena said gasping for air.

"Can you give me a hand?" Lena asked The boy.

Jack looked at Lena unknowing of what expression he should hold. he feared her moments ago, but right now he couldn't help but pity her.

He Sighed to himself and knelt down to help her stand.

"How is this even going to work..." Jack said as he remembered their height difference.

"Haha... something's better than nothing." Lena said barely resting her right arm on the boy.

It was very inconvenient, as the huge gauntlet on Lena's right arm was extremely cumbersome, along with that Lena was bending her knees for it to even work.

"Can't you take off that thing? It's quite troublesome." The boy said with an annoyed expression.

"No... I can't... If I do the pain all throughout my body would feel like a paper cut in comparison." Lena said.

The boy sighed thinking it's not the time to question it.

"What about the bag?" The boy asked.

"You can hang it at the end of my right arm, Like cloth hangers." Lena said.

"Won't it hurt?" The boy said reaching the bag.

"The only part of me unaffected from that is my right arm, This thing is sturdy." Lena said staring at the gauntlet.

The did as Lena had told him, and slid the handle's over Lena's fist and left it hanging slight behind her wrist.

"Guh..." Lena let out a sudden cry.

"W-what?!" the boy raised the bag immediately.

"D-don't worry about it... the sudden weight just hurt a cut wound near my chest." Lena said with a forced smile.

"Anyway let's go... We don't want anyone seeing us here..." Lena said urging the boy to move.

Jack gave a silent nod and slowly moved trying to make it as easy for Lena as possible.

"Where to?" Jack asked.

"First to the path, then just follow it. We will enter the first village we can." Lena said as she limped.

"Ok!" the boy said bumping himself up.

The boy and Lena kept moving as Lena just barely rested her body weight on the boy.

"I'm surprised You can handle this. When we first met you looked so scrawny and weak, I thought you wouldn't even be able to lift a sword." Lena said looking at the boy's face.

"Yeah... I was never a fan of body building..." Jack said as he recalled a word in his mind.

'(Lv6 achieved.) huh...'

A very long while later.

The sun has set a long time ago, the world gulfed in darkness, Jack and Lena's perseverance continues. They had stopped multiple times, and have fell over multiple times. While jack kept blaming himself, Lena didn't complain once.

Finally after a long walk from hell both see a light in the distance. It's a fire! and behind it lays a village.

"Yes!" The boy shouts as he notices.

"W-we made it! Y-you will live!" the boy continues turning his face to Lena.

"N--- yeah... we made it..." Lena swallows her words and celebrates with the boy.

"Come on now just a little bit more and we will be there." The boy says with excitement.

Lena's face turns into a frown as they slowly get close to their 'goal'.

When they had gotten close enough Lena immediately stops and falls to the ground.

"L-Lena?! W-What happened?! We are almost there come on just a little bit more!" The boy shouts as she looked at Lena's body laying face first.

"I'm not dead..." Lena says rolling around to face the boy.

"Oh... um..." The boy says slightly embarrassed.

"Anyway, I just couldn't think of anyway else to stop you so yeah... I wanted to tell you to do something first before we enter." Lena says as she continues rolling to outside the path.

"W-what is it?" the boy said out loud while he thought to himself 'wouldn't this hurt like hell the way you are?'

"Basically, I want you to enter first, and search for a mana-hospital. If there isn't one try searching a mana-clinic, they are more popular in small villages like this. If you find known then try asking for any mana healer. Only when you have found one of those do you come back, ok? And make sure to remember way since we will have to move as fast as possible. Oh and Whatever happens, Never, and I repeat, Never, make meaningless conversation. You will end up regretting it." Lena says as she keeps suppressing the huge amount of pain from all the rolling.

"Wh--- O-ok... I will try..." the boy stopped himself from questioning Lena.

The boy then quickly dashed into the village's ground and tried his best in searching.

While the boy searched as best as he could Lena sat up raising her back and prepared herself.

'this is going to hurt like hell...' she said as she raised her left arm tried to place it on her right shoulder. Then she slowly slid her hand into the gauntlet making a very small air gap for her hand to enter.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" Lena screamed as soon as the gap appeared.

The pain was beyond anything, as if her body was being torn to shreds limb by limb, part by part, centimeter by centimeter. No, not her body, but her right arm. This gauntlet for whatever reason would considerably reduce the pain to a mere tingle when on, but the slightest gap appears and the feeling returns.

Lena continued to scream as she moved her left hand around trying to pull out the cloak she had hidden inside her gauntlet. With how big the gauntlet is compared to her arm, there is plenty of free space inside. Using that space she keeps a cloak that she rarely uses inside, it's probably gonna smell terribly, but she's got to do with what she's got.

Finally finding it she immediately pulls it out with her left hand.

"FFF----" Lena bites her lips as both her left and right arms hurt.

She then puts on the black, worn out, cloak and waits for the boy.

Jack has been running around banging at random doors asking for help. All of whom have pointed him towards the same person yet he can't find that person, after finally calming down and realizing he can ask for directions he finds that person and heads towards them.

A quick of questions leave his mouth as soon as he finds the person and with quick replies from the person jack immediately sprints back to Lena.

Finally reaching Lena, jack bends to his knees and gasps for air.

"T-there is one." Jack says out of breath.

"We sure got Lucky." Lena says.

"Y-yea--" Jack pauses as he notices at Lena's new look.

"What is that?" Jack asks.

"It's for protection." Lena says.

"... Sure whatever." Jack says kneeling to help Lena back up.

They continue to limp through the village as jack guides them to the mana-healer he had found.

"H-here!" Jack says as he forces his way through the door.

"Hey don't just force your way in like that!" A voice comes from inside a building, that of a woman.

From behind one of the doors a woman appears in pajamas as if she was just heading to sleep.

"*sigh* take him into that room there is a bed, just let them rest there, I will join you in a second." The woman says as she points at a door, then goes back to where she came from.

"O-ok." Jack says as he turns towards the room and guides Lena.

While Lena thought to herself '... him...'

After a bit the woman finally comes back with a cup of hot coffee in her hand.

"Let me see..." The woman says as she brings over a chair from the other side of the room and then sits next to Lena.

"Can I take this off?" the woman says holding a side from the cloak.

"Yeah..." Lena says.

The woman then slowly and carefully takes it off only to gasp.

"W-what happened to you! T-this is! You adventurers!" The woman says in an annoyed voice.

"And this cloth! wait, is tha--- I'm being too paranoid." The woman says as she first looks a the cloth wrapped around Lena.

"Anyway, this is terrible couldn't you clean them up first?!" The woman almost shouts.

"..." Lena and jack say nothing.

The woman pinches Lena's cheek and then asks jack to leave.

Once jack is out, she starts taking off the terribly done bandage work.

"*sigh* If you are going to risk your life out there, at least learn some first-aid first..." The woman says as she takes care of the bloodied mess of a body Lena is.

"Can I take this gauntlet off?" The woman says.

"N-no! anything but that! my situation will only get worse then!" Lena says.

"... sure... But I won't be able to treat anything under it..."

"Yeah Of course No problem!" Lena tries her hardest.

The woman sighs.

"How many holes can you even have in a body? This must be some kind of world record you know." The woman continues to complain as she treats Lena.

"S-sorry..." Lena couldn't help but apologize.

"A sorry isn't going to fix my sleep!" The woman complains again.

"..." Lena's expression turned apologetic.

once all the 'bandages' were off the woman places both hands over Lena's torso and closes her eyes focusing. Followed by that Lena could feel, The world. As if her body and the world around it have become one, a true feeling of nirvana. It lasted for what felt like a moment and then jumped right back to the hell that is her current state. Healing magic.

"Sorry, but right now the local doctor isn't home so all I can do is limited to general healing. Your more fatal wounds would be troublesome, but using general healing I can return your arm to how it was since it's not cut off, and I can speed up your bodies recovery rate to the lesser wounds." The woman says.

"Sure." Lena says to the woman.

"Alright." The woman says continuing the treatment.

While It was hard for the woman to keep focusing on her mana so not to mess up her patient, Lena was enjoying the sensation that came with Healing magic.

An hour later.

Jack is moving around in circles as he impatiently waits for any type of news from the people inside.

Finally the door opens and out comes the woman. Jack runs to her and asks.

"Is she okay? will she make it? she isn't dead is she?!" Jack sends a string of questions at the woman.

"sheesh, calm down. She? Really that was a woman? anyway, She is just ok, She won't die but her body is a bit of a mess. I did what I could the rest would have to wait for the doctor to return." The woman says as she goes towards what seemed like a kitchen.

Jack hearing what she had said entered the room.

"You are alive..." He said.

"Hey, I heard how excited you were a moment ago." Lena says disappointed at his reaction to her.

"W-well yeah! you somehow made it through that! It's just that..." Jack says lowering his head.

"You... You didn't make any meaningless conversation while searching, did you." Lena said with a serious tone.

"No! All I did was ask for a doctor, healer, whatever!" The boy claimed.

"... Then don't worry about it." Lena said.

The boy sits down on the chair next to Lena.

"C-can I ask one question?" The boy asks.

"... Sure." Lena says.

"Why... why did you put on that cloak?" The boy asks as he looks Lena straight in the face.

Lena stares back at the kid with her left eye.

"People are after me." Lena says.

"Who are these people? a-and how many...?" The boy asks.

"They are... The world." Lena says turning her head.

"The world...? What? What are you trying to say?" the boy asks.

"The whole world is after me. Every person that knows of me wants my head, that simple." Lena says.

"W-what? T-the whole world? Everyone? d-does that count that woman too?" The boy turns around facing the door hesitantly.

"As I said, anyone who knows of me. I doubt she does though, we are quite far from where it started, and she is just a mana-healer." Lena says.

"T-then does people, back there, them too? were they?" the boy asks.

"Yes. That's why I had no choice, If I had let any of them go, more people would have come. After all they can just sell the information and it would make them quite a decent amount." Lena says.

"B-but... why? Why are they after you?" The boy says.

"Money. A bounty is on my head. A bounty so large you would never need to work again. Hell you would probably achieve noble status if you argued for it with my head." Lena says.

"W-why...? Why did that bounty get placed?" The boy asks.

With the question Lena's vision turned red.

An image back to that scene. To the scene of the blood fountain.

"I killed someone, A king." Lena said.

The boy's face turned into something beyond shock, he was mere moments away from passing out.

"YOU DID WHAT?!" The boy shouted as loud as he could.

"Shut up dumbass!" Lena shushed him.

"R-right... w-why did you do that?" The boy asked once again.

"Hey, I though this was going to be just one question." Lena says turning her head away.

"Can you shut up? you can't tell me that and stop! I need to know why! why you did that!" The boy says.

"Sure I will shut up." Lena says and shuts up.

"Y-you..."
