A VISIT TO ANTENNE TOWN
"If I didn't remember wrong, are you the young apprentice conjurer who came to my shop not too long ago", the woman said to me.
I recognized the woman immediately.
"You are Amelia from the White Horse Oddities and Treasures", I said to her.
"It's flattering that you remember me. Did you make good use of the ring that you bought from us, it was good value if you ask me", she asked me.
"Yes, it is useful although a little on the expensive side, do you remember all your customers", I replied to her.
"Not everyone. Just the notable ones like you. Come with us to Antenne Town, I'll have more valuable artifacts on offer there in the Norten House of Magecraft and Antiquities and we can repay you for helping us in the journey", she said to me.
"My friends are going to Gaesov Town to check out the school there, sorry we'll pass", I replied to her.
"School? If you are looking for a boarding magic school, Antenne Town has much better schools than Gaesov which is a small town really", she said to me to convince me.
"I don't mind checking the school in Antenne Town, I haven't decided yet on the school to go to anyway", Minna said to me.
"You see, even the little lady knows the school in Antenne Town offers better options. Come with us", Amelia asked me again.
But I wasn't comfortable going on the journey with Amelia. In my mind, Amelia was a shrewd businesswoman and there was a chance that she found out about my Angel Affinity when we last met in her shop.
Then the elderly man who came with Amelia spoke to me.
"Young man what if we offered you something much better than that Heart lantern of yours, you would never find something better in Gaesov Town", Hugo asked me.
That was something I could consider.
"How much better?" I asked the old man.
"Join our trip and I will tell you all about its features", the old man told me delightedly.
I had a feeling the old man was less enthusiastic about us accompanying their caravan as security escorts than having people to listen to his explaining the features of his artifacts. He gave me a good impression though, although her boss, Amelia, was a shrewd woman.
My purpose for going to Gaesov town was to shop and Antenne town was a much bigger town, almost as big as a city. There would be more stuff to buy in Antenne town and besides, I've seen all that was on offer in Gaesov.
My other friends had never been outside Slowan town or village and it doesn't matter to them where we went as long as it was an adventure. Only Minna had a reason to go to Gaesov town which was to check out the school there and she could do that in Antenne Town.
So, we agreed to escort the merchant caravans.
-----
The changed destination took a much longer journey than we expected, and it wasn't uneventful because the route to Antenne from Gaesov wasn't peaceful which was the reason Amelia engaged us to escort their caravans.
We met with several dangerous creatures like the Crimson Lion along the way, but they were easily dealt with by our divine weapon, Ronnie's hand phaser.
Killing the magical creatures was also beneficial to me and my friends too because we could absorb the dead creature's magic together.
After we reached Antenne Town, their magic achieved breakthrough again.

The town of Antenne, nestled within rolling hills and surrounded by a protective wall, the tapestry of everyday life weaved a captivating story of its own.
As dawn arrives, townsmen and villagers emerged from their cozy cottages, ready to embark on another day. Children chased each other through narrow cobblestone streets, their laughter echoing off the stone walls.
This place was just like Slowan village or town except the scale of the town was much bigger. This was after all a large town in Nymera kingdom and an important one for commerce in the country.
In the heart of the town, the market square comes alive.
Colorful stalls burst with vibrant fruits, vegetables, and fragrant herbs brought in by farmers from the surrounding countryside. Local craftsmen proudly display their wares—shimmering jewelry, finely crafted leather goods, and intricately woven tapestries that tell tales of distant lands.
At the town's center stood the imposing Town Hall, where the councilors convened to discuss matters of governance and justice. The ornate wooden doors open to a grand hall adorned with tapestries depicting the town's rich history. Here, decisions were made, disputes settled, and the voice of the townsfolk heard.
Beyond the market square, the town revealed its charms.
The sound of horseshoes clattering against cobblestones leads to the blacksmith's forge, where sparks dance in the air as sturdy tools and weaponry took shape. Nearby, the gentle hum of spinning wheels and the rhythmic clacking of looms can be heard in the weaver's workshop, where artisans created fabrics of remarkable quality.
Commerce was at the heart of Antenne Town.

"I've never seen so many things in a market before", Minna told us.
"Too bad we can't afford them", Bommurs replied to her.
"We will buy this town one day", I promised my friends arrogantly and also jokingly.
"Here we are at the heart of Antenne town", Amelia told us, and she invited us to her shop, The Noten House of Magecraft and Antiquities.
"I'll check you in at the lodge first, take a rest and I'll show you my wares later and tell you all about their features", Hugo told us before bringing us to a local lodge.
Hugo brought us to a large lodge and paid in advance for our stay. The lodge was comfortable and spacious, and they even had parking space for our oversized shuttle carriage. This was after all a merchant's lodge and many caravans and wagons of large sizes were parked here.
After we checked in at the lodge and rested for the night, we visited Amelia to claim our salary.
