16. You're Fired...

It was already 5:00 when Kelvin Wells got to the school.. When Principal Sanders called him at first., he refused to come stating that he had a cold so he wouldn't make it...

But then Jason had personally phoned him., and asked him to come over as soon as possible... For some unknown reasons, it was like Kelvin feared Jason terribly... As soon as Jason told him to come., he didn't even give any excuse... He just complied..

"so Mr Wells... I have a simple question for you.. And I hope you give me a truthful answer.. I want the truth and nothing else.. Alright??.. Sanders asked the boy who was finding it very difficult to look at Vanessa...

" Are we clear Mr wells... She asked the boy again firmly...

" Y.. Y.. Yes".. Was the only thing he could utter.

"fine.. Now did you or did you not see Mr Parker here trying to force himself on Miss Jordan... Her question was direct.. She had no time to beat around the bush.. She had already spent too much of her time here..

She didn't just want to blow things out of proportion., if not she would have told them to take it to the police..

Vanessa looked at the boy in hope and faith.. She hoped he would look at her face and see the desperation on it.. She sincerely needed his statement now..

But it seemed that the only person the boy could see in the room was Jason.. He couldn't even look the Jason in the eye properly.. He just glanced at him occasionally., and Jason looked at him with a smile on his face.. A wicked smirk that clearly said., "do not try to play the hero, or else you will pay for it"... And Kelvin could read that message clearly.

"Mr Wells we are waiting.. Tell us what you saw... Sanders who was really getting impatient said..

He opened his mouth to speak., but the words he spoke shocked Vanessa greatly..

" N.. Nothing.. His trembling lips let out the word.. I didn't see anything.. I left the school as soon as I heard the closing bell., and I never came back... He was trembling., and his words were shaking and everyone could here his shaky voice..

But to be fair., he did say he was sick.. So that could be the cause of his trembling lips and shaky words...

"Wells.., No Kelvin..,please tell them what you saw... Vanessa's words were so sincere and she looked at the boy hoping he would at least look her in the eye and see that she really needed him to tell the truth... But the boy could barely raise his head up., and when he did.. It was to look at the face of Jason who was passing a lot of messages to Kelvin through his gaze alone...

"I'm sorry Miss Jordan., but I never came back to school after I left the first time...

Vanessa could literally hear her whole world crashing down.. All hope was lost.. He was her last hope..but now she has nothing more.. Nothing to prove her innocence with..

"Mr Wells., are you sure of what you are saying...Sanders asks the boy firmly.., but Kelvin just shakes his head in reply... Don't just shake your head., I need a definite and clear answer.. Are you sure of what you are saying... She yelled..

" yes.. Yes ma'am...

" The boy is sure Sanders.., Mrs Parker said.., I mean it is obvious who the culprit is here.., this shameless whore saw my handsome son who has everything a young man should.., and could not control her beasty desires so she tried to Rape my son.. And now she's blaming him.. Why would my son try to rape you huh..,

I raised my child to be a good boy.. He is the captain of the basketball team.., he has the good looks.., and his bank balance is way more than your twelve months salary combined.., Truth be told., he can get any girl he wants.. So why in the world would he want to have anything to do with someone like you... I promise you., you are going to rot in jail...

Rot in jail., Vanessa had not really thought about that so much., she could not rot in jail.. Especially for a crime she did not commit...

"Please Mrs Parker.., calm down.. Now Vanessa the only proof you claim to have says he was never at the scene... So this leaves only one option., and that is, Jason is right..

Vanessa was dumbfounded.., she was going to say something but all that came out were sobs.. She could not understand how and why the victim had turned to the culprit., and the real culprit is just sitting there like a champion...

"I was hoping it wouldn't have to be like this., but I have no other options than to call the cops... Sanders said.. For some reasons, she actually sounds sincere..

" oh No Principal Sanders... Jason suddenly said... Even though she tried to do something like that to me., I don't want her to go to jail...

" Jason what are you talking about??... His mother was totally against his idea..

"please mom., we talked about this... I don't want to see her behind bars... Apart from her terrible acts., she was a nice person.. So anything else but jail...

Vanessa looked at the great actor with disbelief... Kevin's fear and respect for the boy grew even bigger... MY God he was so good...Famous actors would bow in front of this kid... What in the world was he planning now... Why didn't he want to send her to jail.. What is he up to??..

"well if you don't want to see her behind bars., what do you suggest we do... Sanders asked obviously tired of the whole situation..

" Can you see how good my son is??... Even if you are wrong., he does not want to make you suffer... But I'm not so nice... She looks at Sanders... I suggest you fire her., so I could be sure she won't be anywhere near my son.. Ever again..

And then I'll make sure you never get to work in any other place again... You wouldn't even get a job as a janitor!!! The woman bellowed angrily...

Vanessa was just there like a useless crying statue.., she could not speak., all she could do was cry uncontrollably...

"oh please stop your whimpering., shameless b*tch...

" well miss Jordan., you heard the kid.... And I'm sorry to say this but... From this day., you are no longer an employee at Sherlock High.. You are not to be seen anywhere around the school premises., if you are found loitering around school premises.... You would have to pay for the consequences of your actions...

Miss Jordan... There was a pause before Sanders said the final words.. Like she really wished she didn't have to do this., but she had no other choice...

And with those words., Vanessa became a criminal., and an unemployed once again...
