chapter forty six

Unknown person's POV

"Fathona, its like a wonderful achievement to be one of Khair's friend right?" I said to Fathona and she shone her teeth at me.

"Yeah right. I'm so happy." She giddily replied and I mentally rolled my eyes at her.

Such a stupid dumb girl!

"But did you know what?" I said,a smirk almost escaping my face. She raised both eyebrows at me telling me to continue and I did.  "She has many fans as you see her like that but...but she easily dump them like useless rag. Do you wanna know why?" I asked her and she suddenly looked sad.

"Why?" She asked

"She felt they don't give her attention very well that's why I'm here to advice you that you should stick to her,like really stick  her,follow her everywhere she wants to go. That way, she will feel loved." I told her and her face brightened causing mine to brighten also.

Suddenly, her bright mood became dull. Uggg

"Wouldn't that be weird? Following her everywhere like a tail?" She asked unsure about what she's about to do.

"I can't do that. That will look like invading her privacy." She added looking down and I felt like grabbing her head and banging it on the wall. I have to do something to make her follow our plan.

"Wait,but what if I pay you to do it?" I asked with a soft smile.

"Huh?!"

"I mean like,if I give you $3000 you can buy many expensive things. See the dress I'm wearing,it cost 700bucks and the shoe,don't you like how fancy it is? You won't believe its also 700 bucks,let's not even talk about the jewelries. Don't you see how people regards me? Cos I'm a classy girl and to make Khair like you more you have to be classy." I finished with a proud smile when I saw Fathona thinking about what I just said.

"And beside,I will give you more money if you work for me." I added waiting for her to say something.

I once heard Fathona's friend scolding Fathona about her she's obsessed with money and the smart me took the opportunity to bribe her.

"Well,if you're not gonna accept my request,then I can easily tell Khair to stop been friends with you. I'm the one that convinced Khair to accept you as her friend and I can easily blackmail you and she will stop befriending you. How bad will that be?" I warned with seriousness and she sighed.

"Yeah I will do it as long as you keep giving me the papers." She finalized.

"Paper?" I asked confused.

"I mean money dummy." She laughed.

"Who's the dummy here?" I rolled my eyes at her and she looked at me confused. I realized what i said and quickly covered it with laughs.

"We're both dummies." I said in between fake laugh while the actual dummy laughed along with me.

But she's demanding much money, how can I be giving her plenty money always to keep our plan ongoing?

Smith of course. My subconscious reminded.

Yes Smith! He also is very rich and we are in this together so he will pay half and I will pay half. After that Fath...

"Khair is coming." Fathona announced breaking me out of my train of thought.

I can't let Khair see me with Fathona. She will become suspicious.

"Fathona,shy don't you go to Khair and convince her about coming to the birthday party you mentioned earlier with you. You know she hasn't accepted right? Take this and buy something classy to impress Khair." I smiled sweetly at her and hand her huge sum of money.

She gasped and collected it.

"Thank you. Thank you thaannnk you." She said hugging me.

Khair was now getting closer to the library. Seeing that,I pushed Fathona away from my body but she didn't seem to mind the push.

"Go go go and remember, never mention our meeting to anyone if not,just imagine what I can be capable of doing." I warned and pushed her out the door.

"You got it girl." She happily said and rushed out the library to hug Khair.

"Khair,you haven't tell me whether you're later coming to the party with me?" Fathona told Khair as loud as possible for me to hear. She turned Khair away from the library and turned to give me a thumbs up.

This girl can make things look suspicious. 

I shooed her with my hands and she giggled turning her attention to Khair now. I wonder how a pretty girl could be this dumb.

Looking at them going to where I don't care to know, I made sure a good distance is maintained between us before I went out of the library to our next class.

Fortunately for me,Khair has kept a seat beside her for me. I sighed in frustration but went and seat close to her anyway.

"I'm going to the party with Fathona tonight." She announced.

"Are you sure about that? I mean,you want to go somewhere alone with her?" I asked trying to act nice.

"Yeah. It just a birthday party and I will only spend an hour there." She said and I shrugged.

I couldn't wait to reach home to tell Smith about everything.

Fathona have been doing a great job lately. Following Khair around, being on her neck and seeing Khair frustrated with the girl was worth the money.

"Why are you late?" I questioned Fathona as soon as she entered the meeting place and that's the library.

"Sorry. I have to accompany Khair to hair saloon." Fathona replied.

"Well, that's great. Did she tell you about any important place she wants to go?" I asked

"Not really."

"Well,you gotta keep trying. Take this." I said and handed her what she loves the most and her eyes immediately lit up.

"Thank you." She beamed

"Don't forget to inform me immediately she told you she's going to a place. Alright?"

"Alright!"

"Bye then." I waved at her and put my hoodie cap back on covering my face. I put both my hands in my Jean's pocket bouncing to my car to go to Smith's. I kept smiling to myself throughout the ride.

"Hey young Mr Gaulten." I said playfully to Smith and he gave me a proud smile.

"Hey there. For you to come here, there must certainly be a good news." He said and I shrugged.

"The news is just as usual. Fathona has got along with Khair really well now. We will just wait for the best moment to strike." I answered him already planning the scenario in my head.

"You're right. But whatever is going on,you have to tell me about it." He said and I nodded.

"Need a drink?"

"Hell no! I remembered what happened last time so no thank you." I said and he laughed.

We talked about random stuffs before I received a call from Khair. I rolled my eyes before picking it.

"Hey. What do you need?" I said without thinking twice. I face palmed myself for sounding rude.

"Did I offend you?" She asked in a sad tone.

Yeah,she's always trying to act innocent

"No sorry. I was just angry that's why I sound that way." I formed a quick lie and she believed it.

"Sooo?" I stressed waiting for her to tell me the reason why she called.

"I want you to come home now. I have something to tell you" She said happily.

"Yay. I'm coming now." I said with lack of enthusiasm before hanging up.

"Well,gotta go." I said to Smith and got up. We shook hands again and I walked out to my car. 

I kept wondering what the hell Khair wants to tell me as I drove to her house. Hope it will be something worth my time.
