(Mia's POV)

After Eve's wild moment, everything continued as normal. The following week consisted of meeting my new classmates and future colleagues I was nervous I was usually pretty good about meeting new people, but these weren't just possible friends but also my rivals too in a way. We started with something easy which was just introduction, I got to know some pretty nice people, and the very stick up their butt people. I ran into the woman that works at the bar, she told me that was just for now but as soon as she was done here she was going to be opening her own business. I was polite and applaud her for having that far of a dream, but I was just wanting to finish school before making big plans.

After class I went to look for a job, I was nervous because I knew the minute Mitch finds out where I was, he'd be here making my life a living hell. I tried to malls where there were cameras where if he tried anything I was safe, but they weren't hiring, I tried some of the fancier restaurants but they wouldn't work with my class scheule, finally I found work at a cafe, the woman was willing to work with me and I would work whenever she needed me. I started tomorrow and I was excited as I walked out of the place.

The next morning I got up went to class where we started to cut hair, and how each cut could affect the style, that's when Jen told me about the welcome party, one of the others was having, I asked her for when and said it was on Saturday. Well, I told her to give me the address, but flipped it on me and asked why I didn't just give her mine and we could go together, I was reluctant but I gave it to her in the end, but I did tell her I wasn't one hundred percent sure.

"That's fine just give me a heads up, here." she took my phone and put her number in it, " now you can text me."

"Thanks."

After class I went to work and I started training to make coffee. It was a little harder then it looked and you had to deal with crappy people sometimes. Thankfully Mitch hadn't found me, yet.

My week went by, with class then work it was a routine I was glad to have. My boss didn't have me work the weekend mostly because I was still so new, but I was glad, so I text Jen and told her she could come get me on Saturday.

Saturday, Eve, helped me pick out and outfit, I was a 5'5, curvy, wavy haired, Latina chick, and I loved it, even if I complained about myself a few times. Most clothes fit me in the right places but, some didn't they just made me look fat, or pregnant. Eve was a fashion genius, and she knew me so well too.

In the end I went with skinny jeans, and a crop top, if my mother ever saw me in this she'd flip her lid. It was loose but not enough to drown me, I even took a jacket, and some flats I hated heels.

Once I was done with my makeup which wasn't very much, I checked where Jen was.

"You sure she will bring you back home?"

"Yes, Mom, jeez, I'm nervous enough without you being on my back."

"Look I'm happy you're finding friends and stuff but just remember, be on high alert."

"Okay, thanks for worrying I guess."

"You've been through a lot and I just don't want you to get into more trouble."

I grinned, coming from my first bully in my life, but she had become like my sister, so I nodded and gave her a hug. Soon Jen text me to let me know she was down stairs. I grabbed my pepper spray, put it in my pocket, and headed down.

In her Jeep, Jen told me she was meeting her boyfriend there and if I minded. I felt my insides twist, but I didn't want to look clingy so I just nodded. The party was at one of the biggest house in the city or at least the biggest I've been invited to. It was your typical rich family house, we walked in were greeted by the others, and then Jen suddenly disappeared on me. I tried not to panic, so I went over to the drink area, and grabbed a few snacks and a drink. Then I looked around the house.

(Levi's POV)

"Come on, man, there's a party!"

"So what, I'm not interested in going."

"Levi, Ronan knows and he's cool with it, we're not the only ones going either."

"Come on, who else are you getting into trouble?!"

"Man, there's other packs you know that right?"

I rolled my eyes, yes there were two other packs in the city, but I wasn't interested in running into them, especially Rosa. The she wolf that wants to show how fast she can take down a male, freakin she whore more like.

"Man, come on we worked hard now let's go play hard."

"Go, Levi, I have a weird but good feeling about tonight." my wolf chimed in my head.

I rolled my eyes, but saw that Andy wasn't letting up, so I groaned and got up and went to shower and change. We arrived to the party, and it was packed with humans, and like Andy said with wolves. Then to my misfortune Rosa was here too, with some other she wolves, but I stayed away. I was just getting a drink when my wolf, more or less knocked the air out of me.

"What the hell?"I whispered but then a scent a sweet, flowery scent reached me. My wolf was hell of excited, and he wanted to go find who that scent belonged to.

"She's here."

"Who?" I asked him, but he didn't elaborate. He suddenly took control of my body and he rushed to find the one the scent belonged to. The person was moving from place to place, so I couldn't pin point where they were, but then I was interrupted when the last person I wanted to see stood in front of me.

"Rosa."

"Levi, it's a real surprise to find you out and about."

"Yeah, I bet now if you'll excuse me..."

"Oh, come on don't be rude, dance with me."

She didn't wait for an answer she had a death grip on my arm as she pulled me to the area they had as a dance floor. Right as we got on it a slow song came up and she stuck to me like glue, while putting my arms around her.

"So Levi, we haven't had a chance to talk..."

"About?"

"Us silly, I mean I know your father is a little scary but I was wondering..."

"Don't think too hard because my answer is no, now get over it."

"Levi, you can't just throw me away like, like..."

"Rosa, we will never be a thing, and don't make it sound like we did something, you jumping on me, while I was drunk doesn't count."

"We made love that night you just don't...."

"Rosa, hate to break it to yeah, but I've never been interested in you, and you taking advantage of me, while I was blacked out drunk doesn't count, as making love...you don't even know the meaning of that word."

I pulled my arms away as she glared at me.

"Why do you fight it, Levi, you want me...you know you do."

She pulled me really close and gently ran her nose along my neck, while kissing it lightly.

I finally pulled her away, and looked down at her. Then walked away, leaving her in the middle of the dance floor. Walking toward the stairs, I soon caught the scent again, they were up stairs, so I followed it up and into a room. But then I lost it because there was a group of people there, maybe seven of them, two being Andy and his mate, I walked in carefully and found they were playing spin the bottle or drink, or whatever you called it. I sat down next to Andy who grinned at me.

"What are you doing in here?" he asked surprised.

"Nothing, I was just looking for you."

"Hey, new guy you in or out?" asked one of the other guys.

"He's in!" said Andy before I could say anything.

"Okay, then spin." the other guy told me, I glared at Andy, he just smiled.

"Spin for what?"

"To see who you get to go in the closet with, or you take a shot."

"What are you fifteen or something, that's such a kids game."

"Then leave." the guy told me, but I suddenly found that I couldn't move.

"Levi what's wrong?" asked Andy as he felt me go rigid.

"Shit, fine, give me the damn bottle!"

The guy rolled over the bottle, and looking around, of the seven here two were Andy and his mate, and three other girls, and the rest were guys, taking a deep breath and praying to the God that it didn't land on a guy. Carefully I put the bottle down, and spun, it felt like an eternity for it to stop, but it did.

"That's pointing at you Mia, go get into the closet." said Andy's mate to the girl it had landed on, the mention of her name hit me like a wave, as I took her face into my mind, and realized she was the one giving off the scent.

"That's her, our mate, Levi." my wolf was breathing heavy, and my heart wanted to jump out of my chest. I had seen her before she was the girl I had ran into at the bar, but I was in such a pissy mood, I hadn't cared to look again, but here she was.

"Hello, you two get moving!" said the guy from before.

Mia looked just as nervous as I felt, but I slowly got to my feet, and so did she. Both heading for the closet.

"Remember five minutes."

"What that's too long?" she protested, but it was cut short as someone pushed us into the closet and we heard the click, of the lock. We were locked in.

"You guys this isn't funny!" She banged on the door, but they just laughed.

"What do they actually think we're going to be doing in here for five minutes?" I asked trying to sound cool and collected, but for once in my life I was nervous, my voice was shaky.

She turned to look at me, and shrugged but sighed and came to sit on the floor.

"I guess have a make-out session in here for that long."

My body got really hot, and my wolf was definitely okay with that idea, he wanted to taste our mate, in every way possible, but he would be fine starting with this.

"You think they let us out if we didn't?" I asked now trying to control the urge to steal a kiss from her.

"I guess we' ll see in five minutes."

All too soon though, that plan went south, as the door of the door burst open, and someone said there were cops down stairs, people scurried out, but nobody moved toward the door.

"Jen, Jen what's going on?"

"Hang tight, girl, I'll be back."

"No, wait, Jen!" she called but the door of the room slammed shut.

"I guess we sit here and wait." I said still trying to play it cool, but my wolf was seriously fighting to gain control.

She came back to sit next to me, we just sat there for a minute, but my wolf was fighting my control.

"You okay?" she asked genuinely sounding worried.

"Yeah, I just have low blood sugar..."

"You're not diabetic are you?"

"No, I'm fine, what about you?"

"I'm fine, this is just a little awkward."

"Why?"

She turned to look at me, and smiled shyly.

"We're suppose to be making out in here or something, moment was kinda ruined."

"Was it though?" I asked teasingly but with a bit of a dare, " what do you have to lose, one kiss between strangers."

"Hmmm, well, that's true."

"Yeah come on, be brave." I was lightly pressuring but in the end it was her choice.

She looked at me, and after a minute she came closer to me. sat close and nodded, I was so excited but I held back so I didn't scare her, I leaned in toward her, putting my hand behind her head, I could hear her heart beat, and it was racing just as fast as mine. She leaned in toward me until our lips met. In that second the whole world didn't exist, it was just us two, I deepened the kiss, and she didn't fight me. I wanted to rip the clothes off of her, to claim her as mine, but I couldn't not right now.

I couldn't get enough, I had found her, my mate.....but then, I suddenly stopped. We were both breathless, and she scooted away.

"Wow, that was...." my wolf loved hearing she enjoyed our kiss but then the next words came from my mouth.

"Too easy, you must really be desperate."

She looked at me stunned, and my wolf screaming inside my head.

Before she could say anything, the door opened. Mia looked up and found Jen, in the doorway.

"Sorry, it took so long...."

"Forget it, take me home."

Jen looked over at me, as did Andy, who looked pissed.

"Okay, sure." Jen followed Mia out and Andy came to grabbed me.

"What the hell happened?"

"Nothing, I just want to leave is that okay with you?"

With that I got on my feet, and forcing myself to walk away, away from my mate.
