(Levi's POV)

I laid there just enjoying feeling her body so close to mine, her scent surrounded me, and I couldn't get enough of it. Holding her to me, as my fear threatened to over take me again. That bastard had almost hurt her in a way I wouldn't of been able to save her, I buried my face in her hair, just to remind me that, he would never try it again. Sleep slowly over took me and I welcomed it, finally finding some peace. Later I woke up as she turned, but I didn't want to let her go, so carefully I pulled her into me, hugging her snugly from behind. Then I fell asleep again.

All too soon though the sound of the door flying open, woke me up.

"Levi...oh, shit, sorry I didn't know you had company."

"What is it?" I asked barely opening my eyes.

"Um...Ronan called me, and said your father is on his way here, you missed the meeting last night."

I froze for a second and remembered the call just before I went to save Mia.

"Shit, how much time?"

"Not long so...." he pointed at Mia, and backed out of the room.

"What's going on?" asked Mia groggily.

"Nothing but you have to go, before my father gets here."

"Why, can't you have...people over?" she asked but I could tell she had wanted to say women.

"No, like I said before, he's...old fashion, and he doesn't want women here."

"Okay, I guess." she carefully got up and went to the bathroom. I missed her warmth already, but I needed to get moving too. I went down stairs and put my work clothes on. Then headed into the shop. The shop was between our two small houses, my father had made it that way. The shop had so much room, we could work on cars two to three at a time, as soon as I opened the door there was my father, in all his dark glory.

"Father." I said stepping aside, to let him in, he walked in as if he were searching for something, moving his head side to side like a hawk looking for his pray.

"What happened last night, Levi?" he asked not looking at me.

"Sir?" I tried to play dumb but that was worse, he turned glaring at me.

"I expected you to be there, you know good and well, you are the next in line to become Alpha and you need to be aware of what's going on, so why weren't you there?"

I sat there like a little kid, not wanting to lie but knew if I told the truth it was worse.

"I had a....job, a top priority job."

He just looked at me that was the lamest excuse I have ever given him.

"Who's truck is that in the front?" he asked.

"The truck, that's the job...."

"There's nothing on it, Levi, and you're trying my patience who's truck is that?!"

He was right in my face, but before I could answer, Mia walked in. Shit.

"Oh, sorry didn't mean to interrupt, I thought I had my keys but I guess not."

My father looked at me, mostly to see what I would do. I took a deep breath and prayed Mia would forgive me later.

" Yes, ma'am I took a look at your truck for the design it's going to be extra, if you want it the size you do."

Mia didn't waste time, she caught on real quick.

"Good thing I dropped it by then, I know it was a little rushed but I guess, thank you though."

"Where did you want the design?" my father asked.

"I wanted to put some flames that ran along the front, then across the doors, but according to Mr. Barrett here, it's going to cost me a pretty penny, and I just don't have that much, he gave me an estimate at least right, in case I change my mine."

"Right, my son so helpful."

"Anyway, thank you again, Barrett, and nice to meet you, Mr. Barrett."

I was so surprised she shook my hand but didn't offer it to my father, he wouldn't of taken it anyway. With that I handed her the keys to her truck, and she headed out.

Once the door closed, he turned back to me.

"Levi what have I told you about women?"

"They're nothing but a waste of time."

"Exactly, a woman only wants one thing in life and the is money and power, but to make that complete she has to take it from a man, it's her way of proving she can take whatever she wants, by just sleeping with the right man, understand."

"Yes, sir."

"They're for fun, nothing more."

"Yes, sir." I said, as he walked away, but then stopped at the door.

"You'll thank me one day, when you become Alpha, and not having to deal with the emotional baggage that a woman brings, you'll thank me."

I nodded and with that he walked out of the shop and as soon as he drove off, I released the breath I had been holding. I grabbed my phone, and saw I had a text.

"Hey, sorry, if I made things worse, but thank you again for last night."

"What happened last night?" I heard Andy say right behind me, I jumped.

"Nothing."

"How did it go from hanging out to her sleeping in your room?"

"Andy, the less you know is better."

"No, man tell me what's going on, or lease what if I need to know."

"Fine, okay but you can't tell anyone not even your girlfriend."

"Fine, what's going on. why did you miss the meeting last night?"

I sat him down, and told him about Mia, and her ex, and how she called me just after my father told me about the meeting, and how when I heard her scream, nothing else mattered to me but to go save her.

"Man, you did the right thing, what did you do with the body?"

"Nothing, I just made sure I didn't leave anything for them to trace it back to me."

"That's smart, so then you brought her back here."

"Yeah."

"Bro, you really got the bug, it's so obvious you care for her, these past three weeks, you've been a whole changed man."

"I can't." I said before I could stop myself.

"What do you mean you can't, man, you found her, she's your mate."

"I can't drag her into this, Andy, if she dies or something happens to her, it would kill me."

"Dude, then what better then to bring her into the circle, we can protect her."

"No, if my father really finds out who she is, he'll kill her in front of me."

"Man, you can't give up, not like this."

I shook my head, as I felt my heart ripping into pieces, but I needed to keep her safe and that meant keep her away from me.

(Mia's POV)

I got back to my apartment, and found Eve waiting at the door.

"Hey what's going on?" I asked and quickly got to her feet and came to hug me tightly.

"Thank God, you're okay!"

"Of course I was okay, why wouldn't I be?"

"You never came, home, and when I called Levi, all he said was you were fine, and hung up."

"Oh, how did you get his number?"

"I snooped into your phone."

"Eve?!"

"Hey, after the last asshole , you really think, I would chance it again, but you know I think you should stay away from him."

"What, why?"

"Because you're getting attached too quickly, don't let this turn into an other Mitch."

"Okay, I guess you're right."

"You know I am, now tell me how your date went?"

"It wasn't a date!"

"Girl, don't play with me, I know a date when I see one, so dish."

After I told Eve about Mitch and how Levi saved me, she walked me to my truck, then would call me at work or school and if I didn't respond she would come see why. But to me that wasn't the weird part, the weird part was that Levi hadn't text me or called from when I got home until now. and it was getting to be almost two weeks. It hurt me to realize that Eve had been right, I had gotten attached quickly, and now I might've scared Levi away.

But I forced myself to have some dignity and not call or text him...or was that pride. Either way I wasn't going to beg him, so I went about my life, Mitch no where to be seen.

Then one day, Eve, Robert, and I went to the same bar/restaurant from before. We were just hanging out when suddenly Eve went white, but then turned to me.

"What's going on?"

"Nothing, I'm just being weird."

She tried to play if off, but I turned, she tried to stop me but I saw them.

"MJ, don't!" Eve said trying to stop me but I got to my feet and walked over to the pair.

"Nice to see you found what you were looking for." I said the two broke apart. Levi looked stunned, and I glared at the woman.

"You know he's a man of class." said the bitch.

"One thing you don't have, but I guess when you're desperate right."

"Mia, I can..." Levi tried to hold my hand.

"Don't touch me, you just proved me right, but I hope you two are happy, honestly."

"You're just jealous I took both your men."

"Which weren't worth much if they quickly fell into your clutches, but whatever have a nice life."

"Mia!" shouted Levi, as I walked away, and head out of the place, and to my truck.

As we drove back home, my phone wouldn't stop ringing, or dinging with new texts, I blocked his number. I was silent until I got to my apartment, and closed the door behind me, I slid to the floor. My heart breaking as I cried.

After a while I got into the shower, and just sat in the tub, crying. Once the water ran cold, I got out. Then into bed, not caring how wet I was getting my blankets and sheets. I cried myself to sleep.

Over the next few days, Levi was outside waiting for me to come out of the apartment building, or out of school. thanks to Jen and Robert, he never got to me. I didn't want to hear his excuses i was sick of hearing excuses. Then after a month, he just stopped, I was too tired to care. It wasn't until, I was watching the T.V one night, that I was really scared of him, it was showing a video, of when Mitch had tried to rape me, but it wasn't Levi in the video, it looked like a giant....thing, I couldn't even see what it was, the shot was all blurry, but they soon said that they found a body, and when they showed Mitch's picture, I almost dropped to the floor, but I held on to the chair. Mitch was dead.

Did Levi do it, or was it just a coincidence, I could breath. I grabbed my keys, and right when I opened the door, Eve was standing there.

"MJ...where are you going?" I pushed passed her and headed toward the elevator, she managed to jump in with me.

"MJ, I'm know you're up set but why can't you wait until morning?"

I wasn't listening, when the doors opened, I ran out and to my truck. She jumped into the passenger seat, and we drove back to where Levi lived. Once there I jumped out and went to knock on the door, and rang the bell. Nothing, then I went to the shop, to look in side, they were closed.

I turned I was so pissed off, but then I suddenly felt scared, I looked around, the place was empty but I could feel someone watching me. Carefully and on full alert, I made my way back to the truck, that's when I heard the howl somewhere around me. I tripped on a branch or something, I fell on my butt. I looked around and found the same blue eyes, from my dream. Then slowly the eyes came closer, until I could see what it was, my insides went cold as I realized it was a huge wolf. I tried to get up, but I tripped again, this time, I felt it's paw on my back, I wanted to cry. Waited to have my throat ripped out, but it never came, instead, it licked my face, mainly my lips.

Then it stopped, letting me to see it clearly. I have no idea how I knew but it was something in those blue eyes, that just told me.

"Levi." Then I fainted.
