6. An Encounter With A Disappearing Mountain

Naya walk forward to the mountain, a side of it prelude inward as an entrance but blocked as if having a door, the hill was short but taller than what an average man could climb, broad and covered with greenish carpet grasses, they were perfect with it like being planted. What arose doubts in her was where she found it, the location is totally off it, it should at least be far into the bush and not at the end edge of the beach.

But how would she criticize the creator? It is natural.

She tours around it, her breath observed.

If Nick had followed her, they would have debated on how to make it a new hideout. Instead of roaming around the beach to let everyone leave, they could just hide in there for the time being.

They are such types of wolves that are raver in nature, notorious since childhood that no one will think they are royals.

She looks back at him but no appearance of him at the sight likewise the atmosphere still condenses, she doubts if it won't rain this time.

She sympathizes If Nick will truly leave her behind.

She stood for a while scowling at the mountain, climbing this mountain should be what she can handle without the help of Nick.

She uprooted some grasses to know the deepness of the soil but she found it very odd, the hardness is way harder than what mountain could be.

She isn't a novice, in her modern world, she is familiar with lots.

Hitting it again, it sounded like hitting a crystal. This is bad, there is no way a dagger could penetrate let alone hold her weight.

Would she have to return to Nick? She just wanted to find out more interesting information about it so she could brag about it to him.

She pats her body randomly, "Gosh!" Why doesn't she realize her backpack is not with her? She usually takes it along to her destinations. Why could she not know she forgot it, somewhere?

Inside the sac were her numerous nonsensical tools, however to her to be precise, they are extremely useful.

Especially if she intends to survive in the werewolf world.

She must've forgotten it in their hideout, where they change from royalty to common villagers, her dressing speak well of her as a poor boy fighting to meet his daily needs.

Even after several glances, it'd be difficult to classify her into the female gender.

That dressing style does not exclude Nick.

Naya give up on trying alone, she needed to call Nick, only he can help see to it, but will he?

She must practice how to convince him or else Nick will take it back at her for what she had done.

She has not walked a long distance when Nick pop before her, he was catching his breath as if he has been on a marathon race,

He looks gloomy as well. What could have gone upon him?

"Nick, did something happen?"

She can't resist her curiosity than to check him out carefully but Nick hold her,

He isn't that kid anymore.

"Stop making that face at me and touching me like a kid brother!" Nick gasped.

"Tsk!" She sneered.

Yes, he is still a kid brother to her and he needs thorough monitoring but Nick hate that a lot,

He won't stop claiming he's her older brother.

However if Naya did want him to help out, she should get on his good side, it's a relief nothing happened to him.

All she needs is to be more modest to convince him, if not, the payback is sure.

But she won't want to keep it to herself. No, it's not what she can keep to herself, something about the mountain seems refreshing to her.

"Nick, you have to follow me now, I have a little surprised for us."

Nick paused, whenever Naya sounded sincere, there is something up to give her merit, she wouldn't sound alluring if otherwise.

"What could that be this time? Are you trying to rub dung upon my face?"

Naya laugh in sarcasm, she hit him gently by the chest, his joke sounded as if she is that evil but could she?

"Nick! It's for our benefits."

Nick concurs, there is nothing he could do, whenever she protested, there is an aura she emits that calm his hard-headedness and ended up giving in completely.

She follows her like a bulldog.

"Wait Nick, the beach seems more enlarged, don't you think so?"

Naya noticed they'd been walking for quite some time but she couldn't see the end of the beach let alone the mountain,

"What exactly did you want to show me?"

"Yes, around here, I mean around there," She pointed forward.

"I saw a small hill at the end of the beach but now... I mean we've walked the longer distances to the hill but we are still by the beach"

She sounded confused even to herself, it seems she was into a kind of vision or dream.

Nick nods, he could see how pathetic Naya seems right now, maybe if she had not run away she won't end up suffering amnesia suddenly.

"We should head back to the Palace, Queen mother will be waiting."

"Jeez!" She sneered in disbelief.

"Nick, I'm being serious, I know what I saw!" She protested.

Neither will Nick believe her, she has tricked him often like this in the time past, often time she's trying to escape his payback,

"Naya, I'm sorry this won't work on me, you chose a very wrong idea this time."

"However, I won't punish you. No, I will punish you but not today, less we late to make Queen scold us badly"

He drag her, Naya feels reluctant, a mountain like such cannot just disappear into the tiny air.

It is not a needle for goodness sake!

"I'm so sure of what I saw Nick... This is not some prank I pooled"

Nick laugh, "You said this statement the last time, how am I going to believe you aside from that, what you said is not feasible"

"We should have come across it a long time since we were kids"

Naya feels helpless, Nick's point is right, they should have seen the mountain since they were kids.

They can't deny how notorious they were as at then, far more than what they are now.

Naya walk behind him, her eyes couldn't have seen it wrong but she has to give up, for now, it's getting darker and the family usually dine together especially dinner.

The thought of how scary it will be if the Queen noticed their absence, their heart shuddered at once,

"Run!!!" Nick shouted.
