Sabotage And Escape

I pulled the paper bombs out of my pack and pulled one out then put it near my katana.

'Can I see anything in this?' I asked and after a few seconds, he answered.

"It reeks of mana but it's not strong enough to actually create an explosion, it's more like a violent fire than anything else. Besides, the wall is protected quite thoroughly." He answered as I pulled away the paper bomb from my katana and stuck it under the skeletal remains.

I pulled a generous amount and then placed them under several more skeletal remains before moving on to the next room and the same things as well before arriving at the same room where I committed my very first sin.

There was only silence as I looked at the room full of corpses. I continue to do the same thing by putting more paper bombs around the room, under their cold and lifeless bodies.

The hallways were still silent as I continued to place paper bombs in the rooms to serve as both a distraction and an inconvenience.

I entered the laboratory at the very end of the left hallway to see the room was still empty. In my hand were twenty-nine paper bombs then I laced the room full of paper bombs seeing as this might actually be one of the more important rooms.

I put four under the long table, and two in the closet, I disconnected one of the pipes where various gasses were being transported and stuck a paper bomb inside in hopes of creating an explosion from it, though since I didn't know what kind of gas it was, I didn't have much hope about it.

To my left was a glass door where various test tubes were and after finishing putting paper bombs, I headed inside.

Immediately, I noticed that the room was very cold. The room was illuminated by the green liquid inside the test tube however there were multiple glowing orbs above me as well which dimly lit the room.

I saw multiple pipes in the walls as well so I took the thinnest one and disconnected it. After waiting for quite some time, I put a paper bomb inside the pipe before reconnecting it.

Since I was holding my breath to avoid inhaling the gases, I put the paper bombs below the test tube and immediately left the room.

As I left the room and back to the hallway, I gasped for air as my heart was beating way too fast then I immediately ran back inside the closet as my death sensitivity got stronger.

As I lower my heart rate, something picks up the heavy door and puts it up.

"Oh my god Lust, if you're that disappointed, take your anger out on literally anything else that isn't alive or at least something that isn't important." A being said in a male voice in an angry tone. Based on his voice, he should be at least middle-aged or maybe a bit older than that.

"God? Are you a worshipper now?" Another being asked in a somewhat shaky voice then he squealed in fear as the angry being looked at him.

"Shut up, it's an expression of speech," He said in an angry tone as he picks up the decapitated body. As the weight of the closet door lightens, I imagined the beings beyond the door opening it and me either pretending to be dead and probably being put into those tubes or I just get killed outright.

My hearts beat a little bit faster as I think that. The second being sniffs the air sensing a tiny amount of fear.

"What's wrong?" The angry being asked.

"Nothing, just the gasses leaking again, any way, are you going to eat the body?" He speaks in a fearful tone.

"Fuck off, I'm not eating a dick especially when it was recently "used"." He said as violent crunching sounds reverberated in the room.

"C-couldn't you j-just cut it off?" He asked, terrified from the crunching sounds and whatever horrors were happening to the body.

"Doesn't make a difference." He said, still angry before throwing the clumped-up body to a hook above the portal and casting a simple barrier spell to attract the monsters that were idling below.

"What's w-wrong?" The fearful being said as the other was sniffing the air. I hid under the piles of bloodied sheets on the ground as the closet door opened violently.

He looks around and he continues to sniff the closet before his gaze falls on the bloodied sheets. My heart was calm and my breathing was silent but he began smelling the sheets.

My hand held onto the paper that activates every single paper bomb and readied myself to immediately tear it.

"Oi, oi, oi, Himura stop that!" Akira screams.

With one final sniff, the being stood up and I closed my eyes and waited. The being runs out to the hallway and vomited. "Hey, w-what's wrong?!" The other being followed, alerted.

Understandably, the sheets had a god-awful smell, it was like a combination of both rotten corpses and rotten vegetables which was unbearable for my stomach and made me feel like vomiting.

Though I was still surprised to see that even that being which I presume is the demonic beast of anger and the other being the demonic beast of fear.

The rest of their conversation was unintelligible so all I could do was wait after fourteen minutes, I left the pile of sheets in a hurry while on the verge of vomiting but I kept myself in check.

I breathe in and breathe out, trying to clear my head silently but even in the hallway wasn't any better.

My body bore the pain a little bit longer as I made my way back to that cave while putting the rest of my paper bombs inside the remaining walls.

I approached the split in the cave and immediately noticed something wrong.

Two wandering abominations wander into the cave.

They still haven't reached the split yet so I drew my katana and looked at them. One of them had a long body with very long and sharp nails, its face had three faces of humans conjoined together

The other was monstrous as it had a single giant wing on its right side of the body, both of its arms were similar to three tentacles attached with both arms also having many eyes around which was looking everywhere. The only difference between them was that the right had a serrated blade coming out of it while the left had a leech-like monster that could extend itself slightly. It had a face of a smiling young man but considering its body, it is very hard to convince.

"Such horrors..." He commented, deeply disturbed knowing well how they are created.

'Damn, looks like there are more of those laboratories, also calm yourself, I don't know if your emotions have any effect on the blade but you never know.' I said in my head.

"Shut up alright, I'm deprived of morality like you. Though it is commendable for the wrong reasons, many have tried to say that they have no morality, trying to act tough but when a situation where their morality is questioned, they would immediately break, however, you...actually you're just a cold-hearted monster. Also, it doesn't." He insults me, referring to me as a monster. I didn't really care in general since I stopped caring for a lot of things even if those actually affect me.

All I could do was adapt to everything and hope that I wouldn't get hurt. The two abominations approached the split and I immediately decapitated the long-bodied monster who was scraping the walls with its nails using a left slash.

Before my katana could hit the wall, I pulled it away and rushed to the abomination, standing there with a kind smile. I jumped slightly and did an overhead slash however its wing blocked the attack and repealed me.

I land as the violent wind passes me and the abomination's face starts to change, the head was split into three revealing a terrible mouth full of sharp teeth. 'No eyes on the head, could it only see thanks to its arms?' I thought to myself as I charged at it.

I attacked by doing a right diagonal downward slash then dashed back as its wing tried to crush me and pin me down before it dashed toward me. An alert on my head so I tilted my head to the right and its terrible mouth tried to bite my head off but I had already dodged it before its left arm tried to leech off in my right waist but I parried it by twisting my katana and holding it in a reverse grip.

I hit the cave's wall so I ducked as its right hand tried to stab me before scraping the wall as the blades tried to follow me as I went around its body.

The wings tried to repel me but I dodged and held my katana normally before slashing it horizontally from my right.

Then I dashed back and charged at it, I pulled my katana back and it tried to absorb the attack readying its wing, however before my stab could land, I immediately changed it into an estoc and pierced through the wing and stabbed its neck.

The estoc was an edgeless sword made to get through the small gaps of armor and even pierce through lighter armor which was perfect for stabbing a wing protected by its thick bone with the occasional gap.

I pulled my estoc away and turned it into a katana before running around the wing and doing an upward slash, cutting off its left arm.

It violently roars and repels me away with its wing before dashing at me knowing that it would die soon.

I dodged it with a powerful overhead strike cutting off its right arm and stabbing its heart, the second weakness that I know of since I don't know where its brain is. I pulled away from it and looked away.

Like a puppet getting its strings cut, it drops and I slash the air before slowly putting it back at its scabbard and making a click around the moment the body lands on the floor.

I look back at the body as I catch my breath before immediately grabbing both the abomination's body and dragging it with me deeper back at the exit.

It was repulsive, grabbing the tentacle arms but I bore with it as I dragged both bodies slowly, knowing well that violent roar might attract some attention though thankfully, they didn't have much blood so we didn't leave a trail.

As I slowly dragged the bodies, Akira spoke. "I must say, your swordsmanship is quite good even after living here for only a couple of months, you're quite the natural."

"No, I'm not, I just adapt to their attack and move in accordingly. You can hear my mind, can't you? You know that I'm mostly calm in fights which makes it easier to adapt to them since I can analyze them in the heat of battle.

This is my only way to fight since I don't possess the natural bloodlust of warriors or even their strength, that's why I always try to let them attack first." I responded logically.

"What? I don't really care, just accept that you have good swordsmanship and especially your footwork."

We arrived at the very steep hole, I stared at the light above. I dropped one of the abominations and dragged the other upwards, it was challenging to do so as I sometimes slip down but I caught myself and continued up before going back down for the other body.

I gasped as I left the hole with the last body and laid down on the ground as I looked at the light of day.

Then I immediately stood up and vomited violently.
