syn pov.....

from the void we stood and watched the chaos, the other gods seemed unsurprised at my actions, they didn't give me any direction so I took my own, act like a cliche TV villain and inspire people to fight me, that's the direction I went, of course killing that scaled bear wasn't part of the plan but it was helpful in kindling more rage directed my way, these people needed to grow fast so that earth would survive, it may not seem like it but I was only trying to help.

give humans a common enemy and they'll rise against it, war is always when humans have made great strides in advancement, I was hoping the same would hold true now, as long as I'd been away from it I didn't want earth destroyed.

if I could just show the other gods that the normal everyday mortals on earth could make it with just a little power then maybe, just maybe, I could redeem my actions, maybe even justify them, but that didn't matter, not right now, I had wave two to start.

with instructions from creation and with advice from wisdom I began to open portals, portals to worlds I created, pocket worlds, mini dimensions, dungeons, call it what you like.

with those open I flooded them with strong monsters, monsters I've come across in my life, monsters I pushed forward in ranking, I also made sure they would grow in number and power.

this was an ever ongoing test.

or so I was led to belive.

regardless I was happy with how seemeless the portals appeared, and with how easy it was to populate and order the monsters.

overall my stage two was looking alot better than the others gods stage two.

here's what it looked like.

for nature all shebwas doing was making plants and wildlife strong and attack humans, didn't even give them any powers, wisdom was giving them moral conflicts and mental powers, and creation, well, she was making humans with powers and using them to divide the European population to the point of genocidal war.

mine was more fun.

"you guys sure you don't want me to just do the whole thing?"(syn) I asked the other gods, a shame held nod directed my way.

the exact moment they all agreed to me taking over I collapsed to my knees, sweat pouring from my body, vision and breath hazy.

"holy fuck!"(syn) I wheezed, but I could feel my stage two replacing their stage two, portals opened, people gained systems, and just like that the entire world began to look more and more devastated.

I could feel the stress placed on my body fading away.

our walk was painfully dull, Sam kept quiet and stayed relatively to herself while I made sure I scouted the horizon, ever since those large colorful holes ripped open in the skies I'd made sure to be cautious.

whatver that wolf was doing was progressing, in his own words, "it will only get harder."

thats probably what this is, holes to challenges, some form of gateway, they could even be life forms on their own, whatever they were, we needed to avoid them for now.

at the same time sam and I got a ding and the screens showed up.

[Congrats on surviving the first wave, wave two, the dungeon wave has begun, progressed to level 1, stats and abilities unlocked]

both sam and I felt a wave of intense energy pass through our bodies as we stood there in shock, the screen faded and left us alone on the road, abandoned cars all around us.

the broken city behind us was beginning to fall beneath the horizon as we moved, our pace had quickened noticeably.

I grinned as this new ability really amused me, it was definitely going to be interesting to go and experience what I was doing first hand.

the instant I landed I started walking down the road towards the city, strolling calmly along as I had no worries, at the current moment I was still the strongest being on the planet.

but it would take time to get used to, my natural body control was helping but I felt extreme weakness all over, it was near exhaustion with how It felt.

but I pushed on, continuing down the road.

alright, yeah, send them a message, tell them that I've been yanked into something unexpected and won't be home for a while, tell them I'm stuck on another planet they won't be able to get to.

with the last request added and the screen closed I narrowly avoided colliding with two girls, the two girls from the base!

"sorry about that, I was just heading to the city."(syn)

the larger girl grabbed me by the arm, stopping me, seems she's stronger than a normal human now.

"you can't go there, everyone's dead, come with us."(larger girl)

I pretended to act hesitant, I was curious to know what someone would do in an apocalypse so following the first people I saw was a given.

"why should I go with you?"(syn) I asked, making sure I knew their motivations, if they're after me, which they probably are, I'd be able to use that, I could grow their strength while having them chase me.

the only thing is that I'd be next to them the entire time.

"because we're stronger in groups, solo people aren't making it."(larger girl) said, I knew that was a lie, there was a level fifteen just a hundred miles from here doing absolutely fine on her own.

"alright, I'll come with, my names JD, what's yours?"(syn)

I figured using my name while I was cursed wouldn't hurt, they could find out my name through quests, correction, I'd give them my name during quests.

"my names Lilly."(Lilly) the larger girl said, she looked like she was military, the uniform and figure was a giveaway.

"my names sam."(sam) said the smaller meek girl, it did interest me how she went from quiet and cautious to rageful and determined.

"what now?"(syn) I asked, curious, I've never really been in an apocalypse, well, I have, but it wasn't even close to a struggle for me to survive, it's not even a struggle now, but I was interested to see what people do.
