Chapter 32

"Good afternoon, mam; I have your lunch ready for you,"

"Thank you, where is my husband."

"He had left before sunrise, mam; I am not sure where he went."

Thanks, Cristelle

Jamie stands up and walks over to the window, looking down into the road; the house opposite paint is discolored, its tall grass makes the house barely visible from outside; Jamie notices the familiar face of the lady opposite as she waves out of the window to the aged lady, the lady looks up at her and turns around looking frightened as she closes her curtains and door.

Jamie frowns; maybe she is just senile; she walks over to the mirror and starts combing her hair, "Lilah, where are you."

There is no response; Jamie walks downs the staircase to the front door, "Mam, where are you going?"

Jamie ignores her and attempts to open the door, but it has a security lock code to insert.

"Mrs. Johnson, we were instructed by Mr. Johnson not to let you leave the house."
