606. A Day in the Life of a Lycaon Queen

Katie woke up to the sound of chirping birds and a cool breeze. Groaning, her hands searched the bed for her sole source of addictive scented warmth but came up empty.

Her eyes fluttered open to confirm the bleak feeling of his absence. The sheets were cold and although his scent lingered, she could tell he'd been gone at least twenty minutes.

Before her mind could start plotting all sorts of ways to make Cole pay for this, she caught a whiff of the beautiful scent of nature.

Fresh roses were placed neatly at the bedside table with a little envelope in them, complete with the King's Royal seal.

Rolling over to them, she pulled herself up and gave herself a moment to sniff the flowers. They were lovely… and most likely freshly picked from the Queen Mother's garden.

She picked up the letter and opened it mumbling, 'Such a waste of resources…'
