"Son?" A lady in common clothes approached Prince Aaron casually. Alex and Ivan took out their swords as soon as they heard a stranger approach the group.

They knew that the queen was in the city, but they, even Prince Aaron, never thought that she would come and meet him so openly, especially when she was supposed to be at the palace. So, they could not imagine this lady to really be the queen.

This lady had worn an attire similar to Emmeline but she had a big cotton robe on her with a hoodie which was hiding her face. But of course, Prince Aaron could recognize her voice anywhere. She was the sole reason he was alive, after all.

He raised his arm to both his friends to make them withdraw the sword. With a smile, he acknowledged the queen. "Mother," he called.
