Plot Twist, Security You've Got The Wrong Guy!

At the Xilin chemical plant.

The security guard was leisurely listening to the radio in the guardhouse. He looked at the clock on his desk—8:30.

He knew that his overtime shift would be over in half an hour. By the time most of the facility's employees had left, he could have a nap. The weather wasn't hot today and was very suitable for napping.

He unfolded a simple camp bed and began making preparations in advance.

At this moment, he saw a beam of light at the main gate. As an experienced guard, he knew that a car was coming.

The guard walked out and saw a van barreling towards him. He waved at the van but soon realized that it had no intention of slowing down.

He suddenly felt a little angry. Holding the remote control of the entry barrier on the driveway, he intended to go over and give the van driver a piece of his mind. If the driver's attitude was not good, he would have to get the person-in-charge to come out.

This sort of reckless character needed to be taught a lesson.

The guard stood on one side, waiting for the van to stop on its own volition.

Suddenly, there was a loud crash, sending the guard running helter-skelter back into the guardhouse.

The van not only did not slow down, it crashed through the entry barrier and headed towards the inner zone of the facility.

The guard ran after the van for a brief moment before realizing that he couldn't outrun the van. He immediately returned to the guardhouse to get the walkie-talkie.

"Hello, hello, Captain! A silver van just barged into the facility's inner zone. I couldn't stop it!"

"You useless bum!" The security captain cursed. "Got it, keep an eye on the main gate!"

"Understood!"

The moment he finished speaking, a red Ferrari zoomed past the chemical plant main gate with complete unobstructed ease.

He did not even have time to facepalm. The guard held the walkie-talkie and gulped nervously. He then braced himself and reported the new situation to the security captain.

Chen Yeliang followed the van into the chemical plant. The by now very pungent smell of chemicals in the air amplified the ominous feeling he had.

The reason Xiong Chang ran into the chemical plant so recklessly…

Chen Yeliang did not dare to think further. He only hoped that they could catch them quickly and put an end to this madness.

Sure enough, the van ahead had stopped in front of the warehouse. Xiong Chang and Qiu Pengpai stumbled into the building.

Chen Yeliang did not give a hoot that Xiong Chang was still carrying that shotgun with him. He immediately abandoned the car and went after the pair.

At this moment, a few burly men armed with truncheons rushed out from a corner of the facility building. They were clearly heading towards him.

Chen Yeliang did not want to waste any more time engaging the security guards, so he quickly ran towards the warehouse.

"Stop right there! What are you doing? If you don't stop now, we won't hold back!" the nearest security guard shouted.

Chen Yeliang did not know how to introduce himself. He couldn't possibly say that he was a parkour contestant, right?

He glanced over his shoulder, intending to ignore them.

Unfortunately, another guard dashed out of another building to block Chen Yeliang's way.

"Move aside! Two dangerous characters have gone inside!" Chen Yeliang said anxiously.

The guard was like a movable roadblock, blocking Chen Yeliang's way wherever he went.

Chen Yeliang frowned slightly and recited in his heart, "Divine Motor Skills!"

With precise control of his muscles, he leaped forward. The guard saw him coming and rushed up to block him.

Chen Yeliang immediately pulled the brakes and leaped backwards. Thereafter, he swiveled around and deftly avoided the guard who rushed headlong past him.

"I'm sorry, I have something urgent to attend to!" Chen Yeliang wasted no time and dashed inside.

The guard missed completely, took a tumble and fell to the ground.

But the guard was tenacious. As he fell, his outstretched hand managed to grab hold of Chen Yeliang's ankle.

He stretched out both his arms and wrapped them around Chen Yeliang's ankles. "Come quickly, I've caught him! Quickly come and help!"

The guards running after Chen Yeliang were delighted and rushed over to fence Chen Yeliang in.

Chen Yeliang was furious. When this guard emerged from the building, he practically ignored Xiong Chang and partner who went past them, and came straight for him!

The guard holding onto his leg was extremely dogged. Chen Yeliang tried to shake him off with all his might but to no avail. He watched helplessly as the other guards with their truncheons approached, all geared up to give him a good thrashing.

"Two guys covered in blood ran inside just now. Didn't you see them?!" Chen Yeliang questioned him loudly.

The guard hugged his leg tightly and said without thinking, "Bullsh*t, I didn't even see a fly, let alone a person!"

Thinking that Chen Yeliang was just trying to find an excuse, the guard rebutted him robustly.

Chen Yeliang was speechless with fury. He moved forward strenuously, dragging the guard hanging on his ankle.

"Stop right there! Hey, you there!" The leader of the security guards pulled Chen Yeliang back. From the look of his uniform, he was probably the captain of the security team.

He carefully sized up Chen Yeliang and then looked at the luxury car whose idling engine was still humming gently. He postulated that Chen Yeliang was a spoiled brat rich kid and realized quickly that this was someone that he could not afford to offend. He hastily dialed back the nasty rhetoric and said,

"This is a privately-owned facility. What are you doing here?"

Chen Yeliang said with resignation, "I already said I am looking for those guys driving the van. There are two of them, both injured!"

The security captain eyed the van suspiciously, then looked down at the guard hugging Chen Yeliang's legs.

That guard finally let go, dusted himself off and stood up. To prove that he wasn't slacking off at work, he swore to the heavens with three fingers. "Captain, believe me, no one can sneak in under my watch. Maybe they went into the warehouse on the opposite side!"

Chen Yeliang rolled his eyes at him speechlessly and looked towards the inside of the warehouse.

Not far away, there was a pool of red on the ground, still glistening under the light.

Xiong Chang and Qiu Pengpai were seriously injured. While it was unlikely they were dripping blood every step of the way, there would still be traces left behind.

Chen Yeliang realized that the situation had taken a turn for the better and his eyes lit up. He pointed at the red mark and said, "See that? There's a pool of blood there! Those two guys are definitely inside!"

Like a police dog, the security captain ran over and squatted down beside the bloodstains. He dabbed his finger in the pool, before rubbing and sniffing at it.

He immediately turned pale with fright. "It's blood!"

The guard, who had made such a valiant vow earlier, instantly shrank back and stood meekly at the side.

Chen Yeliang quickly ran over to the security captain and said, "Captain, those two people tried to murder someone and are carrying guns with them!"

"The most important thing now is to evacuate all the workers in the facility, cut off the power supply, and then seal all the escape routes!"

Evacuating workers was equivalent to the suspension of production. For a security guard, that kind of responsibility was too great to shoulder.

The security captain faltered. "The machines here operate 24 / 7. They cannot be shut down. This is way above my head. I have to check with the boss first!"

Chen Yeliang turned around on the spot twice in exasperation. He now understood how it felt to have his efforts frustrated by others, the same way he frustrated Xiong Chang and Qiu Pengpai's attempt to kill him.

Two dangerous terrorists were wandering around inside the facility. With so many flammable chemicals and employees, they were simply providing those two with ready explosives and hostages!

"Then you go ahead and talk to your boss. I'll go in and take a look!"

Chen Yeliang then turned around to run towards the building.

The biggest bane of facilities that produced hazardous products was outsiders who did not know the rules. Two outsiders had already trespassed into the compound. If they allowed another one in, their jobs would be in jeopardy.

The security captain immediately barred Chen Yeliang from going in.

"You can't go in!"

"What difference does it make when two trespassers are already inside? Besides I'm the safer of the two!"

Chen Yeliang felt exhausted. Why was this guy so uncompromising!

"Ah!"

As the two of them were tussling with each other, a blood-curdling scream suddenly rang out from the facility that was still in operation!
