Entering the Fire Site Alone, Discovering Trapped Personnel!

The situation was pressing!

Lu Ruijin said in a hoarse voice, "Colleagues! The time has come to put ourselves to the test. Take your equipment and follow me!"

As he spoke, Lu Ruijin choked a couple of times. He couldn't say anything else and didn't know how to bid farewell.

It was not known what chemicals were in the fire site. Neither was the exact location of the trapped personnel known. They could only enter the fire site and deal with the threats as and when they encountered them. The veteran firefighter could still manage… He glanced over at Wu Zhuo again with an aching heart. His throat tightened at the sight of that pair of young and tender eyes!

The dire situation did not allow them the luxury of waiting for reinforcements.

"Let's go!"

Lu Ruijin waved his arm and all fifteen firefighters followed him without any regrets.

At this critical moment, Officer Zhao could suddenly be heard screaming from behind them. "Student Chen, don't go!"

A flash of yellow zipped past like lightning. The incongruous sound of the bicycle chain rubbing against each other was like a whip slicing through the wind, rushing headlong into the raging inferno. Everyone felt a gust of wind blow past them, causing some to lose their balance.

Wu Zhuo teetered for a moment. Then he adjusted his heavy breathing apparatus, and took a good look at his surroundings. What he saw made him widen his eyes in disbelief. His trembling hand pointed in the direction of the warehouse buildings.

"Chief, look!" Wu Zhuo pointed ahead in shock.

All they saw was Chen Yeliang riding a semi-old shared bicycle in a mad dash towards the fearsome flames all alone!

He was extremely fast, and the two wheels spun like the mythical flaming wheels of the gods, its force overpowering and unstoppable!

Officer Zhao, who had been chasing him on foot, was completely out of breath and was stopped by Lu Ruijin at the entrance of the building.

Lu Ruijin was furious. "Officer Zhao, is that someone you know? Why didn't you stop him?"

Officer Zhao could find no words to explain himself. He slapped his thighs in frustration. "Let's not bother about this for now. Quickly save him!"

"All of you follow me!"

Lu Ruijin picked up the fire fighting equipment. Taking his position at the front of the team, he led the way inside.

Boom!

Warehouse 2 exploded again! The blaze fanned out like a giant meandering serpent, cutting the pathway into the interior in half. The ensuing overpowering flashover blew away the unsuspecting firefighters like an overturned chessboard, and they landed on the ground, rolling many times!

Lu Ruijin, who was taking the lead up front, couldn't shield his head in time. He took the biggest hit. If it wasn't for the fire engine in front of him that helped shield him, he would have rolled more than ten meters away.

"Cough! Cough! Cough!" Lu Ruijin's lungs suffered direct damage, and he clutched at his chest, coughing violently.

Officer Zhao quickly helped him up. "Are you alright? Are your team members all right?"

The fallen firefighters persevered to support their bodies and eventually stood up shakily!

"Save… save…" He clutched his chest and took two painful breaths. He pointed at the three-meter tall wall of fire. "High pressure hose… provide cover…"

By now, the fire within the buildings was totally out of control. The sudden explosion had completely segregated the world inside from the world outside the facility buildings.

Lu Ruijin looked at the facility buildings ruefully. Chen Yeliang had probably been burnt to ashes when he went in just now. He had already lost one man before he could save anyone. His heart felt like it was being squeezed tightly and he was overwhelmed with guilt.

"Damn it!" Lu Ruijin punched the ground viciously. "What was that kid thinking!"

He honestly couldn't understand why Chen Yeliang had rushed in. He was simply rushing to his death!

Officer Zhao understood how he felt. He squatted by his side, supporting his body. He kept quiet, not knowing what to say to him. He could only call out to the rest of the firefighters to check on their injuries.

Wu Zhuo, who was beside them, gulped. He slowly took his phone back from Officer Zhao's hand. It felt like a thousand pounds in his hand.

With his heart in his mouth, he tapped on Chen Yeliang's live streaming channel with leaden fingers.

It did not display the black screen that he was anticipating. The comments were still very active.

In particular, after Chen Yeliang entered the fire site by himself, the web viewers' reactions exploded!

"Damn! Chen Yeliang went in without any protection. Is he tired of living?"

"He had cable supports when he jumped off earlier. Now, it's just a shared bicycle?"

"In the past, there were influencers who stole lifeboats from the rescue team to attract attention. I didn't expect there to be someone more ruthless than them."

"Previous poster, watch what you say! Open your damn eyes wide open and watch the live stream carefully!"

In the channel screen, a black figure was forging ahead against the fiery red background! Chen Yeliang's cool dashing face was practically leaping out of the screen!

"He's still alive!" Wu Zhuo exclaimed excitedly.

Officer Zhao pricked up his ears. His body reacted faster than his brain. He rushed over and grabbed Wu Zhuo's phone, his eyes bulging so much that they almost touched the screen.

When he saw the familiar figure, Officer Zhao almost cried tears of joy.

"He's still alive! Student Chen is still alive!" he shouted breathlessly.

Lu Ruijin, clutching his aching ribs, dragged himself with difficulty to Officer Zhao's side. Then, the other firefighters followed suit.

The tiny phone was quickly surrounded by people.

In the next instant, the web viewers inside the live stream channel and the firefighters outside it were both cheering for Chen Yeliang!

"Don't just stand there!" Lu Ruijin and his team regrouped and prepared to set off again.

Chen Yeliang entered the fire site and rode towards Warehouse 8.

When he passed by Warehouse 2, Chen Yeliang saw his previously-red Ferrari.

Parked all alone at the entrance of the warehouse, it had been burnt beyond recognition.

The concrete floor outside the factory was flooded with a transparent fluid. When a gust of wind blew over it, the bluish-purple flames spread further.

Twenty minutes after the explosion, the temperature inside the fire site was exceptionally high. Like an enclosed oven, if an ordinary person without protection entered, within two minutes they would be cooked to a crisp like a roasted suckling pig.

Chen Yeliang's face was covered in dense perspiration and his drenched clothes looked like they had just been fished out from the water.

Fortunately, he was protected by the system and could not die. He could feel the heat, but his body essentially did not suffer any damage.

But bicycles were not so lucky.

The rubber tires had already begun to soften and melt. The gooey black stains stuck to the ground and left sticky strands in its wake.

When Chen Yeliang reached Warehouse 4, there were only two metal wheel rims left on the bicycle.

If not for his blazing riding speed which was so fast that the wheels had no time to become deformed, the bicycle would have been destroyed.

Seeing that he had already arrived at Warehouse 8, Chen Yeliang realized that he had arrived ahead of the fire.

The wind was blowing from south to north, and it was difficult for the wind to dissipate the thick smoke.

The power in the warehouse had already been cut off. The flickering light from the flames was not enough to illuminate the interior for him to have a good look inside, but the sound of coughing had already reached Chen Yeliang's ears.

"I'm here to rescue you. Where are you guys?" Chen Yeliang shouted.

At the sound of the rescuer's voice, two square beams of light shone out from the depths of the warehouse.

Chen Yeliang ran towards the light and found seven to eight people huddled together. A few of them had put on gas masks while the rest had wet towels over their noses and mouths.

Chen Yeliang's appearance gave them a glimmer of hope in their lifeless eyes.

But when Chen Yeliang saw that behind these seven to eight people, there were still four to five people lying on the ground. Their limp bodies gave the impression that they had fainted.

"What happened to them?" Chen Yeliang asked anxiously as he squatted down beside them.

A man wearing a gas mask stepped forward and explained, "The one beside you fell from a high place when it exploded."

"The rest wanted to rush out, but the blast knocked them back. They inhaled some poisonous smoke in the process and passed out."

After hearing his explanation, Chen Yeliang frowned.

Eight people and five unconscious victims! The situation was worse than he had imagined.
