Luke realized that even though he was strong for an advanced spirit realm cultivator, he was still just an advanced spirit realm cultivator, he hadn't had any special opportunities that could allow him to jump a minor breakthrough and then a major breakthrough. The best chance that he had was the scale he was given and he didn't even know how to use that yet. He was stuck between a rock and a hard place, it wasn't like he could ask for help either, the other generals were fighting at least 2 master spirit realm cultivators at once! Luke learned that he truly was weak.

The fire-covered fists were being sent at him at a rapid pace and Luke was barely able to dodge them using water currents. Although Luke knew he was out-classed, he wouldn't give up. Luke would rather fight to the death than give up on his road to true strength, he had to figure something out. If Luke was able to survive whatever that demon stuff was without even having any cultivation or skills, then Luke could survivor now.

Luke started to form a plan, he didn't know if it would work, but it was worth a try. Luke started to fight back against the human.

"So you still fight in you, then give me your best shot!"

Luke stopped dodging the fists instead he started to catch them with his fists, but for some reason, the fists were smaller than the normal ones and a was deeper blue.

"What!?! How could a baby dragon know how to use yin!?!"

Luke started to catch the fists with his fists, and although they were hard to catch he was starting to make this fight a draw instead of a losing fight. Luke couldn't do this for long though, using yang qi took a lot more qi than water qi, when Luke made a minor breakthrough the amount of qi he could use at once without having to recharge for a bit was 500, 200 more than before.

Although he had a lot more qi accessible to him he still was losing qi at a rapid pace, "It seems like this battle can't last much longer. It's a shame if you were at least in the peak spirit realm then maybe this battle could last longer. It doesn't matter, as long as we can take you back to the lab we will be able to do a lot of research on you and learn a lot more about water dragons. So let's end this already."

The elder then started to take all of the fists the were surrounding him and merged them into one, and once he did he shot it out to Luke. While he was doing this Luke tried to do this as well but it took too much qi after Luke was done combining two of them he ran out of qi and when he did his body became a lot harder to move and he lost control of the fist he combined.

"This is the end dragon, it was a good fight you gave me, good luck in the next life."

The fist shot out at Luke and when it did it felt like time had frozen, Luke had his eyes open and saw the fist it was a huge flaming fist, it felt like the burning sun. Luke passed out, but when he did the scale he put in his inventory forcibly came out and started shining everywhere like the sun.

"GET UP!"

Luke felt like his head was gonna explode when he woke up. After a couple of minutes of pain, Luke started to look around, and when he did he was startled. He was in the water, but it was dark, pitch-black almost. All of a sudden the water around him started to brighten up, it wasn't from nothing though, Luke looked at the light source and saw something familiar.

It was a merman, he had a huge body build, like a bodybuilder but a lot more muscles everywhere. The first thing Luke thought of when he saw him was, the Greek god, Poseidon. The difference was though that he had a merman tail.

"So you are finally awake. Alright, it is time to begin."

"Begin what?"

"The training of course, I will teach you the way of the mermen and how we fight. You should be ecstatic, the only reason you are being taught this is that you attracted my daughter's fancy. Ok, it's time to begin, I guess since you have the body of a baby dragon I might have to change the way I teach you...well, I guess it doesn't matter much since your soul isn't one of a dragon at all."

"First, you need to learn how to use a trident, the best weapon you can use in the sea is a trident. You may think that your gun technique is better but you are wrong. You know in my day hundreds of thousands of years ago the trident conquered the sea. It was such an amazing time, trident techniques were available to everyone everywhere, but now tridents have been lost in history as a normal weapon that everyone can use."

"Alright, you can create things with water and control them right? Then control a more physical thing instead."

The merman tossed a trident out of nowhere, it was a normal trident you would see, just a greenish-blue. Luke understood was the merman wanted him to do, so he started to do it. He tried using the water around him to control the trident which was working a bit at first, but after a couple of minutes of moving the trident around Luke stopped. He ran out of qi, "This is a problem, take this it will help you a lot, I can't have a student who isn't at least in the master realm."

The merman tossed a pill to Luke, and Luke used inspect on it.

Luke decided to just eat it, if the merman wanted to kill him he wouldn't have to go through the trouble of poison. After eating it, Luke felt the qi in his body going crazy, and it was painful once again.

After who knows how long Luke stopped screaming out in pain, and when he looked at his cultivation status he was shocked.
