Caden Mistral and Leila Bridge are two halves of the same problem. They’re both stuck mourning for souls already at rest. Caden travels the world of dreams. He wanders through the void, entering other people’s dreams as he wishes. It was the call of destiny in the form of a hound that led him to Leila Bridge’s door. 

The two journey through the world of dreams and stumble upon a crossover to a life they didn’t know they lived. An old evil resurfaces and threatens to connect the two opposite worlds. Caden and Leila are now forced to face an adversary they don’t have the power to beat. Luckily, there’s a surprise for them at the other side of a mirror.

Chapter 28: Her Name is Cassiopea Aster


Orion and Caden were both investigating the different dreamscapes while they couldn’t access Leila Bridge’s dreams. They wanted to make sure the man in the cloak wasn’t going to be present anywhere else. Hopefully, he wouldn’t have any interest in any other.


And so Caden found himself in the dreams of Cassiopea Aster, one of his many childhood friends. The Aster family was a large one but he found companionship in the two eldest siblings, Cassi and Tashi Aster. All of them entered school with very unique last names, very different from the ones that surrounded them. In the land of Santos and De Guzmans, they were Aster and Mistral. It didn’t make them any different from anyone else besides the fact that people would more likely think they’re more well off than they are. Nevertheless, it was a strange way they bonded with each other. To this day, they remained strong.
