Thirty-Nine

The room was in chaos as angry ghouls attacked the living. People were running, screaming or trying to use magic to fight them all back, but all Ash could do was stare in horror. The scars on her arms burning at the sight of the army of ghosts.

“Ash!”

She looked up at Caleb who was holding out his hand. “Come on.”

“H-he was trying to warn me.”

Caleb knelt down. “What are you talking about?”

“I had a nightmare last night I know what Serena did to those kids. But I never thought they would still be trapped here. How is she doing this?”

“The Black Witch huh? She must have a Gray on her side. If she’s behind this then we need to get you out of here.”

Caleb tried to pick her up, but it was as if she was glued to the floor, she wouldn’t budge. He looked into her eyes and saw that she was paralyzed with fear, her phasmophobia along with the chill that was surely going through her was possibly triggering a flashback.

“Dad!” Caleb called.
