Chapter 12: You Just Don't Care at All

Everyone was looking at Lewis Yale's original wife, and for a moment... those who just said that a husband cheats because his wife is ugly were silent.

Grace Gordon stood under the countless flashing cameras, not inferior to the superstar Gail Wright at all. Although her features were not as stunning and perfect as Gail's, she was still rare and beautiful, with a serene and distant temperament, like a white lotus on the summit... It was her temperament that set her apart.

Lewis Yale's thin lips trembled, and he said nothing in the end.

Once Ian Leighton had been a good teacher to Lewis... teaching him many things, but now... he could only watch Ian with his head bleeding, it was really... ridiculous!

Ian's wounds had been bandaged, but because he had fainted after being hit, he needed to stay in the hospital for observation.

At this moment, Grace was already jumping around on the sickbed eating ice cream, and Gail was standing by the window, opening the blinds to look at the reporters who were still lingering outside.

"It's so annoying!" Gail frowned.

On the way here, some reporters had questioned Gail's relationship with Ian. Gail wasn't worried about the gossip... just worried about Ian.

It had been years since Ian's fame, and the outside world did not know of Ian's mental damage. They only knew that after that year's accident, Ian had to retire from the world to recuperate and nothing else. Gail didn't want anyone to know about Ian's current situation.

"Does it still hurt?" Grace asked Ian.

Ian shook his head with a smile, as innocent and adorable as a child, "No pain! No pain with ice cream!"

Gail turned to look at Grace, who was smiling faintly, and frowned. "Seriously... do you really not plan to divorce Lewis?"

Grace carefully wiped Ian's face with a tissue and said calmly, "It was I who wronged him first!"

Gail knew she was talking about the time when Grace woke up in the same bed with Stanhope Brown.

Gail frowned and was silent for a moment before she finally spoke, "Even if you wronged him first... it should be even after all these years he has fooled around with so many women!"

Gail glanced at the ecstatic Ian and sat down beside Grace, lowering her voice, "Or maybe you just don't care, and in your heart you still can't forget..."

Before Gail could finish her sentence, Grace's phone rang.

"Hello, who's this?"

Because Grace had just replaced her cellphone, she hadn't had time to save all the phone numbers yet.

As soon as there was a sound from the other end, Grace got up and walked outside, calling out, "Mom..."

This "Mom" could only be Grace's mother-in-law, and Lewis's mother, of course.

"Grace Gordon! What the hell is going on?" The angry voice of Lewis's mother, Rina Glade, came from the other end of the phone. "What kind of person are you? You let the rumors of your own kidnapping splash onto your husband's reputation. You didn't even answer the phone or deal with it for such a long time! Now it has led to such a mess at the airport! What kind of reputation do you want Lewis to have?"
