"Ah, here we are." Liam Carrington glanced at Charles Morrison, then closely followed Axel Hawkins and Elena Duncan, watching the couple snuggling up ahead without feeling like a third wheel at all.
The three of them got into the car, and Liam Carrington took the initiative to sit in the passenger seat. The driver waited for them to settle in before driving off.
"Why did you come today? I was saying that when I return this afternoon, I was planning to book a flight to celebrate your birthday with you." Elena Duncan cradled the roses, loving them dearly. The surprise from Axel was indeed too overwhelming for her.
"I thought of coming over early to surprise you. My birthday is in just four days, and I was worried you might not make it back, so I came early." Axel Hawkins explained, pleased to see how much Elena liked the flowers he had given her, and thought to himself that it was true what they say in books—girls really can't resist red roses.
"?" How could she not make it back?
