Heal

I try but I'm unable to speak. But there's no need. Jackson put his free arm around me, our little family is together again.

"You still want to marry me?"

I just shake my head smiling, some tears falling at the same time.

-------

"Candice! Come on, you're already late. Give her to me, we need to go."

It's still hard for me to be a part of my baby girl, she's still so little. But today is a special day, and I'm glad she'll be part of it.

"Ok, ok. Bye honey... see you soon baby girl."

Josie takes the baby girl from me smiling.

A couple of hours later I'm fully dressed, when the car parks in front of the building I'm very anxious.

"You look so beautiful, my dear. Your grandmother would be so proud of you. She would be probably crying, she was a melting butter."

Papa Danny speaks fighting back tears.

"Yes... She was..."

I smile and take his arm, we walk inside together. My heart gives quick jumps when the door opens.

We walk a few steps when I finally spot Jackson. Our eyes meet, the way he looks at me makes my heart melt. I can't see anyone else but him.

Now I don't feel anxious or scared anymore, just happy.

The only thing that distracts me from Jackson is when I spot our kids. Jax should be holding the wedding rings but she couldn't wait and fell asleep, Melie on the other hand is fully awake.

Now that she's almost three months she finally sleeps more hours at night.

When I look to the front again, I'm already close to Jackson, he takes a few steps in my direction.

"Hey..."

"Hey..."

"You look gorgeous."

I blush a little, he still has this effect on me.

"It's all for you."

We walk the last steps together, while the officiant speaks I can't help glancing at Jackson from time to time, it's almost like I need to make sure he's still there.

Jackson looks straight into my eyes and squeezes my hand.

My hands are shaking a bit when Jackson put the ring on my finger. The anticipation of what comes next makes me feel like I have a million butterflies in my stomach.

Most of the time when I look at him he's already looking at me too. His eyes are full of love and admiration.

Since Jax fell asleep Matt hands the wedding ring to Jackson.

"You gave me back life with your love. You'll never be just another woman, you'll never be a replacement. You're the strongest and most generous person I ever met. I can't wait to share the rest of my life with you. I love you, Candie baby."

I was very touched during his speech. But his last words made my jaw drop. I narrow my eyes to him, and I bet if I had my flower bouquet with me I'd have hit Jackson with that.

Everyone smiles, he knows I hate this pet name. Only Papa Danny calls me like this because I can't fight him.

"You already said the "I do", You can't take it back."

I can't be mad at him, I love this man. He's so easy-going and relaxed now, he has nothing from the stressed and always grumpy man I met one year ago.

"Don't try me."

We both smile, now is my turn.

"You gave me the two most precious things I have in life. This is just one of the reasons why I love you so much.

Thank you for allowing me to be only me, for loving me for who I am.

I didn't know what real love is before I met you."

My eyes are watering, I'm sure I can't add anything else without crying.

First Jackson rests his forehead on mine, holding my face with both hands. Then he kiss me, like only one kiss could be enough to show he means everything he said.

"I love you."

As we walk outside together I see how happy Jackson is, I feel at home with him. He is where I belong.

-------

Three months later...

"Candice, you called Bonnie 15 minutes ago, I'm pretty sure if something changed she would have called us. The kids are fine."

We're finally out for our honeymoon trip, since Mellie was just two months old when we got married we decided to delay the trip.

"I know, I know... it's just I forgot to tell her Jax can't eat sugar after dinner time."

"No, you told her twice."

"But..."

"Shhh..."

Jax interrupts me with a kiss, I feel all my body relax.

Better?"

"Yes..."

"Don't worry, they'll be fine. I miss them too, but let's try to enjoy our time without the kids, we don't know when we'll have another chance like this. Especially now with another baby coming."

He place a hand on my belly, we just found out about my second pregnancy a few weeks ago.

"We still have plenty of time before she arrives."

"Why do you keep saying it's a girl? It's only a few weeks."

"A mother always knows."

"Is this some kind of science?"

"Shut up."

"You get bossy when pregnant. I like it."

He leans closer to me and places a sweet kiss on my lips, but usually, only one kiss is never enough. As soon as our lips touch I feel the heat of his body on mine, I could almost forget we're outdoors.

He keeps tracing my neck and collarbone with kisses.

"mmm..."

"Jax..."

"hmm?"

"Jax, as much as it sounds very tempting I don't think the other tourists would enjoy a show at the beach."

"I wouldn't be so sure about that."

"Hey!"

He chuckles and gives me a last kiss on my shoulder before he takes some distance.

"Fine, I'll save this for our hotel room."

"You bet..."

"Hey?"

"hmm?"

He's looking at me with the most lovely eyes.

"Are you happy?"

"There's no one happier than me right now."

Jackson smiles laying down, he sighs closing his eyes under the warm sun.

--------

*How couldn't you find a flight? This is unacceptable!

Just get me a private jet, or whatever. I just need to be there for this meeting by the morning.*

(Private jet? Not bad... not bad at all.)

The man shut down the voice call sighing in exasperation.

"Fück!"

"No one should be this stressed in a place like this."

"Sorry, you had to hear that."

"No problem, I'm Amanda."

"Nice to meet you, Amanda. I am..."

The End.
