Friends?

Mikael woke up from his sleep due to the murmuring.

"Someone's here," he thought, getting up from the hard rock who had hurt his back the entire day.

He wondered if he should kill them or try to talk. In the end, he came to the conclusion that killing more people would attract too much attention, as he had killed two already. The sound of footsteps couldn't escape his supernatural hearing. He saw them clearly as day, two people, one man and one woman.

They looked similar to each other, and based on the way they talked, Mikael assumed that they were siblings. He had come up with the plan of leaving the cave stealthily, and come back some time later. The siblings would find strange a man sitting there alone in a dark cave. Mikael didn't even make fire, which was the primary thing when it comes to surviving.

Leaving the cave without them noticing was easy for Mikael. Standing behind a bush, he used his long sharp claws, tearing his clothing apart. That was his plan, to seem like someone who was trying to survive in that wilderness. He thought that they would trust him more.

The siblings talked to each other, laughing and smiling. A fire stood in the middle of the cave, lighten the surroundings and creating a warm full atmosphere.

"Who is it?" the man said. He got up quickly, unsheathing his sword. His sister stood at the side, holding a bow. She performed a incantation, and a mystic arrow appeared.

"Calm down, I'm not a threat," said Mikael. His footsteps were slow, and he held his hands up high.

"Who are you? What are you doing in this place? Aren't you far from the city?" he asked Mikael multiple questions. Mikael knew that his story would feel strange, but after observing the siblings for some time he knew that they were good people.

"I don't remember a thing. I woke up with a bruise in my head three days ago, and the only thing I know is my name, Mikael," he spilled some bullshit, hoping that they would at least help him to get into the city. He saw that they were dressed in the same way as the other two he had killed right after waking, and he assumed that it was some student clothing or something.

The siblings looked at each other with a strange gaze, as if they didn't believe entirely in the story. But in the end, they relaxed. Both of them had weapons and Mikael look inoffensive, so it should be all right to help him.

"I'm Nicolas and this is my sister Evelyn," he pointed towards the girl, which was quite astonishing.

"She's so pretty," thought Mikael, looking at her angelic face.

"Where are you guys heading?" asked Mikael.

"Back to the city. We need to get back to our school," Evelyn replied.

"Wanna go back with us?" Nicolas asked.

"Sure," Mikael smiled, happy that his plan had worked.

He had used his mind magic on Jenifer, compelling her to go back to her school and tell them a history about a horrifying beast who had killed both George and Danny. Mikael didn't believe they would link that event with him, so he felt relaxed going towards this school.

"We will leave in the morning. Now, let's get some rest," Nicolas said, as the three of them slept near the fire.

"Walking during the day will be a pain in the ass..." Mikael wasn't happy about that, but there was no other option...
