There was a strange and excruciating pain that penetrated through my skin while I tried regaining consciousness.
"Arrgh!"
My head banged heavily it felt like I'd drift back to my unconscious state if care wasn't taken and that was the last thing I wanted, fortunately, I still remember passing out on the cool soft grass but paradoxically, the ground beneath me felt hard and icy cold, to the point I could feel it's iciness penetrating through my cloth and coming in contact with my bare skin.
My eyes finally fluttered open after I found my situation to be a bit queer, my vision's were blurry as I forced my eyelids to blink, but I could make out the ashes colored walls and the eerie darkness of the pathway, candlelight flickered dimly and I wondered if I was in some dream state, but it all felt too real.
I forced myself to get up gazing at the dimly lit hallway, still trying to take note of where I've suddenly found myself in.
