My mind went blank and the whole world seemed to have taken a stand still at Lu Kan's words.

My heart raced and those words constantly repeated itself in my head, or am I actually misinterpreting what he meant by that?

Lu Kan rested his back on the wall, keeping his playful gaze locked on Qui Shan who didn't stop glaring death beams at him.

That was, if stares could actually kill.

"He didn't tell you?" Lu Kan tsked almost in disappointment. "Brother, how long do you plan on keeping her in the dark?"

Qui Shan immediately silenced him before meeting my perplexed gaze and I hadn't even realized I had been holding back tears until I felt something wet drop from the brim of my eyes.

He was staring at me like someone who had a lot to say and I didn't want to believe what my mind was telling me.
