Kagome hadn't been this upset in a while. She still couldn't believe that she saw InuYasha with Kikyo. And they were kissing! She already knew that Kouga blamed Inuyasha because of what he said. Plus, she didn't want to hurt his feelings and make him feel second best like she did; Kouga was always so nice to her and worried about her. She needed him to be there right now. Kouga pulled her to him and gently swayed with her, "Kagome, what's wrong? What can I do? I wanna help you.".

She sank into him an thought about the situation for a minute. She was done with Inuyasha. Kouga was so great to her and she knew without a doubt he loved her. Stupid Inuyasha! She couldn't get the image of him and Kikyo out of her head. Then a beautiful idea hit her: she'd show that jerk! She knew he hated Kouga and he hated her being near Kouga even more.
