Ty pulled Sharon's hand and she fell onto his lap. She lay still wondering what he would do to her. Then she felt him lifting up her dress. She'd also taken the initiative and told everyone where to sit, placing Ty next to Sharon and Angel opposite Ty. Then the battle begun.

It was a delicious lunch full of roast beef, sandwiches and whatnot. Veronika had putten Iago in the seat next to her and then she started a conversation about the trees growing in the backyard and that Ty should have someone weed the entire yard as well. Ty listened with some hints of boredom. Just when he was thinking of having some fun he felt Angel's legs rub against his . She looked as if she was engrossed in conversation with Veronika but by the movements of her legs, he knew she was interested in something else, entirely. He frowned at her and turned to look at Sharon. Her attention was in her plate and she hadn't even engaged into the conversation.

Ethan! Why were they asking her about that monster? She cleared her throat and hoped that her voice would not fail her.

"I... Um.. Corrine was my foster mother's daughter and Ethan was her friend." Sharon faked a smile even though she felt horrible. She just wanted to curl up in bed and go to sleep. Ty frowned at her and she noticed that he looked quite disturbed about something. Sharon was getting more and more uncomfortable with Angel around.

Ty asked her another question, "where's Ethan?"

Sharon froze and felt tears rush to her eyes. What had he found out? She finally placed his tone of voice. It was the tone of voice Ethan would talk to her with before beating her mercilessly. She put a protective hand over her belly and she looked at the floor.

"I... I... I... Um... I don't.. fe... feel com... fortable with her... here" she stammered her way miserably through the sentence. Angel got up swiftly.

"I'll be leaving now, Sir, madam" she smiled courteously to them both and walked out of the sitting room. Iago barked at Sharon and she bent over to pick him up. She needed to hold something. She looked up at Ty and he repeated his question slowly and carefully as if he were talking to a wild animal.

"Sharon" he began, " where is Ethan?"

She sighed, she would have to trust him, they were married now right? She looked up at him and murmured incoherently. Realizing that she was talking to herself, she spoke more louder "He's buried in the woods".

He walked towards her to put his hands on her shoulder but as soon as he came closer, she paled and dropped the dog. She flung one hand up to protect her face and she splayed her other hand across her abdomen and she whimpered "please don't hurt me"

His heart simply shattered. With an oath, he pulled her to him and hugged her. Gradually, he felt her relax against him. Then all of a sudden he felt all her weight deposit in his hands.

Cursing faith he took her to their room and laid her on the bed and summoned a doctor

Sharon woke a few hours later. She rubbed her stomach and hoped her baby was fine and happy in there. Hers and Ty's baby. She looked around the room slowly and she noticed that she wasn't in her dress,she was in pajamas and she wasn't alone in the room. Ty was sitting in the chair opposite the bed and he looked horribly angry. She swallowed her spit and prepared for whatever would happen next. Then it came as a blow and left her speechless.

"You're pregnant again?" Ty asked softly

"Are you pregnant again?" He repeated slowly, dangerously. His eyes burning with a barely contained fire.

Sharon couldn't say anything. Her lips felt dry and cracking. Who turned up the A.C so high. She looked up at him through heavy eyes. She nodded slowly and waited for what he would say.

Ty's lips tightened imperceptibly and for a moment he could feel nothing at all. Then all of a sudden emotion came crashing down on him. He jumped up and rushed to the bedside.

"When the fvck were you going to tell me?" He yelled. Sharon would have said something but he was on a roll. "You're a fvcking idiot. You had damn pills to take. You only had one simple job" he was really angry and Sharon felt tears well in her eyes. " Don't you dare try to cry, did you get pregnant on purpose?"

She shook her head no and he grabbed her by her slender shoulders and she flinched. " By the time I get back, I want you and that thing out of my house. I'll arrange the annulment papers" he spun on his heel and stalked out of the room. She had to do something, it was his baby and she wouldn't let him abandon it. She got up shakily and ran after him. She caught him at the front doors and she hugged his back. "Please don't be mad at me. I don't want an annulment. We can do this, you wanted a baby before ". He sighed deeply and turned around to face her.

"Sharon" he started, his voice calmer now. " We can't have this baby. I can't protect you both". Shocked, she glared at him and prepared for what he was planning to suggest. "I'll have Doctor Becca get you an abortion pill". She stepped back and shook her head rapidly.

" No!" She shouted.

" Sharon..." He reached out a hand to touch her and she shifted away.

"No, I'm not aborting my baby. You don't know what it means to me" she murmured. She knew that she would protect this baby to her death.

Just then, Veronika who had been eavesdropping burst in, all smiles. Oblivious to the tension all around her.

"Well darling, congratulations" she beamed happily and started ranting about regular checkups and things for the baby. Sharon stopped her.

"Veronika, I need to talk to Ty. Alone" her voice has never been assertive. Where was this coming from?

Veronika, apparently understanding smiled another radiant smile and slipped out of the room. Before Sharon could say a word, Veronika came back with her car keys and announced that she was going out🚗

"Ty, what can't you protect us from?" She asked

"Why is Ethan buried in the woods behind my house?" He countered

Anger forced her to speak out loud " I killed him." He gaped at her but she continued speaking, she couldn't stop. " We dated for a few months, Corrine hated it. I didn't understand why at the time. He was abusive, he would hit me for every little mistake. He was cheating on me with Corrine but she loved him.she was having his baby. When I found out, I broke up with him."

Ty stood, pale and rooted to that spot. Sharon continued" He seemed to agree but then one night he came to my apartment, he wanted to talk. One thing led to another and he raped me" her voice was soft now. " He took my virginity that night. While he was asleep, I got a knife and stabbed him multiple times". She looked down at the ground. " I wasn't sure about what to do. I left him there for an entire day then decided to bury him. I got in my car, put him in and I drove to the woods and buried him. You know the rest". " C.. Corrine had an affair with him?" He stuttered. Shocked that he would be thinking about Corrine after what she told him, she nodded. He walked back inside and sat down heavily. He rubbed his face with his hands and sighed deeply.

"Corrine was my girlfriend. We were about the get married"Sharon vaguely remembered something about Corrine blabbing about a wedding. "Unfortunately,she died in a car accident. When I did a background check on you, I found that you both were related. I thought she was having my baby. Now I find out that it was another man's child" he looked so sad. She walked to him and hugged him.

" Ty.. I didn't know" she murmured.

"Corrine's mother is after you, she wants you dead. She sent people to kill you that day you lost the baby. That's why I can't let you have another one until she's out of the picture".

Sharon looked up at him and wrapped her hands around her tummy and she leaned against his chest. " I know she is. We can protect this baby."

" Oh Sharon" he murmured. He stood up and lifted her and took her to their room. He put her on the bed gently and he kissed her. After she'd fallen asleep, he went to work.
