Chapter 13 Extra

The girl which just appeared continued to bombard him with questions. "Do you know him? You hit him right?"

'Look at his face... He's got a brick in his hand.'

"You hit him! Back off, or I'll call the cops!" The stalker was pressured now. "No, i- it's.. Th- that's... Wait... That isn't.." - 'A girl!', he thought. 'A girl is talking to me...'

"I... I didn't do this..."

'Uh.. What do I say now?'

"Ah... Uh.. Ah..." - 'I can't think straight!' He felt nauseous. He approached the girl and tried to convince her otherwise of this rather obvious situation. "Wa- wait!! Listen to me! I'm the victim here!!"

She flinched and screamed at him. "Don't come near me!! Fuck off! I'll report you!"

"Wait...!"

She stared at him, side-eying. "You're the victim? Then why is he the one on the ground? Did he hit you first or-?!-" She glared at the boy lying on the ground. "Ah! Yes! That's right! I'm the victim!!" He tried playing it cool but it it'd be to no avail. The girl was shocked when she saw who it was. "Joon-Woo Choi?... It's Joon-Woo." Her gaze went from the guy to Joon-Woo and finally back to him. "There's no way he'd hit you. Who the hell are you?" she looked at him with cold eyes.

'Fuck! She knows himm!!' He just stood there as the girl took care of Joon-Woo who was still on the ground.

"..!", "...!"

'Ow... My head hurts...'

"Joon-Woo!"

"Joon-Woo Choi!"

'What's going on? Who's calling my name?'

He managed to open his eyes.

"Are you ok?! Get up!"

'Who? What's going on?.. Did she save me?'

The stalker took the initiative and bolted. "Hey!" the girl shouted. "Where are you going?!" - "That asshole! You fucking gangster! Stop! You're dead if I catch you!!" He was already gone. "Fuck!"

"Don't report it, please. Thank you for helping.. But please don't call the cops." He still laid there, not having moved an inch. 'If she reports him, Seung Ah might get dragged into it... I can't let that happen.'

"What? What the fuck are you saying! Don't you want to get him? Aren't you mad?"

'Even if I go after him, there's nothing I can do.' "No, it's ok. He'll have learned his lesson now. Now he'll realize how pathetic he's been."

She didn't really understand what the hell Joon-Woo was blabbering about. "What the hell are you saying? It's ok to let that asshole go?"

"Yes. Let him go."

'It's done... I've done what I can..'

"Ugh. Fine. But why are you talking in a formal manner?"

"What? I've never met you before. Of course I'm talking formally." Finally, 'the rain stopped.'

'It's warm..' Joon-Woo put his hand on his injured face.

She just stared at him. "Hm..."

'Anyway, who is this girl?'

He got up slowly, struggling.

"Anyway, thanks alot for helping. I don't know how to repay you."

Seemingly upset, she started walking away. "It's okay. You wouldn't remember it anyway."

"Huh? What do you mean?" He watched her go. 'She's just going to leave? Oh well. At least... It's over..'

Joon-Woo had his injuries treated later at the hospital. Luckily for him, it was nothing too serious. He had bandages on for the whole day. '...And like that.. A new week started.'

Joon-Woo had band aids all over his face. He sat in the classroom, yawning. 'Everything was the same... Only one thing bothered me. Even though I broke his phone he could still sync his contacts. I can't be too sure that bastard won't be back. I just hope he's learned his lesson.'

Dae Hyun was talking to Seung Ah in the front. "Seung Ah, you were drooling in your sleep at the movies yesterday, haha!" - "Hey! I told you I didn't get enough sleep. Haha!"

'But...'

"He he! I'm going to kill you if you keep talking about that!" she said in a joking manner.

'Just seeing her feeling better is worth it..'

"But it was so loud! How did you manage to sleep? Haha!"

"Oh shut it, Dae Hyun!"

'What a relief...'

Dae Hyun was surprised when he saw Joon-Woo's face. "Joon-Woo! What's up with your face?" Seung Ah turned around. "Omg Joon-Woo! What happened to your eyes?"

'What? Seung Ah is worried about me!'

"Hey, Dae Hyun. As Class Rep, aren't you supposed to know what happened?" - "Well, I thought he had a cold or something!" Joon-Woo's face lit up. 'They're... Worrying about me! I'm glad..'

"Oh, this!" He started. "I fell when I was wal-" Tae Yang came from behind and hit the back of Joon-Woo's head with his palm. "Hey you fucker! I heard you stood them up yesterday! You're fucking trash man. You shouldn't have done that. Anyway switch seats with me so I can talk to Yang-" His grin disappeared. "... What the? This bastard- What happened to you?" he asked as he saw Joon-Woo's face. "Are you a fucking pirate now? You look like you got used as a punching bag!"

'Ugh, this asshole!'

"Tae Yang!!" It was Dae Hyun. "Hey, don't smack him when he's already hurt. Stop fighting guys! C'mon." Coming closer to both of them he continued talking. "You got in a lot of trouble last time after the club teacher told our homeroom teacher." He was making fun of Tae Yang with an undertone in his voice. "The teacher won't let you off easy if you get in trouble again."

"Oh, yeah!" Tae Yang smirked. "I didn't see he was hurt. I went too far, ha ha! I'm sorry."

"But... Are you defending this bastard?" Glaring at Tae Yang, Dae Hyun went back to smiling. "Oh, why are you asking? Wow, I feel hurt, haha." - "Hurt my ass."

'Ahh! What's up with this atmosphere? It's so tense!'

Dae Hyun was taller than Tae Yang and put his hand on his shoulder, looking him the eyes. "Don't be so mean all the time. I'm saying this for your own good."

"Seriously? You have no idea what kind of a fucker Joon-Woo Choi is! Meh! It seems like something you'd do though. Forget this. Let's play soccer during lunch." - "Sure, haha." Tae Yang then left. "Oh, one more thing. You're going to get stabbed in the back by that jerk one day."

Dae Hyun waved him off. "Yes, I'm sure I will. Haha."

'What? Stabbed in the back? What is that fucker talking about?' Joon-Woo was clueless about what he apparently had done in the past. "You ok?" Class Rep asked. "Man, why are you always the one getting hurt?"

"... I don't know." 'What do you mean why? It's all because of that bastard Tae Yang.'

Seung Ah came forward from behind Dae Hyun. "Are you okay? He didn't beat you did he?" 'Oh! Seung Ah!'

"Oh.. I just smashed into something when I fell." Dae Hyun and Seung Ah, they both were worried about him. "But damn, it looks much worse than a fall." Dae Hyun stated. Seung Ah on the other hand was more worried about his eye.

'Everyone... is trying to help me..'

"Haha! No way, then he'd be at the hospital right now." - "But still! His eye looks so swollen."

Joon-Woo wasn't expecting this at all. '.. They're not just leaving me on the sidelines...'

"Oh.. Yeah.. I'm ok!" he said happily. "See! He's fine, haha." - "Ugh. Can't I worry?!"

'But I won't become friends like you guys. I'm not as quick-witted or bright or funny as you are. I'm awkward and uneasy. I'm not main character worthy like you guys.'

Joon-Woo walked home in the afternoon when school was over. 'There's one last thing I can do.'

[Sorry for the late reply. What you said helped me a lot. The stalker seems to have given up. It's still weird, but the guy I'm sort of seeing is keeping me company so I'm feeling a lot better.]

[Thank you. Really.]

'She read the messages! I'm real glad.'

'I guess the Class Rep really did help her.' He stared at his phone. 'Yeah... This is it for me.'

*[See? I told you so. What a relief! Yeah everything will be fine.]

*[You shouldn't use Random Chat anymore.]

'I won't text her anymore.'

*[It was fun talking with you. Take care.]

'It was a fleeting moment, but it was fun.'

[No, don't delete me.]

*[?? Are you crazy? Why would you keep Random Chat after something like this?]

[I don't want to use Random Chat.]

*[??]

[I'm going to meet you in real life! I want to become friends.]

Joon-Woo was flabbergasted. This was something he forgot could even happen.

'WHAT?!'
