The Count clenched his fist as he looked at Ashley, awaiting his response.

'This woman… Ever since the trial, she won the favor of the nobles and commoners. Not even Count Lottway can hold her down. I should be careful when dealing with her,' He thought.

He faced the man and said, "I apologize for what my servant has done to you and your family. I will compensate you for the damages on your carriage and won't charge you."

Then he looked at Ashley, "I hope that's fine now, Your Highness."

Ashley gave him a smile, "Yes, Count Trainor, and I hope you won't break your promise. I have many witnesses here to testify of your promise to this man and his family."

The Count glared at her, "Are you saying I'm the one who breaks a promise?"
