Water Spirit

"What is it?" Jordis asked casually.

The young man answered, "It's a Water Elemental Spirit!"

Roran was intrigued. He looked around and found it. The Water Elemental Spirit was blue, just like water. It was constantly changing shape. One moment it is a fairy with wings, the other a hideous beast.

"It's nothing," Jordis replied. He unsheathed his sword, which hung on his belt. He sliced the air in front of him, then muttering, "Ar Sola Bistil."

Out of thin air, quite literally, a large blade of air emerged and then advanced towards the spirit at lightning speed. Then the sunlight in front of them seemed to coagulate, forming another blade, which instantly shot forwards.

Both had hit the spirit at the same time. The wind first sliced and blew the spirit into pieces, and then the sunlight instantly evaporated everything. A small object fell to the floor where the spirit once was.

"That's it. Roran, go pick up the stone on the ground. You, whoever you are, go tell your headmaster to send more patrols."

The young man ran away, while Roran, stupefied, stood there.

"What are you waiting for, Roran?"

Roran started, and then instantly rushed to grab the stone. He came back in less than three seconds.

"Good. Let me tell you what this is. This is a Water Elemental Stone. If you have some sort of Magical Crystal with the Ice or Water element, it can potentially strengthen and charge it."

Roran glanced at his sword. He showed it to Jordis.

"Huh. Where did you get this from? This crystal is dual elemental, both Wind and Ice. The blade is made of Uridithium, the best conductor of Mana out there. The hilt is made of hide from the Nemean Lion, which has only been hunted down thrice. Even the wood on the hilt is special. It is oak, but a Master Pyromancer has infused it with the element of Fire so the unstoppable chill from the Crystal can be neutralized," Jordis looked at the sword with an expert eye, "However, that's not the point. The Water Elemental Stone is compatible. All you have to do is lightly tap the stone against the crystal, and it will be gone in a heartbeat."

Roran did as he was told. The stone melted into the crystal, and instantly, Roran felt his own Mana regeneration speed up, while the Mana surplus inside the crystal is increased into a whopping one tenth of the total capacity.

"Not bad," Jordis turned, and then beckoned Roran to follow him, "Follow me and then we'll get to the Royal Academy."

Roran smiled and then started walking next to Jordis, in a somewhat companiable silence.
