Aftermath (Part 1)

The two witches with her kept still for what seemed like eternity. They truly just plan to wait for something to happen. Thinking of this Silent Disaster has had enough and decided to break the silence.

"Nothing is happening. Your allies are getting slaughtered outside and Hackzord would have probably retreated already. Do you plan to wait here forever?"

The blue eyed witch Anna remained calm while she answered the High ranking Demon "We have no choice but to wait now. I believe in Roland I know he will succeed"

The light haired witch named Nightingale was more guarded towards Serrakas "If we fail our fate is sealed anyway"

Silent Disaster was about to call for Hackzord when she suddenly felt a hovering sensation. Blinding light entered her vision. She scanned the surroundings and was on full alert. She was shocked and confused to see that she has returned to the surface. Soldiers were looking at her direction in bewilderment for her sudden appearance.

She heard heavy footsteps walking towards her so she turned to look at the approaching figure and was surprised to see a battle worn Hackzord.

"You..are still here? I thought you would have retreated by now?" Serrakas inquired

"I would have if five more minutes have past. It was a losing battle the humans wouldn't have lasted much longer"

"You decided to stay?" Serrakas gave Hackzord a look of confusion

"Nevermind that" Hackzord brushed of the subject "How come you are here? What happened down there?"

Serrakas looked at Hackzord and judging from his expression she could tell that he understood that she did not know exactly what happened herself.

Hackzord sighed. "At least the Sky Sea Realm is gone now. Look at their lifeless corpses. They suddenly collapsed like their strings have been severed. I recon even the ones deep in Blackstone region must have fallen. The King and the others must be confused by what has happened"

"We can inform the King later I doubt they would welcome us willingly but they will be eager to learn what has transpired here. This will at least give us an audience with the King and finally enlighten the others of our reason" Serrakas stated but Hackzord can tell by her demeanor that this was not the most pressing matter for her. She was troubled by something else.

Hackzord knew all too well that it must be Valkries as the condition of the human King is not known. Therefore Valkries wellbeing was also uncertain.

While Silent Disaster was lost in thought a sudden light appeared by her side. It was the light haired witch Nightingale.

"What happened! Where is your King? Where have you been?" She immediately pressed her for answers.

"Calm down I am here to explain what we discussed to you and the others. Anna is now back in the command center arranging a meeting. You are invited to join to discuss the future of our races" Nightingale explained hurriedly seeing as the two Demons were agitated.

Silent Disaster grumbled under her helm. She was unsatisfied with the delay of information. She knew this meeting would last a while and she wanted to know the answer now but she somehow understood from the witches contained excitement that the king was probably alive. She calmed herself and told Hackzord to transport everyone back to the cruiser.

Serrakas stayed standing at the side of the meeting room. She was acting patiently for the human gathering to start their discussion. She could see from the attendees that this was a major event as all high ranking officials of the humans was present including the Queen the witch with the blue eyes.

She mused that if this was years ago this would have been a golden opportunity to be able to gather all the human leaders in one place and to be within meters from them. She ended the thought when the Queen took out something and placed it on the table. She and Hackzord who was standing next to her was surprised.

The Queen laid the humans legacy shard right on the table. In clear view of their previously sworn enemy the Demons.

Serrakas waited for the reason for this and she scanned the looks the God Punishment Witches gave her. They were on guard on what she might do next. Although she currently did not plan to do anything rash she could not deny that the thought of grabbing the legacy shard and running away with the help of Hackzord did cross her mind.

"The legacy shards are now useless. Roland has deactivated them completely therefore the Battle of Divine Will is now over" The Queen proclaimed

The humans were ecstatic with the news some of them exclaiming in joy and hugging others. Some remained seated with a slight smile and a look of relief on their faces.

The Gods Punishment Witches looks on the other hand were dumbfounded expressions. A look of disbelief of what they had just heard. Although the scene of the others shouting in joy and commending each other reinforced the idea that what they had just heard was indeed true. After some time, they too joined in the celebration. Embracing each other relishing the end of the thousand-year war.

Serrakas thought that her expression right now must be closer to the Gods Punishment Witches. As she also participated in this war for as long as she can remember and to see its end brought about certain emotions that she couldn't describe. Her thoughts were interrupted when the Queen spoke once again.

She explained what happened according to Roland. The battle he had with the Custodian and the meaning behind the Battle of Divine Will. What Roland had acquired after the resignation of the previous Custodian and his Instructions on what should happen next.

"It is amazing what brother has done" Tilly mumbled under her breath but the room was now quiet from listening so everyone heard what the princess had said.

"Truly, His Majesty has made true on every single one of his promise. Me and my sisters will forever be under his service" the Gods Punishment Witch Zooey exclaimed.

Anna saw a slight tinge of sadness from the words of Zooey she knew that with Roland gone their connection to the Dream World was now over and they would not be able to experience anything again. Although Roland has a message for them she decided to hold on to it for now as there were more to say.

"Neverwinter shall continue to be the central city of the Kingdom of Graycastle. He said we should continue to develop the Fertile Plains and remove the remaining traces of the war. The first army shall lead the way in exploring the region and Neverwinter citizens and its allies shall claim the land accordingly."

"Understood Your Majesty" replied Iron Axe the commander of the First Army

Anna sighed she knew that the next agenda was regarding the Demons. She hesitated for a second

"Silent Disaster and Hackzord, Without your contributions Neverwinter would have had a much more difficult time. Roland said that what Valkries and you guys have done shall not be forgotten and that he would fulfill his promise"

Hackzord and Serrakas remained silent and continued listening with anticipation

"Roland would like to offer your race your very own Neverwinter. No other race will threaten your home. You shall find no competition for land and resources would be abundant for everyone" Anna paused "I hope this would be satisfactory to you? For everything you have contributed towards Greycastle"

"What about Valkries?" Serrakas couldn't help but ask.

"I believe she will be involved in the development of your new paradise. Although this may take some time with the Battle of Divine Will finally being over I think we have all the time in the world" Anna showed a peaceful smile towards the two Demons.

Of the two Hackzord felt relieved the most because he now knew that the human King would keep his promise. Hackzord kept feeling anxious about the future he couldn't help visualizing that the King would rather wipe his race off the face of the world and be done with them. Instead he kept his word. This got rid of most of the concern Hackzord has. Now he was only considering what to tell his King so they would not be killed on sight.
