Odin's Thoughts

After absorbing the bodies he had gotten Cul Headed back to Asgard, as Iris and Aion when to his realm to start creating more members of their race.

Cul had just come back to get Bard and his mother then head back to his realm, he had no intention of helping Asgard in the war anymore, his objectives had been met.

His name was spread, increasing the fear towards him, and he had already created his race, for all he cared now Asgard could fight its own battles.

Arriving on Asgard Cul headed straight for the Palace, it seems Odin had just come back from the battlefield he was on.

As he approached the Palace a guard approached him and informed him that Odin requested his presence in the throne room.

Cul was going to ignore the guard, but seeing as he would be leaving he when to see what Odin wanted.

In the throne room, Odin was currently looking at the situation developing in the nine realms.

Many forces are taking this opportunity to rise up against Asgard, and even with his power, he couldn't be in more than one place at once.

He knew Asgard had powerful warriors but that only accounted for those in the middle level of power, Asgard only had three fighters who could actually fight threats on the level of Laufey or the other rulers of the races they faced.

To make matters worst, Odin knew bard wasn't loyal to him, no it was very clear the new God of the sky was loyal to Cul.

He made no attempts to hide this fact, As he rushed into battle he never battled in his name, he always shouted ' for the original serpent!!' before he proceeded to decimate any battlefield he was placed on.

This fact has caused problems for Odin's rule, it didn't help that he was being blamed for the death of Bor the previous ruler, and with the populus knowing Cul's hand in saving Bor from a humiliating death, along with the fact they knew Cul was the first choice for the new king.

There were murmurs from those who didn't think he deserved his current position.

Normally his performance in the war would have killed these voices, but Cul's performance had far out shadowed him.

From fighting the frost giants on his own to the recent destruction of the dark elves, the voices were growing stronger.

Odin knew the only reason that there hasn't been anything more is that they were in the middle of a war and the people cared too much about Asgard to start a fight on the inside that would do nothing but weaken them.

Right now Odin desperately needed the situation to change, Cul could easily end the war if his earlier performance was anything to go by, along with the fact he knew his brother had his own forces that he hadn't used.

He knew Cul could end the War but refused to do so, and if anything Odin was thankful for this fact.

Yes Odin was Thankful Cul hadn't ended the war himself.

If Cul had taken the incentive to end the war, Odin was sure all the people of Asgard would be calling for Cul to take the throne, Once the war was still going on Odin knew he had a chance to prove himself.

If anything Odin wanted Cul to leave Asgard more than ever, but Cul was a good backup plan in case anything happened, Odin had two other options one being to make an alliance with the Vanir.

But Odin knew making this alliance would require either him or the ruler of the Vanir to let go of their pride, and based on the current situation it would be him, as Asgard was the one that needed the help.

The thought of asking Cul for more help ever even crossed his mind, even if it did he didn't think Cul would help him.

The second was to simply become even more powerful than he was right now, and that was easy to accomplish once he knew what to do.

The method he made in mind would require something in exchange but it would be worth it.

Cul entered the throne room to see his brother on the throne in deep thought, having no time to waste to wait until he was finished, Cul cough drawing his attention.

Cough!!

Odin lifts his head as he finally notices Cul in the room.

"Cul, I must thank you for your contributions to Asgard this time." says Odin

"Save your breath, Odin, you will get your wish I'm leaving do your best to find some way to survive the situation you found yourself in."

"I know not what you speak of brother, but if you want to leave I won't stop you, you are welcomed to return to Asgard anytime." says Odin

Hearing Odin Cul wasn't surprised, as he turned and begone to leave the room.

Cul honestly once thought that the day he decided to leave Asgard it would end up with a battle between him and Odin that would become their last fight, but the situation has changed.

Odin actually wanted him gone, this was the best outcome for Odin at least.

If he had actually tried to fight Cul, he might not have been left alive after.

"Try to survive as long as you can Odin, things are going to become tough on you for a while." this was the last thing Cul said as he left the room.
