Stats & How They Scale (AKA Info-Dump)

This chapter is going to be a quick explanation for the readers (and myself) on how a player's stats will effect their character and a few other explanations to clear up some complicated "game mechanics" that I believe could be confusing.

STR or Strength

This refers to the vessel or the body, a player's body is split into two planes. The physical plane, and the mana plane. Upgrading the strength 'stat' will increase the strength and sturdiness of the vessel on the physical plane. If your strength is low the vessel on the physical plane will not be able to contain large amount of mana transferred from the mana plane, causing the vessel or body to explode. It is strongly recommended to have a strong vessel if using large amounts of mana that is contained in the physical body, an example of this would be Aura.

AURA or Aura

Aura is the physical manifestation of mana in melee classes when a player's STR and MYSTIC stat reaches the minimum requirement, along with a weapon proficiency of at least Master-Rank. This 'stat' is hidden until unlocked, it increases through active usage of aura, either through body reinforcement or weapon reinforcement. It also increase from using Aura Skills.

MYSTIC or Mystic

This stat refers to the vessel in the mana plane. If the MYSTIC stat is not high enough then your feeble mana vessel will be crushed by your overwhelming physical vessel resulting in a serious combat decrease. An increased Mystic stat also has an effect on how smooth mana flows through your body. A better Mystic stat will make your previous flow of mana feel like syrup. Poor flow directly effects casting speed of skills and spells.

AGI or Agility

This stat directly effects a few things, such as movement speed, attack speed and evasion chance. This stat is more important for Ranged classes such as Bowman and Gunsman, but it can also effect Assassin style classes and their combat.

COG/WIS or Cognitive/Wisdom

This is directly related to how fast your can think, your response time, how much information you can handle before it starts to become a problem. I personally believe that a new player will not be able to manage MP (Mana Points) and STM (Stamina), while fighting and paying attention to 4-5 enemies at the same time. There is just too much to pay attention to. This 'stat' will improve your ability to preform these actions without strain. It can also effect your vision, it can improve your ability to see details, to track fast moving objects. It is also possible to magnify your vision to increase the distance you can see.

PROF or Proficiencies

Everything has proficiencies. Using any item will increase your proficiency with it. There is obviously categories meaning all swords fall under the Sword category, etc. There is proficiencies attached blacksmithing (increases success rate, and item rarity), alchemy (increases success rate, and item rarity), cooking (increases additional buff rate, and the taste of the dish), and more. For skills and spells, when the proficiency reaches 100% the skill will 'evolve', this improves many aspects to the skill and spell such as Damage, Critical Strike Chance, Area of Attack, Skill Cooldown, Stamina Cost, Mana Cost, Mental Strain, and more. The skill or spell could also completely change into something totally different. If your Fireball Spell, reached 100% PROF, it could evolve depending on how you used it in fights. Did you use it for Area of Attack, lighting the enemy on fire, a distraction. These are all factors that determine how your skill or spell can evolve.

A love interest? Probably, but I'm not confident in my Romance skills, so I think I'll abstain from it for a while, and just let the plot progress.
