The coast guard boat approached very cautiously to the junk that was drifting in the middle of the sea.
It was reported by an oil tanker two days before...Then a vessel full of Howo trucks which from Hong Kong was moving to Myanmar...The junk was on its steerage line and did not answer when called.
The policemen boarded...No one on deck...Very carefully they were taking up positions. It was a very strange junk, with no doors on the inside...no rudder...the sails were certainly not sails, they looked like a flexible metallic cloth. And even though there were strong waves, the junk was as stable as the floor of the town hall.
Since they couldn't get inside, they did the only possible thing...towed it to Hong Kong harbor.
Three days later Dr. Yang Ching was standing, contemplating the black junk.
