"Calm down, how could I-your husband-get hurt?"-Warren said, jokingly. Eli only smiled in response, and Nila blushed when she heard Warren call himself her husband, which was not surprising-she still hadn't overcome the last stage, but still nodded and stopped crying.
Warren nodded when the girls calmed down and said- "Okay, now I'll take you to a place!"- and gave the artifact the order to move them inside.
"Master, are you back?"-A voice immediately rang out, and Kate, ignoring the girls, threw her arms around Warren's neck.
"Yes, honey, I'm back!" -said Warren to this lonely girl.
"Where are we?"- asked Eli.
"We are inside a spatial artifact!"- he replied.
Nila was not very interested in the surroundings, she was more attracted to the girl who suddenly rushed at Warren and she threw a hostile look and asked- " Master?"- although she knew that she would not be the only woman with her only man, but it is one thing when it is Eli, who was before her, and quite another when a new rival appeared.
The girl's hostile gaze did not escape Warren and he turned to her with the words- "Nila, you should not be so hostile."- and when he saw that although the girl was still a little angry, but bowed her head, indicating that she understood the mistake, nodded and introduced Kate to the other two girls- " This is Kate, she is the Spirit of the Artifact and your sister."
Nila only snorted coldly in response, she doubted herself, not yet crossed the last line with her lover, and the new rival worried her. Eli took everything much easier, remembering Warren's promise and their quarrel, and smiled at her sister, who came from nowhere in 5 minutes, and said- "My name is Eli! Let's be good sisters!"
Kate, who by this point had already pulled away from Warren, said- " Sisters?"- while tilting his head to the side, as if trying to understand what happened. Then she looked at Warren, who just smiled back at her.
"Sisters...Kate muttered under her breath, and then looked back at Eli, now with tears in her eyes, but smiling, and said, haltingly, and sobbing-"I-I… Are you ... are you ready to accept me as a sister?"
Eli nodded gravely and walked over to Kate, her arms outstretched to hug and comfort the girl, feeling somehow sorry for her and close to her. Kate stood frozen in place and accepted the embrace. The girl was touched, because before that her social ties were limited only to her father, whom she rarely saw, and now she has a man who accepts her, and even sisters.
"I, I ... Uwaaa!"-she burst into tears of joy at this unexpected good fortune. Seeing Kate in such a position, even Nila began to feel for her.
It took a while for Kate to emotionally recover, seeing everyone smile. Nila and Eli began to survey their surroundings. Eli, who was still a child at heart, admired the local beauty, while Nila, although younger than her dragon sister, was much more mature in many aspects and the environment did not have the same effect on her.
"Warren, can you tell us what happened to you?"- Nila asked the boy, Eli pricked up her ears, and Warren slowly explained what had happened to him since entering that gate.
Warren then turned to Kate and waved the two girls to follow them- " Okay, let's go back to our sheep, let's go see what's in the pagoda."-she nodded and, like a good hostess, led them to the pagoda, along the stone-paved road, among the lush plants on the sides of the path.
As they got closer to the pagoda, Warren got a better look at it. The pagoda was made of some dark red stone, and it gave the impression that it was carved from a single piece of this very stone.
Kate snapped her fingers inside and the door magically opened, he stood, bowed slightly and made inside the inviting gesture a hand, as do some butlers, girl's proposal used, and Warren turned to the spirit-girl-"Should I remind you that you are not a servant?"
"Master, I, as a Spirit Artifact, are required to serve master and obeying his will!"-again she said.
"My will, you say? Then listen to my will: Stop acting like a servant and call me by my first name-Warren."
"But..." -the girl wanted to object, but the guy interrupted her - " This is my will, and you must obey my will."
"Okay."-the girl obeyed, and they continued on their way. The first floor of the pagoda they entered greeted them with an extremely rich setting, in the center was a circular space with various areas that included: the library that took up the most space, the alchemy lab, secluded cultivation areas, places of union with the elements, the blacksmith shop, and more. They were in a place surrounding this circular space, on a raised platform surrounded by a railing, with many doors, seeing them, Warren turned to Kate- " And where do these doors lead?"
"To the living quarters."-the girl replied very succinctly.
The boy nodded, indicating that he understood. After a few steps, he leaned on the railing and sighed as he looked around his new domain and noticed a spiral staircase in the center of the room that led down somewhere, this time he did not ask Kate for an explanation, but simply went there and did not call the girls who had already found something to do.
Along the way, he surveyed his surroundings, and even grabbed a few books from the vast library, which turned out to be simple novels and other literature for mortals.
When he reached the stairs, he sighed and turned around to see what the others were doing, but he didn't see them behind the countless shelves and partitions-"Well, I guess they won't lose me!"-he thought, and started down the stairs. The walls around it were inlaid with some sort of glowing stones that emitted a soft yellow-red light.
The descent was not long, and in a few moments he found himself in a spacious room, which, nevertheless, was smaller than the space of the first floor and was lit by the same inlaid stones. From the stairs in 8 directions were roads made of some strange material, whatever it was, but the roads were strikingly smooth, there was not a single hillock or pit. These roads led to the walls.
Warren chose a road at random and wandered along it, along the way he saw nothing, only some randomly planted plants that could apparently live in the conditions of this artificial light.
When he came within a few hundred meters of the walls, sounds began to come from the walls, some screams and sounds of hitting metal. The boy continued on his way. Coming closer to the wall, the guy saw the source of the noise, or rather the sources. All along the wall were hundreds, if not thousands, of cells that looked like prisoners ' cells. These cameras were not lit, so to get a better look, the guy came up at point-blank range. And froze.
In the cell he approached was a creature such as even he had never seen before. The creature had long black fur that stood on end like needles, with a dozen yellow eyes all over its body, even on its paws, which looked disproportionately large compared to its rather small body. The creature at the sight of the guy began to emit a threatening aura, lightning flew in all directions, and it rushed to the barrier that separated the creature from the guy. The barrier created a burst of energy and threw the creature into the opposite wall, spattering blood along the way.
"What the hell?!"-the guy exclaimed into the void.
