Prinsipe Daisuke POV
I am looking at my watch, checking the time. It's almost midnight but I am still here in the central park in the city. For almost three months since the attack, how many times did I come here? Hoping against hope to take a glimpse of the beautiful girl I met that day. But no luck at all, because I haven't seen her since then. I even hired an investigator to locate her but no result. It seems like she disappeared after that day.
"Shandra Bethany Davies, where the hell are you?" I whispered. I was able to find out her full name and do a background check. She's the youngest child of the business magnate, Ethan Arshone Davies of McArden Empire. The main base of the company is in Iceland, but she was not there. The Davies's led a very private life, so, I only got limited information about her. The siblings are seldom shown in public and if they were there were no photos.
When the clock strikes twelve midnight I decided to walk back to the hotel where I stayed. Another day passed that I haven't seen the girl the got my interest. Since I encountered her, I've been anticipating every day to see her again.
"Nothing happened again," Captain Hitane, my personal guard said when I came in. "Escaping the palace to find her has been for naught, Prince, Daisuke. You're already doing this for almost three months but still, there's no news about her, she never showed up. I think it's time to give up, don't you think?"
I just look at him. He has a point but I can't give up, I still believe that I will find Shandra. "Just like you said, Capt., it's just a few months that passed. Don't you think it's too early to give just like that? I still believe that will find her and I won't give up no matter what," I refuted.
He sigh, "You mentioned that someone help her that day. Did you discover their relationship? Their connection?"
"Shandra said that the guy she introduced as Chase is a friend. Based on the information that I received, they are indeed friends. He is Chase Rayon Scamper, he lives in the Megacity and currently taking up Civil Engineering in CAU, the university that is owned by the Daichi Kingdom. They were friends and classmates before Shandra moves somewhere. A place that no one from her friends knows where," I answered shrugging my shoulder. That's all the information I got from Megacity, where Shandra use to live, nothing else.
"Hmm, did you notice, my prince, that it seems this girl that you looking for has a lot of secrets?" Capt. Hitane said while holding his chin and thinking. "Who is really this girl? What kind of person is she?"
"I just saw her once but I can definitely say that she is no ordinary or simple girl. That's why I am fascinated by her," I said with a smile and drop myself in my bed.
The captain just shook his head with what I said. "You should take a rest now, my prince. We will be leaving to the Imperial Palace early tomorrow," he said while getting up from his seat. "I don't want to be punished too when your father, the Emperor will punish you for leaving without permission."
I stood up and tapped his shoulder, "If ever I will be punished, you should too captain, since you did not stop me." I grinned at him before walking to the bathroom, to freshen up.

I ran as fast as I can away from the imperial guards whom I'd done mischief, and jump into a small wall near the Palace Garden. I was about to leave when the guards passed by but I notice the crown prince staring at nothing in particular, seems like he is in deep thinking. Instead of finding a perfect place to hide from the guards, I walk towards the crown prince.
"Your Highness, if you don't mind, may I ask what are you thinking?" I ask while taking a seat beside him. "I noticed that you've been in deep thought since you came from the event that you attended outside the palace."
He heaves a deep sigh, "I'm not sure your if my eyes were just playing with me but I think I saw her that day, Hideki," he said without looking at me.
"You mean her?" I ask in surprise. What he's saying seems impossible.
"Yes, but I am not sure if she is really the one that I saw. There's no reason to see her here in Japan, you know that" he answered, confusion is written on his face.
"Who knows, she might be on vacation in Japan and you saw her by chance," I replied, shrugging my shoulder.
"It can be," he said nodding his head in approval, "but --" he stopped, and did not continue what he want to say.
"But?" I pressed, wondering.
He did not reply. I shook my head in his silence, he doesn't want to continue talking about her.
"Let's not talk about her, still nothing will change if we," he said after a while and turned to me. "I noticed that you are often gone here in the palace, Hideki. May I know what you are doing? Are you busy with something?" he asks.
I grinned, "same as what you are preoccupied, Your Highness."
His furrows and give me an irritated look, "what?"
"If you are busy thinking the woman you wanted to see, I am busy looking for the girl I am hoping to know better," I smiled at him.
He nodded his head, "Do I know this girl you're talking about?"
"I don't think so, Your Highness. I met her when we were outside the palace, that time you attended the event while I was out for leisure," I answered. "That time when the city was attacked."
"You are that interested in a girl that you just met once and know for just a short period?" he raised his brows to me.
I just give him a wide smile, "Can you blame me if I was fascinated by her beauty? She is not the same as the girls that we often met, she is way too different." He shook his head at what I said but I just laugh at him.
"Does she have a name? This girl that you are interested with," he asks, the corner of his lips twitching for a smirk.
"Shandra Bethany Davies, beautiful name, isn't it?" I proudly said.
"Yeah, but it's too modern and it will not suits here in the Palace," he said in a disapproving tone.
I laugh heartily with the evident disapproval in his voice, "That's easy, your highness, you don't have to worry." I tapped his shoulder, "rest assured that I will do everything to find her and bring her here in the palace."
He stood up and tap my shoulder too, "Wish you luck, brother. Follow your heart desire," he seriously said, "while you are still free to do what you want. Not like me," his last words are just a whisper but I still catch it even though he already walks away. I am quite sad for him as he is not free to choose the woman he loves. But I am also thankful that he is the heir and not me, as I have the freedom to be with the girl I will choose to spend the rest of my life with.
