Sick

Crown Prince Daiki POV

I slowly open my eyes, for almost three months I never did anything but think that day. The day I got to glimpse of her again. Since then, whenever I did nothing and I'm not busy, she will occupy my mind, just like today.

I sigh and stood up when I remember something. I get the small box placed in the corner of my office and go back to my seat. I opened it and pick up the small round paper I saw and place it in front of me. I slowly read the words written on the small paper.

Dark Circle Organization is at your back, Prince Daiki.

I stared at it for a while and summon Captain Kizu inside. He immediately came in and ask what I need. "Is there any news about the thing that I told? Did you get any information where this note came from?" I asked with a knotted forehead lifting the small note for him. He saw and read it a few times too.

"Not yet, Your Highness," he answered shaking his head, "but I receive a report that details will be coming the next day."

"That's good to hear," I lean to my chair still looking at him. "Hoping that the information we receive will be enough," I said putting my hands at the back of my head. "Thank you, Captain, you may now leave." I return the small note inside the box and place it again at the corner, behind and below the display stuff so that no one will notice it. When I look up, I saw the captain still standing in front of my table. I give him a questioning look, "Is there anything else you want to say, Captain?"

He clears his throat and speaks, "My apologies, your highness, but I am just worried," he said.

"About what?" I pressed when he did not continue.

"It's about the princess, I mean Princess Yuki," he sighs. "I notice that she hasn't come out from her house these past days and it seems like something is going on. I have a bad feeling about this, your highness, I am quite worried that there is something wrong with her."

I thought about what he said. He's right, it did not bother me but I also notice that I haven't seen the princess in the palace garden for quite some time now. Out of all candidates, she is the only one that you can always see going around the palace. Almost every day you can see her taking a walk, especially in the Palace Garden, but I haven't seen her when I came there during the morning or in the afternoon.

I stood up from my seat, "I'll visit the princess," I said walking towards the door without waiting for Captain Kizu's response. They immediately followed when proceed to the Princess's house in a hurry. Her attendants welcome me but her assistant and her personal guard are not around and can't be seen.

"Welcome, your highness," the attendants bowed and greeted me but from the corner of my eyes, I saw one of the attendants secretly going to the princess's room.

"Is the princess here?" I ask, not minding what I noticed, "I want to talk to her."

"Our apologies, your highness," the chief of her attendants stands in front of me slightly bowing, "the princess is not feeling well. I'm afraid she will not be able to face you."

My brow furrows with what I heard, the princess is sick? "Since when that the princess is sick?" I ask in a hard tone. "Did the doctor already check on her?"

"Your Highness," Shuji called my attention before the chief attendant can answer me. He come close and bowed and nod to the chief attendant for her to leave. "There is nothing to worry about the princess, your highness, the doctor already checked on her and she is currently resting in her room," Shuji said.

"I want to see her," I said after hearing Shuji. I just can't go back without seeing myself if she is indeed doing okay. "You can't stop me, Shuji," I raise my hand and Captian Kizu stops him when he was about to prevent me.

I entered the room as carefully as possible, I don't want to disturb her as she is resting or wake her up in case she is asleep. I saw her lying down in her bed and despite that, she still has a cover on her face which make me shake my head in disbelief. Sitting beside her bed is Yoshie with a face full of worry and taking care of her.

"Your highness!" she said in surprise and suddenly stand up.

I raise my hand at her to stop her from bowing. She moves back, letting me near where Princess Yuki is. I sit in the bed and ask Yoshie without looking, "how is she?"

"The doctor already provided us medicine and she's been taking them but I don't think it's effective. It's been a few days nothing changes," Yoshie answered, her voice quivering with worry.

I touch the princess's forehead, she doesn't have a fever. Then what is happening with her? Before I can question Yoshie what cause the princess's sickness, Princess Yuki suddenly gets up. Yoshie hurriedly picks up the basin and gives it to the princess. She slightly parts the cover of her face to the side and vomits into the basin given by Yoshie. But it seems that she hasn't eaten anything yet as she vomited nothing.

She sits on her bed properly when she's done and after fixing herself, she faces and greeted me. I turned to Yoshie and ask her to bring food for the Princess to eat.

Princess Yuki sighs watching Yoshie leaving in the room in a hurry to follow my orders. She turned to me and said in a low and hoarse voice, "I don't have an appetite, Your Highness. All I want is to lie down and sleep, to rest."

I just look at her with a knotted forehead and did not say anything. I don't have a plan to give in to her. How can she recover if she won't eat? Even if I have to force her to eat, then I will. Aside from that, I am also thinking. I haven't heard enough to know what is really happening with her but seeing her now and with what happened a while ago, I think I have an idea. Vomiting, no appetite, sluggish, and sleeping or lying down all day. I just hope that it's not what I am thinking it is. She was with me when we attended an event but that night of the explosion and the next day, she vanish and no one knows where she went.

After a few minutes of silence, I called Capt. Kizu. I know that he is just behind the door of this room, guarding. I told him to call the royal physician, I want to know what really is happening with Princess Yuki.
