Getting to know you (part 3)
{1 week and 6 days before exams}
Clover woke up to the sound of the beeping alarm.
(faded beeping sounds) "Hmmm .....
"When did i fall asleep?"
Holding her head with her hands, Clover looks at herself in the mirror that stood right across her bed ,
'Shit ,my hair is a messy and i slept in my uniform?!!! ' (inner screams of frustration)
{At the same time}
Clover's mom , yells from down the stairs
"clover wake up its 7:30 am!!"
"yah." (Clover replied in a low frustrated voice and yarned )
"clover!!?"
"(loudly) yah yah mom!! i am up , so stop yelling!"
Grumpily Clover stands and hits the alarm clock, hard enough to break it but luckily it survived. She goes to the bathroom , grabs the paste and her brush and starts brushing her teeth. Meanwhile lincy comes in and Hangs her cloths on the cloths holding rod on the right side of the tub. Clover spits the foam from her mouth into the sink and raises one of her eyebrow .
(lincy asks Clover casually) "what?"
(Clover , rather annoyed) "can t you see that i am in here ? using this bathroom?"
"So?"
Clover stares silently but 'what the heck' is written all over her face. Clover wanted to get her revenge so, she relaxed her facial expressions and turned her head . As she kept brushing her teeth, she patiently waited for the right opportunity. when Lincy left to get her body wash [The one that she takes back with her to her room every time after her bath because she doesn't like others using her stuff], Clover ran to her room (clover's room) and grabbed her lingerie and a body towel and returned to the bathroom in lightening speed . She closed the door in a hurry, and turned the shower on.
bang! bang! .... bang! bang! bang! (Clover's inner thoughts : someone is trying to break the door.... as if i care).
"Clover! you idiot!!!!"
Lincy yells from the other side, while clover was whistling her favourite song under the running water with a great sense of satisfaction.
When clover was finished ,she wears her inners and wraps herself with the body towel . She opens the door a little and peeks out through the small gap. There were no sign of Lincy around so she opens the door and escapes . After getting dressed , she walks out of her room and saw Lincy approaching her fuming with anger, so she ran to the front door of the house and got her sports shoes in a hurry and leaves with a loud cry,
"Bye mom!!!"
"Clover !!! what about breakfast?" (Clover's mom yells from the kitchen in vain).
After a while , clover stops running . She checks her wrist watch as she wore her shoes properly. the time is 7:58 am.
"Shit, its too early for school, there is not going to be much to do at school this early ... why is the day so annoying already."
She walks to her school nevertheless . Reluctantly she opens her classroom door and stood frozen for a moment in surprise. Inside the classroom , jack was sitting on a desk, near the window. the breeze from the window made his blond hair slowly dance to its gentle touch, his hands were crossed and his back was straight . He looked like a talented sculptor's master piece which has come alive. His eyes were shut and he had air pods plugged into his ears . Anyone who saw that scene would be captivated by his looks but all clover could think of was, that the guy was sitting on her seat. (sorry, i can understand , our female lead is helpless).
She walks in and taps the guy on his shoulder . finally those eye lashes moved and his captivating eyes opened (cough cough ,,, please ignore the last part and where were we? yah) and he immediately removed one of his air pods and turned towards clover.
"Clover! hi!, good morning !"
He smiles brightly and greeted her cheerfully , but it put clover off. She pointer at her desk and said,
"Its my seat, so move"
" Yah ,sure."
He got up and sat on the desk that was in front of Clover's desk. Clover put her bag on the floor , sat on her chair and lay her head on her desk .
"Do you like listening to music?" jack curiously turns to Clover and added "what song do you like?"
Clover lets out a sigh and replies " song of silence "
(Jack knowing what she meant) "I have never heard of that song before , Who is the artist?"
"---"
"Clover?"
" I am asking to be quite" (clover replies in an annoying tone).
"Are you still angry at me?"
Clover sits up straight looks him in the eyes and says in a very sarcastic way ,
"we are not close enough to fight or get angry at each other, are we?"
In other words it sounded like don t cross the line.
Jack backs away and clover lies on her desk again.
Jack heard from Logan yesterday that getting closer to Clover is almost impossible, because she has these invisible walls that she has built around her heart to prevent herself from getting hurt. He told Jack that Clover has had so much to deal with, when she was younger . Logan like any good friend didn't give away their secret to Jack or anyone for that matter. This made Jack more curious about Clover.
As Jack kept thinking he heard a loud growling sound. Immediately he realised were it came from and chuckled . Clover closes her eye and pretends like she is asleep. Jack gets up and walks out of the classroom. Clover sits up biting her lower lip in frustration, she bent down and looks at her tummy . With a very stern voice she said,
"Why did you embarrass me like that in front of him? , you deserve to be hungry"
She lies down and shuts her eyes once again hoping that her stomach will eventually settle down ,But it made more noises and just became louder as time went by. Clover sat up and something caught her attention . There was something like a chocolate bar on the edge of her desk. She took it in her hand and looks around , she reads the name out loud,
" fruit and nut energy bar".
She waits for sometime but unable to fight the temptation she eats the chocolate and finishes it. After sometime she heard foot steps in the corridor so she quickly wiped her mouth , turned towards the window and lay on her desk.
Jack enters and looks for the chocolate bar , then a smile pops on his face.
" pretending dead huh?" He asked playfully.
Clover shuts her eyes tightly, and thinks : someone please find me a black hole that can gobble me up ..... how embarrassing .
