After a while of walking in the woods with little happening, the duo come upon the iconic stone bench in front of a fountain with nothing else around it.
'I swore that was a lot shorter walk earlier... I guess I lost track of time wandering when I first got here.'
Past the bench and fountain, the woods begin to clear up and a huge castle can be seen. 'Wait! Cinderella might accept me as I am, but how am I going to walk through the town to get to the castle? The game just skips that, but in the later version of the world in the realm of darkness there is totally a town between here and there.'
Without noticing, Will had stopped walking alongside Cinderella. She turns around to see him looking at her with a confused look on his face. "What's wrong?" she asks.
Before he can answer there is a flash of light and a tall teen appears next to the fountain. He has long black hair that is swept back and his face is schooled in a serious expression. He takes a moment to look around himself before his eyes lock on to Will next to Cinderella.
'Holy shit it's Terra. Fuck yeah, I'm in Birth by Sleep. Close enough to canon, I can fully abuse my knowledge of the future now!'
"Run miss, before that Unversed attacks you!"
Terra summons a keyblade into his hand and shifts his body into an attacking stance.
Cinderella looks over to Will and then back towards the teen. Confused, she doesn't know if she should take him seriously or not. "What do you mean sir?"
Terra also seems to be confused, but his eyes refocus and he continues to point his keyblade at the mushroom. "Miss, please step away from it. My master told me that there are creatures called the Unversed attacking people nearby, has this monster done anything to hurt you?"
Will steps back to hide behind Cinderella. She keeps herself between the mushroom and Terra and responds. "Um... I haven't heard of any monsters like you describe. This little one just helped me repair my dress and is walking with me to the ball. He has been nothing if not sweet and polite."
Terra starts to calm down and looks at Will. "If this is true, then I apologize for my outburst. Forgive me..." Terra's head lowers slightly. "Must be a part of this worlds order and not an unversed..." he mumbles under his breath. His keyblade fades away as he lets his guard drop.
"It isn't me you should be apologizing to, you should say that to Mr. Mushroom." Cinderella pushes the shroom forwards toward the boy.
'Man at least Terra takes whatever people say as truth, I'd hate it if he stubbornly kept trying to attack me.'
Being put on the spot, Will waved at Terra.
With a sort of cramped face, Terra apologized to Will. "I am sorry little... guy. I shouldn't have judged you as soon as I saw you." Looking around himself, Terra seemed to come to a decision.
"Please let me accompany you both, with the Unversed around I don't think either of you would be safe walking alone."
'Nice, my quest got even easier. I don't even have to do anything anymore, just sit back and let Terra do the work.'
Cinderella took a moment to consider it before feeling Will tug her hand. She looked down at the mushroom to see him nod. "Alright, you may join us. But may I ask your name first?"
"It's Terra." he replied with a nod.
"Nice to meet you Terra, I am Cinderella and you have already met Mr. Mushroom." Will again waved at the teen.
Just as the introductions were out of the way, Will noticed shadows creeping closer from the woods. At first he had thought it was just the trees shifting in the breeze, but the shadows moved jerkily in zig-zag patterns.
'The Flood! I have to let Terra know!' Will began pointing and waving his arms towards the shadows in an attempt to get Terra's attention.
"Huh, what's got you nervous mushroom?"
Terra began to pay attention to the shroom, noticing it pointing towards some shadows. Once the shadows were close enough, small quadrupedal monsters sprung out of them.
"The Unversed!" shouting his catchphrase, Terra re-summons his keyblade.
