"Shinya you are finally awake?"

I woke up in a hospital Rekishi, RIze, Matsuri, Kanae, Chizuhara, and my brother Sarai is inside the room I felt intense atmosphere around, did something happen

"I called out everyone when you collapse and..."

"And?"

"HINOMARU HOTARU DIED" My brother confessed

"What did you say?" I gasped

"While you are lying around here asleep, Hotaru died" brother cursed

"Matsuri discharge me I will go and visit the place where Hotaru-san died" I get up

"But you still have a fever!!!" Rize almost yelled at me

"I'm fine I'll go" I insist

"No, you stay here Shinya" brother said and left the room

"You heard him" Chizuhara commented

"But-" I was cut off by Rekishi

"Not at the time like this Shinya I begged you" he said

After that they left me all alone

Matsuri told me I will be discharge in 3 days

3 days for fucking 3 days I've got to lie here doing nothing

I was not in the mood to do anything I just lie down on the bed and tried to sleep

But for some reason I can't sleep

I was still bothered by Hotaru-san death

That's so unusual what might be the cost and who did it

I was walking back and forth holding onto my chin while thinking who the culprit might be

If it's a murder, then it must be him, if not then was it an illness

They did not even give me a damn clue

Outside view caught my attention there are fireworks blooming around

I opened the door outside the balcony and felt the cold breeze coming from the outside

It calms me a little

I close my eyes for a bit and felt the sound of fireworks firing through the air

And when I suddenly opened my eyes once again, I saw the presence of Sano Manjiro his sitting outside the balcony of the hospital room I'm in

"Yo shrimpy" he smiled

"Hah?" my eyes lit up

"How are you feeling?" he asked

"S-since when are you here???" I said in a shock

"Since you were admitted to the hospital" he answered

"So, you were here all along" I muttered

"Uh-huh I even set that fireworks for you" he said

"But why? Were not that even closed for friendship?" I spoke

"Ehhhh? You don't consider me as a friend and here I thought I'm your friend since the first day I talk to you" he pouted like a kid

"It doesn't matter, so you did hear what we talk about earlier" I change the subject

"Hm~ yes I heard about it" he replied

"Then did you know about Hinomaru Hotaru death?"  I mentioned

"Hm~ he was murdered the information went to me in no time" he speaks

"Murdered you say, then there are some possibilities" I said

"What do you mean?" he said all naturally

"Anyway, get me discharge I'll go look for it myself" I said and tidy my things

"No, you stay here that's an order" he said tapping the table at the balcony

"Are you ordering me now?" I spoke

"You are such a drag; your brother wants me to look for you and not let you go outside until you discharge"

"This has nothing to do with him, I'll run away if you won't" I said truthfully

"You can investigate on it later and your friends are on it now, you just need to rest for now" he holds both of my shoulder and lie me down on the bed

"What the heck are you doing? Out of the way or at least removed your hand off me"

He removed his hand off me "What are you up to Suou?" 

"It's forbidden" I murmured

"Okay, for now just enjoy the fireworks my guys set just for you" he said

This guy is reliable

3 days have past and I'm out of the hospital finally

Come to think of it for those 3 days Sano had taken care of me while those guys didn't even visit me for once

"S-sano, T-thank-s" I can't even thank him properly now

He pokes my forehead "My business is my business, where do you plan to go now?" 

"Where else? To the crime scene" I pointed at it's direction

"Hop on it"

We went to the place with his motorcycle

The place has a lot of tape and sign 'DO NOT CROSS'

No people are around this area, we went inside

I saw fallen brick if I am not wrong this ruined house is the Hinomaru residence the surroundings is full of ashes and the signature of black flame and burned area

"Let me show you where Hotaru-san last seen" he grabbed my hand, and we enter the house

We enter a certain room and there are tape everywhere saying 'do not cross'

I saw the visibility of blood on the tile

But something caught my attention from the top of the mountain of broken brick

"Flag of the rising sun" I clench my fist while holding the flag

*CREEK*

I heard something from above me

I was shocked when a brick is going to fall from me

Much worst I saw someone push me to fall from me

I did not move I just closed my eyes waiting for it to fall and crash on me

"WATCH OUT" I heard Sano said

The next thing I knew when I opened my eyes

Sano protected me

He was bleeding he got some few scratches

I react immediately

"Are you good?" I asked

"I'm okay, I'm okay it's just a few scratches, no need to worry"

"But you are bleeding" I argued, I've gotten so worried when I saw his head bleeding

"Luckily that I got in time" he smiled

I saw his eyes darkened and fall on me

I carried Sano outside his heavy but I'm the only one in here

I drove his motorcycle back to the hospital I let the doctor have him

The doctor came back saying his okay he just need a little stitch and he collapse because of the impact that hit his head

I rest assured the moment I heard it

"When will he wake up?" I asked

"He'll wake up soon," said the doctor

"Thank you, doctor,"

I went to his room and checked on him

His head has bandage

Observing him like this

He surely has long eyelashes and very handsome too

*SCREECH*

Someone entered the room

"Draken?" I said, half to myself

"How's Mikey?" was all he asked

He sat across me "The doctor said he was okay, he had a few stitch on his head"

"He saved you, isn't he?"

"He did, I'm sorry for letting your boss in this situation" I apologized and bowed my head

"It's his own will you don't need to apologize, even if I'm on that situation I'll do the same thing as he did" he raised my head

"Thanks" I mumbled

Brother Sarai Calling~~

"I'll take this call for a minute" I said

"Take your time" he said

I entered the balcony

And answered the call and all I hear was brother raising his voice and scolding me

"Where are you? It's getting late. You are to carefree Shinya not this time" I moved away my phone for a bit

I put it closer to my ear now "I got into an accident brother, I'm at the hospital looking for Sano" 

"What happened? Are you okay? I'll go there right away?" he said worriedly this time

"No need, I wasn't hurt that bad, Sano was the one who got hurt not me"

"Tell me the details" he asked for it

I sigh "We went to the sight, I saw the flag of the rising sun once again that means it was all their doing and by that time I saw someone push a brick to fall in my direction that person is wearing a cape I did not saw the face because it was too dark and the person is wearing a hood but I saw clearly that the person is wearing the cape of the rising sun we've been looking for by its movement it's a woman, and I did not move because I was in the state of shock and the next thing I knew Sano save me" I explained

"I need to thank the guy in person later"

"What did you get brother?" I said frankly

"I've got no information you're the only one who saw the flag" he said seriously

"Was it their intention in the first place? This is so fishy" I said

"Just be careful Shinya be on guard all the time" brother mentioned

"You might as well take care of yourself, once he wakes up, I'll go back home" I ended the call

I breath heavily before going in

Draken was looking at Sano desperately

He heard me enter the quiet room

"You just got discharge today you can go now I'll look after him" said Draken

"Are you sure? I mean I'm not that busy I can stay here for a while"

"You've done enough, I can take care of him now and besides you look exhausted"

"Call me if he woke up" I said and give him my number

I called Rize

"Hello Shinya" on the other line

"Come and pick me up at the hospital where I got admitted" I said and ended the call

I waited outside

She arrives after 23 minutes

"Where are we going Shinya?" she asks the moment she sent us flying

"Straight ahead to the house" I said

When we arrive at the house brother wasn't home, I ask Rize to go back

I change my clothes and was planning to leave but brother arrived

"Where do you plan to go?" he asked me right away

"I'm going to visit someone you don't need to worry" I said and tap his back

I went to get my motorcycle

I'm going to take a visit at Yato-san's place

"Shinya how are you? Have a sit?" he said

"I guess you already knew about the incident on Hinomaru residence?" I retorted

"Yes, we already lost one of our dearest friends, yet he wasn't satisfied and killed another one" he uttered

"Do you think the next one would be-" he cut me off

"I got that feeling too" he confessed

Matsuri Calling~~

"I'll take this call first Yato-san"

"Go ahead you've grown a finest lady Shinya" he smiled at me

I went outside and answered the call right away

"What do you need Matsuri?" I spoke

"I went to meet Ebisu-san but the moment I left him the whole place was bomb and when I look for Ebisu-san his already dead and I saw the flag of the rising sun stabbed on his body" I heard him loud and clear, I heard him crying

"WHAT? EBISU-SAN IS DEAD?" I was shocked to the bone

"This might look crazy, but I guess the next target is Yato-san, I heard you left are you with him" he said

All of it registered to my mind I run away quickly and did not got the chance to answer Matsuri's question

I was hoping when I open this door Yato-san was there alive

But I was wrong

I saw him lying down with his own blood splathered around

I walk closely his throat was slit and his blood was still running

I immediately sat next to him, he was still alive and his about to say something

"S-shinya h-he h-his a-after y-y-o-u" his very last word before he died

I step outside

I called Matsuri right away and told him the situation

*BAAM*

I heard explosion coming from Yato-san's house

It was burning I was about to get inside to get Yato-san's body but then Rize and the guys suddenly appeared

"You can't go in" Rize warned

"But I need to at least save Yato-san's body" I argued

"We don't know if we'll survive Shinya don't be so stubborn" Chizuhara yelled at me

I was crying

Crying that I can't even do a damn thing

I went to the riverbank all alone

I wanted to remove all the thoughts in me for a while and be at ease

But it keeps reminding me all the deaths and pain

We lost many precious lives including brother Sanjiro and Hotaru-san

Now we lost two memorable members of Scarlet Dawn again

Who will you kill next?
