"Come at me asshole! I'm not scared of you anymore!"
Ean yelled before tripping over his leg, loudly and harshly crashing against the ground, rolling through the field as if he were ball
"What the fuck"
Ean whined, cursing out his bad luck before slowly standing up, using his sword, but before he could he was brought down back to his knees from a kick to his face
"Looks like I've caught up with you, huh?"
Louis whispered as he stepped on Ean's chest, roughly bringing him down to the ground
"And? You think stepping on me would do anything?"
Ean replied before placing his right foot on Louis's waist, kicking his leg forward, pushing Louis off, and the moment he did he attempted to run off, but right when he moved his leg, he dropped down to his knees
"You must've of forgotten something, Ean"
Louis whispered as he slowly approached Ean from behind, gripping his hair before pulling his head back
"You hurt me, you get hurt, don't you remember? Or did you forget the rules of my abilities?"
Said Louis with an arrogant tone before slamming, Ean against the ground
"Yeah, no, of course, I wouldn't forget something like that, you bullied and took advantage of me, you fucking asshole!"
Ean yelled, insulting Louis with the best of his abilities before freeing himself from the grip
"Also, it looks like you're still fucking stupid"
Said Ean as he slid through the ground, getting away from Louis before kicking him on the face, and right when he did the force of his kick was repelled, causing his right cheek to turn purple
"It's a race you fucking dumb-ass! So why are you attacking me? Run, you idiot!"
Ean yelled while taking a few steps back, holding his sword in his left hand before his eyebrows moved up as his expression of annoyance turned into one of confusion. Louis was laughing
"You don't understand, do you? Arthur Bermudez is in the race, meaning none of us can ever hope to win against him! It's impossible, so while this mini-game is still in motion, I wanna have some fun while I still can. Not to mention, I'm not the only one who thinks so"
Louis explained while slowly spreading his arms, making Ean tilt his head, he was still confused, and Louis was beginning to irritate him. But as if curiosity was guiding him, Ean began to look around, realizing what Louis meant the moment he did
"What the hell.."
Ean whispered as the dirt began to gather around him and Louis. Every participant in the field was fighting, some were pushing each other trying to get ahead of the race while others were attacking each other left and right
"When Arthur is in a competition, they don't focus on winning it, they focus on getting what they want. And right now, what they want is to weaken and possibly injure everyone around them before they get on to the next mini-game, it gives them a chance at winning"
"That's idiotic, you can't just randomly assume you'd lose just cause Arthur is in the fight"
"It isn't idiotic, it's call strategy, it's sloppy, but it gets the job done, at least for them"
Lous replied, exchanging words with Ean who simply sighed placing his sword over his right shoulder
"Cant you beat him? You deflect attacks don't you?"
"I do"
"So, take care of him then"
Ean suggested as Louis simply sighed, shaking his head from left to right
"Arthur produces coldness, which he has resistance to, imagine throwing cold air at someone who lives in it. I can't beat him"
Louis explained while placing his arms behind his head, swaying his right leg as he yawned
"Yeah, that makes sense"
Ean replied, nodding his head in agreement as if him and Louis were old childhood friends.
But after a few seconds they would suddenly disappear, appearing in between the space they were once in, clashing their fists, causing a small shockwave before they landed on their feet, rushing at each other beginning to exchange punches.
Ean tried his best to dodge, while Louis tried his best to knock Ean down. Their fists would rapidly clash, as they dashed and ran through the other participants.
Louis would then stomp his left leg on the ground stopping his movements in a second before swinging his fist upward, targeting Ean who was in the air, but with swiftness Ean would dodge the attack, using Louis's arm as a platform to push himself away with his arms.
Landing on the ground, Ean would slide through it, using his hands to stop himself before weaving his head back, dodging a kick from Louis to then kick him in the stomach, causing a burst of wind which sent both of them flying back.
With finesse they would land on the ground, standing apart from each other
"Not that I care, but, where's your sword?"
Louis questioned while shaking his hands, walking towards Ean as he cracked his neck with a smirk on his face
"You blind?"
Ean replied while pointing at the sky, causing Louis to look upward, and there it was, Ean's sword, floating in the air surrounded by the same aura that was surrounding him
"That's a weird-looking sword. Where'd you get it?"
Louis questioned as Ean shrugged with a smile on his face
"I don't know, I just magically found it while walking down an ally, the gods must've favored me"
Ean replied while walking towards Louis, they both slowly began to speed up as they got closer, soon beginning to run
"Well, it won't matter where you got it from once it's mine!"
Louis said as his smirk grew into a ginormous grin, proceeding to dash toward Ean, who did exactly the same. Clashing their fists the moment they reached each other, causing a shockwave in the process.
And once again, they began to rapidly exchange blows, causing shockwave after shockwave, running through the field once more, spreading the destruction of their blows, faster and more intensively
