Chit-Chat

"Ean, those monsters.."

Shu whispered as he slowly lowered his arm while staring at the sun

"Yeah?"

Ean replied with a small smile on his face as he stood up from the ground, wiping his tainted clothes in the process

"You could've killed them all, so why didn't you?"

Shu questioned as he stood straight, turning to look at Ean with a calm expression

"Well, as you can see, I'm pretty injured, not to mention that I can't fully use my sword's full power without becoming immobilized, so if I did attack, I'd probably just kill a few, before passing out and be killed myself"

"Is that so?"

"Yeah"

"How much of your sword's power can you use?"

Shu questioned as he stared at Ean straight in the eyes

"Uh, about 20 percent?"

Ean replied with a nervous tone as he placed his hand behind his head, scratching it while looking away in an attempt to avoid Shu's gaze

"Just 20?"

"Yeah"

"If it was 20 then you could've killed them with just a bit of difficulty, so the reason for your failure must have been your injuries"

"If you put it that way..then, yeah I guess"

"So let me ask you this"

Shu questioned with a purely serious tone as he closed in on Ean, standing a few inches away from his face, causing Ean to smile nervously

"Y-yeah?"

"Who injured you?"

"Who injured me?"

"Yes"

"Well—I don't know if you remember him, since it's been about a month but, it was Louis, the guy who made you bleed at the cafeteria"

Ean whispered, replying to Shu's somewhat weird question, but the moment he did so a strong burst of energy pushed him away.

Shu was angry, or at least he looked angry, no, he looked furious, very furious, so much so that the pressure of his Sanctuary Energy was unconsciously being released, of course that amount of energy wouldn't normally be a problem, but to Ean who was injured and to Ori who was not yet at his level, this was like the air of a tornado spinning around in front of them.

In an attempt to stop themselves from being blown away, both Ori and Ean placed their arms in front of their faces in a defensive way, but even that wasn't enough to stop Shu's anger, making them slide through the ground with force

"W-what is this blood lust?"

Ori questioned as he clenched his fists and teeth, closing his right eye while trying to push his body forward

"I don't know, I think that I made him upset.. maybe he's angry cause I'm not as strong as he thought?"

Ean replied while, lowering his head, looking down at the ground while marching forward with difficulty

"Why would he get angry at that?"

Ori asked, before being pushed back with force, almost losing his balance before quickly squatting down to spot himself from being blown away

"He likes fighting, a lot, so he's probably disappointed that I can't give him a good fight"

Ean replied while all the injuries across his body began to bleed again

"Why would someone even get mad at such a thing—so mad to release this much killing intent, this is just ridiculous"

Ori replied as he tried to stand up, doing so successfully, but as soon as he did he began to struggle yet again, marching forward with his arms in front of his face, and just as he did, the pressure suddenly stopped, causing them to lose their balance entirely, as they were unconsciously marching forward even after the pressure had stopped.

"Eh?"

Ean exclaimed as he tripped over his leg, falling hard against the ground

"Ean"

Shu whispered as he Ean slowly sat up, rubbing his face with a slight groan of pain

"Uh—Shu before you insult me, listen, man, it's really hard to master this sword ok? I can get past 20 percent, but not 25, it really strains my body you know?"

"Ean"

Shu repeated himself, causing Ean, who was already nervous, to begin to sweat

"Y-yeah?"

"Where is this Louis guy?"

"Uh—well he's obviously doing this mini-game so you can probably find him if you just look around"

"Ok then, I'll go find him, beat him and kill him for you"

Shu whispered, proceeding to turn his back to Ean

"Wait-huh? Kill him? Woah-Woah-Woah!! calm down!! You don't have to do that, ok!?"

"Why not? Look what he did to you, it's his fault, so he'll have to answer for it"

"Yeah but—you don't need to kill him for it...I mean, I do want to beat his ass but—oh! How about this!"

Ean yelled, slamming his right fist against his left palm, smirking as he stared at Shu from the ground

"How about you wait for the tournament? I mean, it's pretty obvious that you'll win a Mini-Game sooner or later, I mean come on, you're THE Shu. So wait till the tournament and then there, where no one will bother you, beat his ass"

"Hmm. Will anyone interrupt our battle if I end up in the tournament?"

"Nope, absolutely not—AND you can go as berserk as you want"

"Oh really?"

"Yep"

Ean exclaimed, proceeding to give Shu a thumbs up with a soft smile on his face

"Is that so?"

Shu questioned, as an ominous aura began to surround him, but just as soon as Ean was about to reply that aura soon vanished and an innocent smile grew on Shu's face

"Well if it's like that then, it's all great!"

"Right!? That's what I was thinking!"

Ean yelled, replying to Shu's weird and sudden change in attitude

"By the way Shu"

Ean said while standing up from the ground, proceeding to wrap his left arm around Shu's shoulders and neck, as Shu did the same with his right arm

"Yeah?"

Shu questioned as both he and Ean, began to walk, perfectly in sync

"How'd you even get here man? I thought that only people who participated in the first mini-game had the chance to move on to the next Mini Games"

"Oh well you see, this weird looking dude was standing at the gate of the academy, he told me that the only way to enter at the moment was to either participate or watch as an spectator, but since I like action, I obviously chose to participate oh and-"

As the conversation between the two of them went on, Ori watched from afar, completely confused, the sudden change in attitude was enough to leave him full of thoughts, and the fact that Ean did exactly the same, made him think even harder.
