Shu and Arthur would exchange their strongest blow yet, a blow which held all of their energy and strength. Arthur coated his right hand with the hottest fire he could produce, and Shu engulfed his right leg with all the energy he could use, hitting each other in the face with those overpowered strikes, nearly knocking each other out, creating a shockwave which destroyed the entirety of the field, of course, Eran was moved away by the announcer so that he wouldn't get caught in the exchange.
The barrier which protected the audience cracked, and the field no longer existed, it was just a ginormous crater of destruction, and in the middle of it all, was Shu, badly injured with an unconscious Arthur by his feet.
" And the winner of this year's tournament! Shu Hellgard!!!!!! "
The announcer yelled, making, the once terrified crowd scream in excitement as the barrier that protected them and the field that once was, regenerated, not only that but all of Arthur's and Shu's wounds were healed.
Everyone noticed this of course, just like they did when the arena was constantly fixed, but they didn't care, the excitement they had received, filled their hearts with the excitement they so badly wanted to feel, but, those loud cheers were soon shut as the king, Romulus himself landed on the newly built arena, towering over Shu with a chilling looking glare
" Do you know what you have done boy? "
Romulus questioned, as Shu simply stared back at him, not scared whatsoever
" Woah what? Is king Romulus the type to get angry because his son lost? "
Was what was running through every spectator's mind, of course, they wouldn't be brave enough to say it out loud, considering the ridiculous feats of power they heard of him from stories.
Who would dare oppose a man so incredibly strong that he could be considered a god? Well, the answer to that question is simple, it was, of course, Shu
" If I know what I've done? I beat your son, that's what I did, do you have a problem that? Is that why you came down here yourself? Is Arthur's father a sore loser? "
Shu questioned, practically insulting the king as he slowly grabbed Arthur from the ground, looking up at the announcer with an innocent look, as everyone who stared at him, could not believe what they had heard
" Hey, flying man, it's best you take Arthur away like you did with the other fighters "
Shu said, lifting Arthur's unconscious body in the air, and just like he asked, the body was transported, by a sudden bright blue light which temporarily blinded everyone in radius.
" Yes, you did beat my son, and for that, I'd like to congratulate you "
Romulus said as stretched out his hand toward Shu, to greet him with a handshake
" How is beating your son a need for a reward? "
Shu replied, looking up at the man with a serious expression, whilst shoving his hands in his pockets
" Well, my son was the strongest teenager in the kingdom, and now that you have beaten him, not only once but twice, a title like that would—normally be given to you. So I want to congratulate you personally "
Romulus explained, removing any impure thoughts the spectators had of him as they listened
" Thanks but, I don't want to celebrate my win with you, not that I want to anyway, but if I did, I'd want to do it with my friend Ean. Speaking of Ean, I'll go meet him now "
Shu replied, scratching the back of his head before turning his back to the king, beginning to walk away, but he stopped, hearing Romulus's voice in his head, saying
" I know you're a Himura "
As soon as he heard such words, Shu quickly turned to look at him, his eyes were spewing intense blue flames with a touch of anger on his face
" What did you just say? "
Shu questioned, looking up at the man as blue energy began to engulf his body
" Hm? What are you talking about? "
Romulus questioned, looking confused, of course, he wasn't the only person who seemed confused, all spectators were as well, after all, the only one who heard the voice was Shu
" What you just said. How do you know that? "
Shu continued, tightly squeezing his hands into fists while annoyingly looking up at him
" If you want to know, meet me at my castle "
Romulus's voice echoed across Shu's head as the boy, slowly calmed down, placing his hand on the back of his neck, cracking it slightly before turning around
" I change my mind, I'll take you up on that offer, is it okay if I meet you at your house? "
Shu questioned, almost as if he had never heard Romulus's voice in his head, which made the man smile
" Wait, did that boy just ask the king if he could meet him at his castle? "
One of the spectators questioned, as others watched the conversation just as surprised as the one who asked
" Sure, how's tonight sound? we can have dinner together, you can meet my family as well "
The king added, looking at Shu with a calm expression as if he was talking with a long old friend
" That sounds good, make sure to prepare a lot of food though, I eat quite a lot "
Shu replied while patting his stomach with his left hand and scratching the back of his head with his right, laughing nervously as he did
" But of course, worry not, my servants will prepare the finest of dishes "
Romulus said, making the boy smile
" Alright, sounds great see ya tonight "
Shu exclaimed, turning his back to the king once more, as his smile slowly disappeared, his expression now being that of a calm yet serious one.
" Alright, till tonight I suppose "
The king replied, turning his back to the boy, ducking down to the level where his upper body met his knees, and with a quick reflex, he'd jump up, high enough to land where his seat was at, walking past it and entering the hallway which was behind it.
Shu also left the field, via a door like portal which appeared in front of him
" Will this take me to Ean? "
Shu questioned, pointing at the portal while looking up at the announcer
" It most definitely will "
The announcer replied, giving him a thumbs up along with a smile, making Shu chuckle a bit, passing through the door, and as soon as he did, he appeared in what seemed to be a hospital room, with Ean laying on a bed
" Oh hey, congratulations on your win "
Ean said, smiling at Shu who simply sighed, scratching the back of his head, smiling back at him
" Thanks, how did you I won? "
Shu questioned, while Ean pointed at a screen connected to a wall which showed the arena
" Woah! It's like the screens used to show our faces when the announcer called out our names "
Shu pointed out, walking over to the screen like a kid would if he had received a toy
" Yeah, the announcer has some pretty interesting abilities "
Ean whispered while looking down at his tightly closed hands which were resting on his thighs
" Hey Shu, what was with the king? He suddenly approached you, what were you guys talking about? "
Ean questioned as Shu turned to look at him with that innocent look he unconsciously had
" He invited over for dinner "
Shu replied, with a calm tone, as if it was the most normal thing in the world
" What!? Dinner with the king! "
Ean yelled, making Shu laugh in return, and so, their conversation went on, and on, laughing at their own stupid jokes and eat the snacks which Ean had underneath his pillow, and soon, night came to be.
