A normal day for Ean

" What are you doing you idiot, fix your posture "

Petra whispered, as she stood behind Ean helping him position his arms, legs and the rapier he was currently holding

" I told you already, I don't need this type of training "

Ean replied as he tried to look at Petra who simply held onto his upper limbs with her hands tightly, forcing him to keep his right arm straight

" I've seen you practice before, and the way you fight is intense and beautiful, but, you lack not only finesse but elegancy…. "

She whispered, as she pressed her cheek against his, in an attempt to see through his point of view

" So what? I'm still a good swordsman anyway, what does elegancy have to do with swordsmanship? "

Ean replied, moving his arms and legs just like she guided him to, he didn't want to get into a useless argument against her, he knew too well he couldn't win

" It's undeniable that your sword techniques are good but you have so much more potential to unlock, if you slowed down your pace you could save yourself from making too many unnecessary movements.. "

She whispered before sliding her hands off of his limbs, taking a few steps back only to place her hand on the hilt of her Rapier

" Turn around, we're going to have a duel "

She ordered, as Ean simply listened, turning to look at her with his rapier pointing to the ground, his face expression was one of confusion and boredom

" Here "

She whispered before throwing him a sword, which he caught, staring at it carefully

" What's this for? "

" What else? It's for the duel—you don't know how to use a rapier so a sword will suit you best "

She replied, to which Ean sighed, dropping the rapier on the ground, proceeding to unsheathe the sword slowly, parting it away from its sheath as blue energy began to surround the blade

" No "

Petra said, interrupting the process, causing him to lower his sword, only to look at her with his right eyebrow risen

" What do you mean no? "

Ean replied, not knowing what to reply with, he didn't want to see her upset, she was annoying to deal with when she got angry

" We won't be using Sanctuary, just pure skill "

Petra added, to which Ean nodded, the blue light vanishing from the blade, as he then rose his sword with both his hands, taking a simple stance

" Start! "

She yelled, dashing toward the boy, quickly thrusting her rapier forward in an attempt to stab the boy in his head, only for him to dodge it and push her away with his left hand.

Right after he gripped the hilt of his blade tightly, swinging it horizontally, only for it to be blocked by Petra, who utilized all the strength on her arms to parry the attack

" Ah "

Ean exclaimed , not at all impressed, his face still showing signs of boredom only to then dash to the left, throwing his blade to his left hand, swinging the blade horizontally yet again, to which Petra quickly raised her guard, only to feel nothing after seconds of waiting

" What- "

She was interrupted by Ean's fist which sank inside of her stomach, the impact causing her to spit out saliva, as Ean quickly grabbed her by her left arm, pulling her close, taking a better look at her face

" I was paying attention to what you were teaching me, it may seem like I was ignoring you if you'd just stare at my face expression, but I wasn't "

Ean whispered, to then lower his head a bit, planting a small and quick kiss on her lips, only to feel them part ways with his only a few seconds later

" What the hell are you talking about? "

Petra questioned as she placed her left fingers on her lips, blushing somewhat whilst trying to keep her Rapier straight

" Well, I just assumed that you wanted to duel me because you thought I wasn't paying attention, or am I wrong? "

Ean replied, as he leaned forward a bit, lowering his upper body so that he could get a better look at her eyes from below

" No, you aren't wrong "

She whispered as she then placed her hand on his face, pushing hand back to give herself space to sheath her rapier

" Well—heh, I don't mean to brag but, according to Master Ezra, I'm a prodigy when it comes to swordsmanship "

He said, raising his chest, seemingly and completely proud of himself, causing her to scoff as she then tapped his chest with the back of her left hand

" Let's go get some breakfast, I'm hungry "

She replied, only to walk toward the back door of her home, since they were currently on her backyard

" Uh, yeah sure, little problem though, I have no money on me, the owner of the restaurant won't let me work for two weeks for lying to her about what my identity was "

Ean said, attempting to decline her offer in the nicest way possible, a man shouldn't take a woman to eat if he wasn't going to pay, or at least that's how he saw it

" Don't worry about that, I'm going to pay for the food, being a knight guarantees luxury. Plus, men aren't the only ones who should pay for food, women can to "

She replied, as she shoved her hand inside of her shorts, taking out a gold coin, flipping it into the air with her thumb, catching it with her left hand, causing Ean to smile

" Right, because women are better than men "

Ean said, chuckling a bit only to be pushed by Petra who couldn't help but laugh a little

" You know that's not what I meant, what's with you and this women are better than men thing "

She said, slapping his back causing him to twist his back a bit, walking a few steps faster with a smile on his face

" Because I like seeing you try to justify your words, even though you said nothing, it's funny to me "

He said as he took a step into the house only to be pushed further in by Petra who looked upset

" Yeah whatever, just get changed so we can go have some food "
