The name, Arthur Bermudez

Weeks went by, and Shu's bound with his children grew, he became happier than what he was when he came back.

He smiled more often, and his deadly stares were none existent, still he had his constant killing intent, but everyone who knew him became used to it.

His personality was very similar to what it was back when he was younger, though of course he wasn't as hyper as he used to be, no amount of memories with his children would help him through what he was currently feeling.

Right now, he was sitting on top of a mountain, a mountain which was near his castle.

His eyes were focused on the moon, the empty space and the stars that made it glow, it was late at night and he was alone, he didn't want to be around anyone because at the moment guilt was engulfing his mind.

He blamed himself, he blamed it all on himself for being so useless and weak.

" It was my fault "

Shu whispered as he placed his hand against his face, covering his eyes as the full moon shined brighter

" I couldn't defeat him, I couldn't do anything, so you had to sacrifice yourself for us "

He continued, his voice cracking as he went on, the fact that he normally acted tough and kept a calm composure, made this moment feel out of place

" I was no match for Romulus, I relied on demonic strength and yet I was unable to defeat him. When we first met I felt unstoppable, everyone around me was weaker than me so everything came easy to me… "

He went on, remembering his time back when he joined the Elsian academy, his many fights and how easily he won most of them, as well as the amount of fun he experienced whilst doing so

" Then I befriended you, along with all those other students, including Ean, and it made me feel like I was needed, like I could protect you all, if the time came… "

Shu would then close his hands, tightly pressing the tip of his fingers against his palms, making blood drip from them

" Then I became jealous, you began to get stronger along with me, it felt like I was no longer just obsessed with fighting but obsessed with becoming stronger, stronger so I could stand above you, and experience the feeling of protecting you, protecting everyone.. "

He whispered, hiding his face against his knees and arms, sobbing a little as the blood mixed with the tears that fell on the ground

" But, soon it became apparent to me that all my friends were equal to me, that they didn't need my help, and so it made me feel like I was useless, like I had no purpose, like all my purpose was stripped away as you yourself became stronger along with me "

The more he talked the more he began to insult himself, as if all that had happened, In his mind, happened because of him

" When the time came, when I was needed the most, I couldn't go and do anything, I couldn't go and kill myself like you did Arthur, I'm a coward, I'm a fucking coward.. "

Shu said, ending his small dialogue, to then stand up, opening his hands before taking in a deep breath

" I miss you man.. "

He said, closing his eyes as he would then lower his head, his tears slowly drying away as he would then smile

" I have kids now, i married Ayami and became king, I know this sounds insane, considering how dumb I was and how childish i used to be, but your death has treated my mind and my soul very differently, I did not expect such a death to change me so much, but I guess after your grandpa's death and then the death of one of your best friends, you're bound to become depressed "

Shu said, laughing at his pathetic life, before sighing deeply, taking in the fresh air of the cold night seconds later

" Ean, it isn't cool to spy on people man "

Shu said as he scratched the back of his head, turning around to see his friend walking out from behind a tree

" If you could sense me why didn't you call me out earlier? "

Ean questioned as he tilted his head a little, shoving his hands inside his black shorts, the wind hitting their clothes, as the two kept quiet for a second, only looking at each other

" I guess part of me wanted you to hear all of that "

Shu said, breaking the ice wall that their quietness built, proceeding to sigh as he would then sit back down on the ground, only for Ean to sit beside him.

The two would stare at the night sky, smiling as they remembered the times they spent together with Arthur when they were younger

" Listen man, about Arthur.. "

Ean said as he would then turn to look at Shu who simply avoided the man's gaze by focusing on the moon's bright white shine

" You shouldn't blame yourself for that, none of us expected that he'd do that, not you, not me, not Ayami, not even Fu. I understand that you're feeling awful about it, but so do all of us.. "

Ean whispered as Shu would then turn to look at him, making Ean hesitant about what he was gonna say next, since he didn't want to make his friend feel more sadness

" And look, even if you yourself couldn't sacrifice your life to save us all, just know that me and Ayami wouldn't have done that either, we still had hope that we'd win, but Arthur had a grudge against his father, he died that way he wanted to die, so please, I beg of you man.. "

Ean paused frowning before grabbing Shu by his shoulders, taking in a deep breath to then stare at the white haired man straight into his eyes

" It wasn't your fault!! You're not useless!! You're an amazing person and you are needed, you are as useful as any other person is!! You're my best friend and the father of two proud children, you will never be useless!! "

Ean yelled, causing Shu to open his eyes as wide as he could, staring up at the dark haired man with a calm expression before tears fell down his eyes, causing Ean to smile

" Plus, you've become insanely strong now, I'll never reach you "

Ean said, smiling as he would then move his hands away from Shu's shoulder, proceeding to rub his back as Shu let out more tears, he didn't sob or whined, instead he just allowed the tears from his eyes to flow down and crash against the ground.

This was the day Arthur Bermudez had died, and if left for others to remember, the name Arthur Bermudez would be forgotten, but fortunately that name was carried on and remembered by great warriors, warriors which included Shu and Ean.
