"Don't worry it's not as bad as you would think. As I have said before, they can't be overboard with how they deal with Adori. Also, the ruler of the 75th floor allowing what happened the scheme against us doesn't mean that they are against us." Said Liu Guanyi,

"Xin, you understand that the matter of the ten great families and Zahard family is complicated, right?" Asked Liu Guanyi.

Xin nodded his head.

"Well, the matter of princesses of Zahard is closely tied to what happens between the ten great families so it also becomes complicated. Although Adori doesn't hail from any of the ten great families, she still has her own supporter."

"This scheme can be an attack from the opposing party of Adori's supporters, however, it can also even be a test from the ones that support her to determine whether she's worthy of their support or even to improve her growth." Liu Guanyi explained patiently.

"Now, do you get it or do you need another explanation, Xin?" Adori asked with a condescending smile.

"Fine, I admit that you are correct this time, princess." Xin said with a grumble.

After the short argument and discussion, the three of them continued their journey in silence. After a few minutes, they left the place with the rocks and went into the area that was even more barren with deeper sand.

As they walked, some sands in their surroundings suddenly moved slightly. That occurrence didn't escape Xin's eyes as he abruptly stopped in his track.

"What happened, Xin?" Liu Guanyi noticed his behavior.

"Mr. Liu, we have some uninvited guests." Xin said with a calm face.

"I guess you have picked up something from Liu, after all." Adori said as she nodded with appreciation.

"I guess your eyes aren't mere decorations, after all, princess." Xin replied back with a smirk.

"Confident, aren't you? Well, let's see if you have made any progress other than just being a little bit more observant after training with Liu for more than a few decades." Adori spoke with a smile as the movement in the sand approached them and become more obvious.

When whatever moving under the sand reached a few meters away from them, the sand in their surroundings suddenly burst out and threw up what was underneath it.

With the dust and erupted sand covering their appearance, the creature quickly lunged toward its prey!

Xin moved in front of the group, grabbed his needle casually, and with his shinsu sense spread outward, found his target and stabbed his weapon forward.

His needle hit the bullseye as he could feel the pressure of its weight and the piercing sensation of going through flesh.

Before Xin could see what he had stabbed, the sand in the surroundings erupted one after another as the creatures came out out of the deep sand.

Xin didn't even care about his weapon as he left it on the creature's body as blitzed toward where the sand had erupted.

Empowering his body with shinsu, especially on his legs to massively boost his mobility, Xin threw a punch that accurately hit the creature before he moved very quickly to another spot to deliver another punch to another one.

In just a few breaths of time, he had struck every single one of the creatures that emerged underneath the sand to attack them.

As the sand and dust settled down, they could see the figure of the creatures that attacked them.

They were creatures with brown dark skin and a long cylindrical body without any limbs. Their body was fleshy and there was some kind of goey layer on top of their skin. Their overall appearance looked like a worm but a lot bigger and with razor-sharp teeth filling their mouth.

Since Xin reacted quickly, their surprise attack had failed with the first worm who had attacked dead and the rest knocked back. Now, they were slowly wriggling on the sand.

Knowing that they were hopeless on the surface, the worms pushed their heads under the sand and tried to burrow themselves.

Naturally, Xin wouldn't let them off so easily. Pushing his hand forward, Xin shot many cylindrical balls of shinsu that rapidly hit the worms like a barrage of gunfire.

The cylindrical shinsu pierced their gooey skin and fleshy body, creating many gashes across their bodies. In just a few seconds, all of them were decimated and turned into a pile of bloody and gooey mess.

"That's should do them. I guess we are just always meeting these giant lesser worms instead of what we are trying to find." Said Xin.

"Well, that's normal, isn't it? This desert is their habitat and the lesser giant sandworms are the most common creatures here, after all." Liu Guanyi commented.

The giant lesser sandworm, indeed, that what was the creature called. It was a gigantic worm that could grow up to six feet. However, even with its massive size, it was categorized as "lesser".

Well, they had done their due diligence so they knew what the reason was, there was the bigger kind of the species around!

"Anyway, let's go. We should continue our journey." Liu Guanyi said as Xin nodded and they began to walk again, leaving the worms' corpses untouched. Well, it didn't matter as they were worth next to nothing so taking their bodies would be a waste of time.

As they walked through the desert in a straight direction for a few miles, suddenly the wind picked up the pace and blew strongly in their direction, carrying clusters of dust and sand.

Adori and Xin pulled their hoodies inward to protect their eyes while Liu Guanyi calmly kept staring forward uncaring of the raging sandstorm.

They continued to trek forward with Liu Guanyi in the front and Xin and Adori followed in the back. Instead of subsiding, the sandstorm grew stronger the more they walked forward, making each step becoming heavier and heavier every time.

Fortunately, with their powerful constitutions, it wasn't that much of a work to keep their balance and continue to walk forward.

Walking forward withstanding the sandstorm, no words were exchanged between them as they were all focused on going forward.

They didn't know how long the sandstorm had lasted but when it began to subside and they could see the sky again, the sky had become much darker.
