"Before we go in, we should turn off all of our lights, including our observers. Since it's already midnight, most of the creatures will be very active so any light will make us stand out like a sore thumb in the pitch-black darkness." Explained Theo as they stopped before another curving tunnel.

"I am sure you are more than capable of a good shinsu sensing ability, your highness. So I just hope that your teammates can use the ability as well." Said the scout.

Adori glanced at him. "Don't worry, I don't take just random people into my team. These two are more than capable of doing such a simple feat."

Theo nodded his head and smiled. "That's reassuring, your highness, because we won't know what will happen in there. Of course, that I have personally explored the deep parts but going there alone is much easier and discreet than in a team."

Xin turned off the light from his regular observer just like what Theo did.

"Alright, let's go." Adori said softly.

They began to descend into the tunnel but instead of going by sliding on the wall or just falling, to prevent making noises and attract the monsters, they decided to slowly scale the sloping tunnel by using the uneven rocks that protruded from the tunnel walls.

None of them were having a hard time scaling the wall since all of them had a trained, strong, and flexible body. Naturally, Liu Guanyi who was in the front was the one who had the easiest time.

He didn't even use his hands to help him descend. Rather than calling it scaling, it was more of descending stairways for him as he walked and jumped from a rock to another very quickly.

Driven by her competitive spirit, Adori also didn't use her hands, or even legs. Instead, she used something that many regulars wouldn't think of using it like her.

She tied her hand with a string that was connected to her reel inventory and then, shot the string with a needle to the wall, making it stuck there as she let herself fall and guided to the stuck needle.

Then, Adori swung herself with the momentum using the string and shot another needle using another reel inventory that was connected to her other hand as she pulled the needle back.

Everytime Adori swung her body using her reel inventories, she created a beautiful arch swing. It was as if she was like a monkey in the forest that could skillfully jump from a tree to another using the tree branches continuously.

Xin also tried to do his best. He tried to copy what Liu Guanyi did and the result wasn't bad, though he wasn't descending as fast and graceful as him.

Meanwhile, looking at three people, especially the fisherman and the princess, Theo had a bitter face and a wry smile.

Not only that he was left behind as they descended to the tunnel very quickly, but he was also the only one who scaled on the walls, which was pretty disgraceful for his image even though he was quite skillful in this regard.

It made him looked like boastful when he had no expertise at all. Theo clicked his tongue, rather than hurting his reputation even more, he decided to follow the example of the yellow-haired scout. Since the boy could do it, it shouldn't be that hard right?

He removed his hands from the rocks and faced the long and dark tunnel that descended far into the deep like it was a mouth of a behemoth creature that swallowed everything.

Theo could see nothing in front of him, even his hands. However, as an experienced regular who had spent more than a hundred years climbing the tower, he wasn't afraid of the darkness nor did he become panic from seeing the bottomless abyss.

By controlling and using shinsu, he spread it to the environment, acting as some sort of radar that could detect and sense everything around him. Using this skill, he tried to search for the best rock he could jump onto.

Without hesitation, Theo jumped to the rock and as he had calculated, he had landed just fine. However, he could sense the presence of the princess and the black-haired fisherman anymore and could only faintly sense the boy in the distance, meaning that they had left him long behind.

Knowing this, Theo quickly picked up his pace a bit by bit. It was working quite well as he managed to somewhat catch up with the boy. Feeling that he could do more, he increased the pace significantly so he could be positioned himself just right behind Xin.

For the first few rocks, Theo had managed to successfully land without a problem. Unfortunately, when he landed on the next rocky section of the wall, he had used too much force when he jumped that his feet touched it, his body became wobbly as he tried to quickly re-balanced himself.

However, due to the slippery mold that grew on top of the rock, Theo didn't manage to recover his balance and slipped from the rock, falling straight into the darkness.

Feeling the wind resistance as he dropped, Theo quickly recovered his bearing as he clicked his tongue in annoyance. Since it was already like this, he decided to ride the gravity to descend way faster and efficiently than what he ever could and should be even faster than the fisherman and the princess.

His prediction was correct as Theo had overtaken Xin in just a few seconds who had stopped for a second as he sensed him falling.

When Theo had sensed the princess as he approached her position quickly, he pulled his two needles and grinded them against the wall to slow down his momentum.

After a few seconds, he could finally control his body again as he had slowed down significantly and grabbed a big chunk of rock as he twirled around it and landed on top of it.

Learning the lesson, Theo decided to resume his descent at a pace that he was comfortable with.

After some time, Theo and Xin managed to reach the bottom of the tunnel as Liu Guanyi and Adori had patiently waited for them. Seeing them looking at him, the scout calmed his thoughts and sorted his expression.

"So, do you now trust my teammates' capabilities?" Adori asked calmly.

"Certainly, your highness." The scout politely replied with his head bowed down.
