When the charcoal and wooden racks were ready, Liu Guanyi held out a short wooden stick in one of his hands. He rubbed his thumb and index finger of his other hand together repeatedly. In just a few seconds, they became reddish.

Not the normal reddish skin look that people naturally had due to friction or abrasion, but an extremely orange-reddish color that looked like fire. Then, Liu Guanyi roughly ran down his point finger across the length of the wooden stick, scratching on its coarse surface.

Immediately, the wooden stick was suddenly caught up in fire as the red flame was unmistakable!

Even though it was nothing amazing, especially in the tower where people could do so much more, it was still an incredible feat as Liu Guanyi effortlessly started a fire by just scratching a wooden stick a single time using his finger!

Liu Guanyi didn't use shinsu at all as it wouldn't help him in the process. This was because he didn't have the shinsu property of fire so his shinsu wouldn't be able to create heat.

Then, how did he manage to do such a feat? It was simple, it was all due to the inner energy and his prodigious and immaculate control of it.

Martial Warriors used inner energy or life energy to strengthen their body to slowly but surely surpass the limits of their body, or more ambitiously, the limit of a mortal body.

To do that, they had to understand and master the inner energy so as to be able to accomplish their lifelong ambition.

As a Complete Warrior, Liu Guanyi had achieved an important milestone on the Martial Way. Back then in his previous world, anyone who had reached even the beginning of the Great Completion realm would be highly respected and praised in the Martial World.

This was because Complete Warriors were those who had preserved and walked far on the Martial Way and were finally able to glimpse into the peak of the way itself.

When a Martial Warrior reached the Great Completion realm, their body had been fully refined and restructured with the inner energy, making them extremely resilient and strong, much more than the previous state before it was refined with the inner energy.

Although there was a difference in how much the improvement was from person to person, nonetheless, it was normally should be at least dozens of times more powerful than before. This was especially the case for Liu Guanyi.

Due to the effect of shinsu, now, his body was at least one hundred times more powerful in the same rank compared to what he had been back then in his world, an incredibly massive and significant improvement!

Because of this, his body was far more powerful than what Liu Guanyi ever felt. It was as if there was an infinite surge of power within his veins and no matter how much he used it, he would never exhaust his energy.

What did all of these have to do with creating fire with his finger though?

Well, it was possible because his body was extremely tough that Liu Guanyi could make it possible. What he did was simple in theory, but actually, very hard to apply in reality. Even if in the tower there were probably only a few people that could do it.

Liu Guanyi only flowed his inner energy to his index finger and thumb. He converted all of the inner energy that he flowed into heat by increasing the biological process in those two particular areas, and then rubbed both of them together to increase the heat temperature even more.

This would make the temperature of his finger high, extremely so as his skin became orange-reddish like and when he scratched his finger along the wooden stick, it had instantly caught in a fire.

After learning about temperature measurement on the internet, Liu Guanyi estimated that the temperature of his point finger had reached close to a thousand degrees Celsius just before he used to scratch it on the wooden stick, an extremely high temperature!

What was even more amazing was that his finger didn't seem to melt or burn at all as it only changed in color and returned to normal shortly after.

How could that be amazing? The answer lied on the melting point for solid things and the boiling point for liquid things.

The boiling point of water was at 100 degrees Celsius. If boiled water touched human skin, it could cause a first-degree burn on the impact as human skin could sustain first-degree burn at the temperature of around 118 degrees Celsius.

A second-degree burn can occur on human skin at a temperature of 131 degrees Celsius. And lastly, human skin would be destroyed and melted when the temperature reached 162 degrees Celsius.

However, Liu Guanyi had effortlessly withstood a very high temperature of almost 1000 degrees Celsius?

A temperature point that had already far surpassed the maximum limit of humans, the 162 degrees Celsius? This was extremely unbelievable even by the tower's standard!

Yes, it was true. Even though people or any creature in the tower was much tougher and stronger than their normal counterparts, it was mostly in terms of physical strength and defense. In terms of elemental resistance, although it was stronger, it was still somewhat reasonable.

That was why, even the upper-rank members of the ten great families were still vulnerable to elemental attacks, such as fire, lightning, ice, and many others as their elemental resistance was much weaker than their physical resistance.

Because of this, having a good shinsu quality like lightning or fire would be extremely helpful in the tower and those who had even one of them would be considered as talents.

Not only having a shinsu quality would boost their offensive potential a lot, it would also grant them special capabilities that the normal shinsu from wouldn't be able to do.

Xin whistled in amazement at Liu Guanyi's "trick" as Liu Guanyi only smiled in response and threw the burning stick into the pile of charcoal, igniting it aflame.

Then, without waiting any longer, they placed a few wooden racks above the burning charcoal and quickly tied the dead elks one on each of them.
