Chapter 182- The Intricacies of The Martial Way

Most, if not everyone, would think that the Martial Way was focused on the physical aspect as every Martial Practitioner needed to train their body before awakening the inner energy, in the Initiate Warrior realm, and Nascent Warrior realm.

This was true indeed, as with each realm, their physical strength would become more powerful, their bones become hard like a diamond, their flesh became steel-like fibers, and their skin became impenetrable like iron.

However, that was only the half-truth.

Even though the Martial Way seemed entirely focused on the physical aspect at first glance, especially in the beginning realms, it was deeper and vaster than that.

As Liu Guanyi had said previously, always look deeper beyond the superficial details. He realized this particular saying when he had to comprehend the Martial Way in this realm.

After breaking into the Great Completion realm, Martial Practitioners were already perfect in their body and from as they had reached a balanced harmony in their body after refining all of the blood vessels, bones, and inner organs.

Hence, no matter what they tried to do, they couldn't further enhance and refine their body, it already reached its maximum potential. The body had reached its peak. No matter what, it just wouldn't improve anymore.

Many Martial Practitioners at this point thought, was this the end of the Martial Way?

Was the extent of the Martial Way only this?

Even after many years of pondering and contemplation, they were still stagnant and couldn't find a way out of this problem so many of them gave up.

However, some people wouldn't just give up like that.

At the time, there was a prodigy that thought differently from the rest. What if the way how they think of the Martial Way and inner energy was flawed in the first place and not that the Martial Way was very short and simplistic?

Then after many long processes of trials and errors, he finally found the way beyond, the way to move forward on the Martial Way, the way to become greater!

If the physical aspect couldn't be improved anymore, could there be another aspect that the inner energy could refine and be built upon? After all, the Martial Way always taught the concept of harmony and balance in all things.

Like there was cold and heat, fire and water, day and night, and many other examples in nature that anyone could easily observe that implied there were always two sides that were opposite in nature but actually could merge and work together in harmony and created the balance.

Drawing from this concept, wouldn't there should be the opposite side of the physical aspect just like all the other things that existed in nature? It was likely, right?

Turned out he was right, there was the other half or the other side of the physical aspect!

It was the spiritual aspect!

He managed to find it out by reviewing all the theories and knowledge about the inner energy that was available at the time and realized a mind-blowing fact.

Although many Martial Practitioners often overlooked it, wasn't the inner energy couldn't be seen by naked eyes nor it could be felt by touch and all basic senses? Or more specifically, wasn't the inner energy itself didn't exist physically?

After all, countless Martial Warriors had met their demise since the establishment of the Martial Way and a lot of people could see and dissect their bodies to check their organs. However, in spite of that, they hadn't found anything that really differentiated them from normal humans.

There was no special organ that formed in their body, no fundamental change in their skeletal form or anything the like. Only that their organs were in much better condition and quality compared to the normal version.

That was why, rather than existing in the physical dimension, the inner energy existed in the spiritual dimension.

If not because those who walked on the Martial Way had superior strength and improved bodily functions that far surpassed normal humans, nobody would be able to ascertain that the inner energy truly existed, after all.

Now, after knowing that they should also improve the spiritual aspect in accordance with the physical aspect to achieve a new balance in both aspects, what should they improve then?

After many trials and errors, and discussion with other experts, he finally found out the thirteen spiritual points inside a Martial Practitioner's body that was closest to the physical dimension and thus, easiest to be felt as they almost overlapped with the physical dimension.

They acted as some sort of anchor and transmitter for the inner energy to be able to affect the physical body and change their nature despite there being no evident physical changes.

They were placed near certain places in the body.

One in the forehead, one in the middle of the throat, one in the middle of the chest, one in the belly button, one in the groin, one each in the palm of the hands, one each upper part of the arm, one each in the sole of the feet, and one each in the upper part of the legs.

Hence, there were thirteen stages in this realm and it was named the Great Completion as it signified both the completion of the refinement of both physical and spiritual aspects in the human body.

The process of the refinement as stated before, was easy as any Martial Practitioner who wanted to accomplish the task had passed the Nascent Warrior realm and had their body fully refined with inner energy.

So, what they had to was just to guide the inner energy from all sides of their body to gather and nourish all the thirteen spiritual points.

This would strengthen the anchor they had to the physical dimension and after a long time, would become fully integrated as both the physical part and spiritual part worked in harmony like day and night.

And thus, the road to the Master Realm was opened wide!
