It has been two days since since Kentaro and Hatsu had left grandma Riko.
They were going north, to the land of waterfalls. Kentaro was pressed to go to the land of earth and Hatsu was exited to see things she had never seen.
At night, Kentaro would make a little camp with his earth style and make a fire with his fire style.
Having multiple elements was truly handy.
Kentaro and Hatsu were sitting near the fire, cooking some meat.
"The night is cold isn't it, Hatsu?"
Hatsu nodded and got closer to Kentaro.
"Yes, it is."
Kentaro put his arm around her, this would warm him and her up.
The meat cooked for five minutes on the fire. Kentaro placed it on a piece of wood and cut it in two with a knife that grandma Riko had placed in one of the bags.
Cutting the two pieces evenly, he gave one to Hatsu. They ate it with pieces of bread and some water that Kentaro made with his water style.
"Kentaro, do you know when we'll reach the land of waterfalls?"
Looking on his map while chewing on some bread, Kentaro was not sure himself.
"I think we'll reach in two or three days, but if we speed things up we could reach it tomorrow."
Hatsu didn't like to speed things up and she had let it known to Kentaro.
"Yes I know, we won't begin running like we did two days ago. So it will be three days."
"Is the land of waterfalls beautiful? Have you ever been there?"
"No Hatsu, it will be the first time for you and me. But when I hear the name, it sounds like a beautiful place."
It sounded beautiful indeed.
The two of them slept with a filled stomach, a long road awaited them.
Kentaro woke up the first. He didn't know why but he felt as if they were observed by someone or something.
He woke Hatsu up and she quickly prepared herself.
"Why are you so agitated?"
"We must leave this place, I feel like we are being watched."
She felt very uncomfortable after hearing that, being watched is creepy!
They leaved quickly, Kentaro took the quickest route he saw on the map.
He began running but Hatsu was struggling to keep up, she was fast but not as fast as Kentaro.
Seeing this, Kentaro stopped running. He grabbed Hatsu and carried her on his back, someone was following them, he was sure of it.
"Kentaro, why don't you face the one who is following us?"
'Fuck, what she says isn't false. I have to stop being a coward!'
Kentaro stopped running and slid while turning towards the or their followers.
Unsheating his katana he prepared to fight.
"Come out of the bushes! Face me!"
Out of the bushes came seven shinobi. They were armed with katanas and giant shuriken that were placed on their back.
One of the seven men was familiar to Kentaro. He had long brown hair, he was as tall as him, he was young.
"Why are you following us! Talk, before I finish with your lives."
The one who was familiar to Kentaro walked forward and talked on behalf of his men.
"Calm down, we are only following you because we saw your fight against Madara Uchiha. We need your help, mister."
"We can't trust him, Kakuzu!" one of the men exclaimed.
Kentaro was confused, why did they need help? And the name of the one who Kentaro found familiar was called Kakuzu, Kakuzu?!
Kakuzu payed no heed to the words of his brethren.
"We come from the land of waterfalls, we are willing to escort you there safely but in exchange we need your strength."
"I can travel there myself, I don't need your escort nor am I willing to lend you my strength."
Kentaro made it very clear to Kakuzu and his brethren.
"Listen, the Yochida clan has control over the whole land of waterfalls. All the other clans are subservient to them.
My clan, the Yamada, are against them and are living hidden in the land as we are researched by the Yochida and its allies."
Kentaro found all this information interesting but it had nothing to do with him.
"and what does it have to do with me?"
"Our clan leader has sent us in search of a powerful shinobi no matter who it is. We will offer you whatever you want if you help us, mister."
The land of waterfalls is a foreign place for Kentaro and Hatsu. Being led by them could not be so bad and if they had lied to him, he would just kill them.
"We will follow you. Let me tell you, if you lie or play a trick on us, I will not hesitate to kill you and all your clansmen."
Being threatened by a shinobi like Kentaro, Kakuzu was a little bit under pressure. He was only a nighteen year old young man after all.
"Do not worry mister."
Kentaro began following Kakuzu and his brehtren.
They had led him and Hatsu to a place that wasn't even shown in the map, it was a cave.
At the end of the cave was water, it looked very deep.
"Mister, we have to navigate in the water to the other side of the cave. When you see light just come to the surface."
All the yamada had already plunged in the water.
Hatsu came off of kentaro's back and tied her hair with the green bracelet.
"Are you gonna be fine Hatsu?"
Hatsu nodded her head and plunged in the water, Kentaro followed suit.
The water was bright, he could see Hatsu swimming in front of him.
Light pierced the water. Following the words of the Yamada, Kentaro swam to the surface.
His head came out of the water, he saw the seven men helping Hatsu getting out of the water.
"Mister, take my hand."
Looking towards the voice he saw Kakuzu reaching his hand to him. Kentaro grabbed his hand and got out of the water.
"Let's go down this path."
The Yamada led Kentaro and Hatsu outside of the cave. The weather was sunny and the wind was very soft.
Kakuzu turned to look at Kentaro.
"Welcome to the land of waterfalls, mister."
